Render therefore to all their dues: tribute to whom tribute is due; custom to whom custom; fear to whom fear; honour to whom honour. Romans 13:7
When the Pharisees questioned Jesus, show we pay taxes to Caesar? His response was not what everyone was looking for. As the Apostle Paul is basing his teachings on Jesus, we are to pay our taxes to the governments and respect their authority. You might ask why? Why would God want us to obey corrupted governments and give them are hard earned wages?
First off God is a God of Law and Order. Without our governments , police force, and militaries, there would be total chaos in the world. Governments were instilled by God to maintain some Law and Order among people. However with that being said, when a government implements their own laws that are contradictory to Gods word, we should not follow them.
For example, gay marriage. God implement his law of Marriage in the book of Genesis (Genesis 2). Jesus also teaches on this subject (Mark 10) Apostle Paul also teaches on the subject of marriage (Ephesians 5)When governments try to overrule God and make their own laws, we should obey Gods law instead
Owe no man any thing, but to love one another: for he that loveth another hath fulfilled the law. Romans 13:8
Now even though we have differences and opinions with others, we should still try to Love them. For example the gay marriage topic, you may not agree with me that marriage should only be between one man and one woman. That’s ok, I respect your opinion, I have my convictions and you have yours, doesn’t mean we have to be at war over it
The last chapter Paul said “We should try to live in peace with everyone” (Romans 12:18) Same with our governments , police, military, ect. live at peace with them, not in anarchy or constant protest. Jesus is the King of Kings and the governments all rest upon His shoulders (Isaiah 9:6) Amen!

Romans 1:26-27 clearly speaks against Homosexuality, both gayism and lesbianism. As Christians, we should not agree with that lifestyle at all, but instead, we should extend love to them. The world condemns them, but a christian should not. We should instead win them to Christ with love. The love of God has the power to miraculously transform someone. Being the historian that I am, I like digging people’s past and get to the roots. I found out that, there are underlying issues that cause people to behave the way they do.
Rejection, abuse, confusion, depression and wrong influence are the root causes to many issues in the society. Once you get to the root, the outside crumbles and you can now get through to the person with the message of Christ. But of course, to do all that, you need the Holy Spirit. For what we wrestle against is not of flesh and blood (Ephesians 6:12) I better end there lest I write a whole sermon. I have really enjoyed reading that. It was a quick reminder. May God bless you in Jesus name!
