This then is the message which we have heard of him, and declare unto you, that God is light, and in him is no darkness at all. If we say that we have fellowship with him, and walk in darkness, we lie, and do not the truth: But if we walk in the light, as he is in the light, we have fellowship one with another, and the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanseth us from all sin. 1 John 1:5-7
It’s trendy nowadays to have “progressive” Christianity, which is basically a liberal version of Christianity, so we can be all inclusive, all approving of all the sin in this world. However as the Apostle John states here “God is light, and in him is no darkness at all” They can use the argument God is love, which is true and John teaches on that later, however God is also Holy, meaning sinless, and there is no darkness in God, this is why Jesus said “You must be Born Again to see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3)
This idea that you can remain who you are, that you can be accepted by God as you are, is just simply not Biblical. If that was the case, then there would have been no reason for Christ to die on the cross for our sins. We must be transformed and cleansed by the blood of Christ and the baptism of the Holy Spirit. There is no darkness in God, therefore in order to be reconciled back to God, you must be Born Again. This is very clear from the scriptures.
Then the Apostle John goes on to say “If we say that we have fellowship with Him (God) and walk in darkness, we lie, and don’t have the truth” Again you can’t be reconciled back to God and still be dead in your sins (Ephesians 2) If you believe this, then the Apostle under the inspiration of the Holy Spirit says your a liar. Don’t be deceived , unless you are Born Again, you will not see the Kingdom of God” (John 3:3) Jesus also goes on to say “Why do you call me Lord, and not do the things I say” (Luke 6:46)
If we confess Jesus is Lord, Christ is your Master, he is your boss. If we call ourselves Christians, then why don’t you truly follow Christ? We can’t make up our own theology to fit our lifestyles, if you are a Christian then you submit to the authority of Christ. Jesus said “If you love me, Keep my commandments” (John 14:16) We can’t walk in darkness and walk in Christ, they are in total opposition of each other. If we believe we can we are a liar according to God
You might say “We are all sinners” (Romans 3:23) Yes that’s true but as the Apostle John tells us “the blood of Jesus Christ his Son cleanses us from all sin” We are all sinners, but Christ will cleanse you from your sin. Christ will set your free from all your sins (John 8) If you still remain in your sins, have you really been cleansed? You can’t walk in the light while walking in darkness, you must be Born Again! Amen!

This passage is the biblical answer to those who espouse the yin and yang concept – of darkness and light being two sides that are interconnected and inseparable. No, “God is Light, and in Him there is NO darkness.” 👍

To know,
Lucifer, bringer of light
Satan, prince of darkness

I’m not sure what you’re saying here, but according to Scripture Lucifer is the angel that was cast out of heaven, a. k. a. Satan, who disguises himself as an angel of light. He may have both light and darkness in him, but the “light” is false light. Lucifer and Satan are one and the same.

Is the name “Lucifer”, as a proper noun with a capital L, “biblical”? I am not aware of this.
In Old Testament prophecy, the title “morning star” is used of an evil being given the title The King of Babylon. Interestingly, the same title is also used of our Lord Jesus Christ in the New Testament, I think.
The name Lucifer is used in Luciferianism. Let Luciferians own the name, and tell us in peace what it means to them in their mythology, I say. It’s not a biblical or a Christian word, so we need to show them respect, by not telling them that we know better what the name they esteem (and we Christians most certainly don’t) means.
I noticed something interesting in Isaiah 14. It spoke of Jacob (a.k.a. Israel) getting the Holy Land back, but of having to share the land (which runs from the river to the sea, and also east of the river) with others. This chimes with something I’ve been thinking myself, in the light of a contemporary conflict that has come to a head in recent events reported on the news. Many world politicians have advocated what they call a “two state solution”. I have been uncomfortable about this, because it amounts to something akin to Apartheid. I thing it could prolong the present agony, not shorten it. I had wondered: why not a “one state solution”? The hostility of some Palestinians towards Jewish settlers and their vision for the dire future of modern Israel (tantamount to anihilation of what they call “the entity”) stands in the way, of course. But if peace could be made, not necessarily escatological, lasting peace wrought theocratically in the name of the Prince of Peace, but in the lesser and temporary peace in the name of secular, universal suffrage democracy, as peace was made in South Africa, might not this be the most we could hope for in the Holy Land, especially in the light of this prophecy, now that the diaspora that came to a head in 70AD has gone into a Zionism-fuelled reverse since 1948?

What is the purpose of education and teaching in any area of learning in life?
Without it, we would have remained in the caves like troglodytes!
Maybe that way there would be a better chance! Just it no!
The science of GOOD and EVIL has opened our eyes, and now we can “see,” but “NOT TO BE GODS,” but to be reconciled to the Kingdom of Peace!
“For ye have not received the spirit of bondage again to fear; but ye have received the Spirit of adoption, whereby we cry, Abba, Father.”
