Good points here brother. Godly authority is essential. We must be accountable to elders and each other, adomishing and encouraging one another “as iron sharpens iron”.
But I don’t believe in the typical church model where believers sit as an audience, hanging on the words of one man.
There should be a broader base of authority, like elders, and the Body of Christ should be participants, expressing the spiritual gifts the Lord gives.
Too much propensity for celebrity pulpits and power abuse. “Pastor” is not a job, its a calling. With or without salary or benefits, if God is calling a man to shepherd, he will answer that call, even if he must make tents to do it.

Great points also here sister! Pastor is a higher calling, I agree but they also need to support their family…. there’s a line to walk
God bless!
