Ephesians 1- Christ Chosen Us

Blessed be the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ, who hath blessed us with all spiritual blessings in heavenly places in Christ: According as he hath chosen us in him before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame before him in love: Having predestinated us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ to himself, according to the good pleasure of his will, To the praise of the glory of his grace, wherein he hath made us accepted in the beloved. Ephesians 1:3-6

For people who have said ‘they have never seen a miracle” or “they have never seen anything supernatural” the fact that any of us our saved is a miracle and it’s a supernatural act. Look at what the scriptures say “He has chose us, in him before the foundation of the world”. Think about that, you were chosen by Christ to be saved, before the Heavens and The Earth were even created

If you ever wonder if God loves you, God chose you to be saved. God hand picked you, called you by name to be saved. It’s a concept that is difficult for us to grasp, however I can tell you from my own experience, I became Born Again in Christ because he drew me to Him. I wasn’t going to Church, I never read the Bible, however I knew to call upon The Lord Jesus Christ to save me, and he did

Now another thing we see here in the scriptures “Having predestined us unto the adoption of children by Jesus Christ” We were predestined to become saved through Jesus Christ. Again this is another radical concept to understand. This has caused many theological debates and spits over the centuries, however when we take the Word of God at what it says, things are more simple. We were already predestined to become saved through Christ. Even during our wretched state, God still had a plan for us

Another thing I wanted to add is, we have become Children of God through the adoption of Jesus Christ. Many people have this false idea, that we are all automatically Children of God, this is not Biblical. We are all made in the image of God, however we are not God’s children until we become Born Again through Christ. Then after being transformed, we are adopted as God’s Children. We can’t be Children of God in our depraved state, we must be transformed, we must be Born Again, and this is only possible by Jesus Christ

Finally the scripture says “By his grace, he has made us accepted in the beloved” It’s only by God’s grace that we can be saved, and we become accepted when we are Born Again in Jesus Christ (John 3:3) Without the transformation of becoming a new creature, we can’t be accepted by God, because we are still dead in our sins. There has to be a spiritual rebirth by the Holy Spirit, Amen!
