Into His Hands

And when Jesus had cried with a loud voice, he said, Father, into thy hands I commend my spirit: and having said thus, he gave up the ghost Luke 23:46

Before Jesus took his last breathe on the cross, He said “Father Into Your Hands I commit My Spirit”, what powerful words that were brought to life by Christ on the cross. This was a Jewish prayer that is based off of Psalms 31

Jesus demonstrated his complete obedience to the Father on the cross, even to the point of death! (Philippians 2) Are we able or willing to show this obedience to God? This is a beautiful prayer that we should cry out to Abba Father

Pull me out of the net that they have laid privily for me: for thou art my strength. Into thine hand I commit my spirit: thou hast redeemed me, O LORD God of truth. Psalm 31:4-5

Regardless of what people do to us, trust in God to deliver you! There will come a time when you will be so beaten down by this world, that your strength will fail. But in our weakness , God is strong! Cling to God for you salvation

Oh Heavenly Father , into Your Hands we commit my Spirit, into your hands I commit my life, let your will be done in Jesus name Amen!

Yes! This is so very true. We experienced this first hand when on Oct. 11, 2011 we were locked out of our only shelter and sent into homelessness. Yes we were beaten down and almost destroyed. Almost. 🙂 But God brought us through it all. He IS mighty and powerful and He delivers ALL who put their faith in Him. In our broken weakness He overcame our enemy and rescued us! Praise GOd for the wilderness!

    Blessings,
