If it be possible, as much as lieth in you, live peaceably with all men. Romans 12:18
Boy if people today would just read their Bibles, maybe we could actually have conversations with each other without starting drama. God tells us to try and live peacefully with everyone! Now I know this is not always possible. If somebody assaults or abuses you, you have a right to defend yourself. But in general, lets try to “Love Your Neighbor” as Jesus commanded us
Why cant we live in peace with one another? Mostly because of our sinful nature, isn’t that ironic. People either want control over everything for greed and power, or people have hidden agendas for more power or maybe sexually motivated. Bottom line its typically our sin that creates our hate for one another
Dearly beloved, avenge not yourselves, but rather give place unto wrath: for it is written, Vengeance is mine; I will repay, saith the Lord. Romans 12:19
As Jesus taught “Love Your Enemies” and “Turn the other Cheek” the Bible tells us to let God get our revenge and not ourselves. I know this sounds like a foreign concept for us. We want control, we want to take revenge in our own hands. However we can live with inner peace letting go and letting God take control
Therefore if thine enemy hunger, feed him; if he thirst, give him drink: for in so doing thou shalt heap coals of fire on his head. Romans 12:20
The Bible tells us to go even one step further, as Jesus stated “Love Your Enemies”. If your enemy is hungry, feed them. If your enemy is thirsty, give them something to drink. What radical love is this? This radical love can only come from Jesus Christ, who even though we were enemies of God, Christ still died for us! Amen!
Amen

Guilty. I don’t have people I call enemy but I certainly treat people as if they are sometimes. Thanks for the reminder.
