For as we have many members in one body, and all members have not the same office: So we, being many, are one body in Christ, and every one members one of another. Romans 12:4-5
The body of Christ is a mysterious thing, even though we are all separate people, differentiated by gender, race, and nationality, we are all one through Jesus Christ. However doesn’t seem like the “Church” has gotten the message. Today we have over 40,000 different “Christian” denominations and groups, this is not what God had planned for us
We need to understand , we are One body of Christ, not multiple bodies. There is only one head of the body, Jesus Christ! We are his hands and feet, he is the Lord over all. There is no authority above Christ, any group who tries to implement this is a cult group
Having then gifts differing according to the grace that is given to us, whether prophecy, let us prophesy according to the proportion of faith; Or ministry, let us wait on our ministering: or he that teacheth, on teaching; Or he that exhorteth, on exhortation: he that giveth, let him do it with simplicity; he that ruleth, with diligence; he that sheweth mercy, with cheerfulness. Romans 12:6-8
We must also remember every “body” has a different role. Just as your physical body, your parts all have a different function within the entire body. For example your hand and your foot, are both part of your body yet have different functions. Neither part is greater than the other part, they both have their purpose. If one of them was removed, then it would be noticeable and the other parts would have to work harder to fulfill that role
The same is within the Body of Christ, not everyone is going to be a minister or a teacher, however everyone has a role and a part to play. Nobody is greater than anyone else. One of the greatest mistakes “Churches” make is exalting a pastor or worship leader. This should not happen, as they are no greater than anyone else within the body
Try to live in peace and unity with your brother and sisters in Christ, this is the will of God, as we are all one through Jesus Christ Amen!
