And I saw a new heaven and a new earth: for the first heaven and the first earth were passed away; and there was no more sea. And I John saw the holy city, new Jerusalem, coming down from God out of heaven, prepared as a bride adorned for her husband.And I heard a great voice out of heaven saying, Behold, the tabernacle of God is with men, and he will dwell with them, and they shall be his people, and God himself shall be with them, and be their God. And God shall wipe away all tears from their eyes; and there shall be no more death, neither sorrow, nor crying, neither shall there be any more pain: for the former things are passed away. And he that sat upon the throne said, Behold, I make all things new. And he said unto me, Write: for these words are true and faithful. Revelation 21:1-5

As we come to the end of the year 2020, I’m sure most people are looking forward to the New Year. Most people are looking forward to things getting better, things being under control, things being secure for us

It reminds me of Jesus’ promise of “The New Heavens and Earth” in Revelation. A New World where there will be no more sickness, pain, and suffering, a new world where there will be no more death. A new world where evil is eliminated and good reigns forever! 

As a Christian, this is what I look forward to, God’s Kingdom coming down and Paradise being restored. And all of this is possible because of Jesus Christ, everything He accomplished at the manager, at the cross, and at the tomb, made it possible for us to be reborn and God’s Kingdom to be restored

So as we end another difficult year, take comfort in the words of our Lord Jesus Christ “Have courage because Jesus has already overcome the world” (John 16:33) Happy New Year! God bless!

    Looking into Jesus the Author and Finisher of our faith! He’s the Word that spoke everything that exists into being and promises, predestines a most maginificent wrap up to our hard journey and stories of redemption. He is our Hope, our confident assurance of a happily ever after!
