For he saith to Moses, I will have mercy on whom I will have mercy, and I will have compassion on whom I will have compassion. So then it is not of him that willeth, nor of him that runneth, but of God that sheweth mercy. Romans 9:15-16
Who can be saved? Only God knows! Who is actually saved? Only God knows! Many will argue this is unjust for God not to allow someone to come to salvation, but who are we to say if something is just? Can we save ourselves? Of course not, only by the blood of Christ can we be brought back to life. Then why do think we know even how to become saved?
Just as God said to Moses “I AM who I AM” meaning “I’ll be who I want to be” we are the clay and he is the potter. Can a creation tell its Creator how things work? Why do we believe we can tell God how things should work?
For the scripture saith unto Pharaoh, Even for this same purpose have I raised thee up, that I might shew my power in thee, and that my name might be declared throughout all the earth. Romans 9:17
The Apostle Paul uses Pharaoh as an example of someone God raised up to fulfill his will of freeing the Israelites from slavery of Egypt. Now from our human perspective we might say “This is not Just” or “How is it fair to Pharaoh?” However since we are limited by time and space, we can’t see the beginning from the end. God is eternal , he knows your entire life before you were even born
Trust in Jesus Christ, not yourself. God is in control, he knows the beginning and the end, trust in Jesus Amen!
