New Heart

being manifested that you are a letter of Christ, cared for by us, written not with ink but with the Spirit of the living God, not on tablets of stone but on tablets of human hearts. 2 Corinthians 3:3

Many Christians today still have great confusion over the difference between the Old and New Covenants. The Apostle Paul gives a clear teaching in this chapter, when you become Born Again and baptized by the Holy Spirit, the Law of God is written in your heart. Its not the Law that was written in stone, its written by the Holy Spirit

Now many people have a hard time comprehending this, how can we live morally if we are not under the Law anymore? Because we are living by the Holy Spirit under Grace, not living by the flesh under the Law. The old man has been crucified and you have been made new!

who also made us adequate as servants of a new covenant, not of the letter but of the Spirit; for the letter kills, but the Spirit gives life. 2 Corinthians 3:6

By the Holy Spirit , God has made us worthy enough to be his servants. We are not worthy by doing the works of theLaw, by its by the redeeming blood of Jesus Christ. We should not boast in our works either because we are only redeemed by the blood of Christ.

As Paul states the Law kills as none of us are worthy or able to fulfill the Law, but only Jesus is worthy or able to fulfill the Law (Matthew 5:17) which makes us righteous before God

“Moreover, I will give you a new heart and put a new spirit within you; and I will remove the heart of stone from your flesh and give you a heart of flesh. Ezekiel 36:26

The New Covenant is not a New Testament idea, this was a prophecy throughout the Old Testament. The Prophet Ezekiel states God will remove our heart of stone (The Law) and replace it with a New Heart and New Spirit, the baptism of the Holy Spirit creates our New Heart!

Only Jesus can save you, receive him into your heart and become Born Again Amen!

Peddling Jesus?

For we are not like many, peddling the word of God, but as from sincerity, but as from God, we speak in Christ in the sight of God. 2 Corinthians 2:17

Lets be honest, modern day Christianity has become corrupted. Turn on the TV and all you see if false prophets pushing a false gospel. But this is not new, as the Apostle Paul states here to the Church of Corinth, he was not like those false prophets pushing a false gospel to make money

The original Greek word here is kapēleuontes which means peddling, to adulterate, to deal in purpose of gain. Basically it means people are using Jesus as a product to make money. We see this throughout the world, while there are numerous people starving and homeless, false prophets and banking in millions of dollars, living in mansions, and flying private jets.

No one can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one and love the other, or he will be devoted to one and despise the other. You cannot serve God and wealth. Matthew 6:24

Jesus warned about the seduction of money. This is the danger with money, it can bring you a false sense of power and you lust after it more than God. This is why Jesus advised the Rich Young Ruler to give away all his money to avoid this temptation

Many false preachers and ministries might have started out with good intentions but then fall to the seduction of money. Don’t sell your soul for this world, be sincere in your faith to the Lord Jesus Christ. Honor God with everything you do in Jesus Name Amen!

Comfort With Christ

indeed, we had the sentence of death within ourselves so that we would not trust in ourselves, but in God who raises the dead; 2 Corinthians 1:9

How do we deal with death and despair? How can our human minds even comprehend losing the life of a loved one or our own life? God will comfort you through this! Yes that’s right, as difficult as life may seem we are given eternal hope and comfort through Jesus Christ

Now you might say, well these are just words for people to feel better. No God demonstrated this hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ! If your looking for a historical event that you could place all your hope on it’s the resurrection of Christ

who delivered us from so great a peril of death, and will deliver us, He on whom we have set our hope. And He will yet deliver us, 2 Corinthians 1:10

God will deliver us from the sting of death because Jesus defeated death at Calvary! When you understand this, you have the blessed hope and comfort from God that only he can provide. Nobody else can provide you this hope and comfort!

you also joining in helping us through your prayers, so that thanks may be given by many persons on our behalf for the favor bestowed on us through the prayers of many. 2 Corinthians 1:11

Regardless of what this world says, Prayer is a powerful weapon! Pray for hope and strength, pray for peace and comfort, most importantly pray for one another as brothers and sisters in Christ. Jesus is your comfort and deliverance Amen!

Creed of Christianity

For I delivered to you as of first importance what I also received, that Christ died for our sins according to the Scriptures, and that He was buried, and that He was raised on the third day according to the Scriptures, 1 Corinthians 15:3-4

The very first Christian “Creed” was written by the Apostle Paul. Many scholars believe this Creed could be written as early as 5 years after the resurrection. This is an amazing piece of historical evidence of the crucifixion and resurrection of Jesus Christ. Its important to understand how valuable and reliable this documentation is to the Resurrection of Christ

A Creed is a written set of beliefs, Christianity actually has several creeds including the Apostles Creed, Nicene Creed, ect. These are foundational beliefs that all Christians should agree with regardless of your denomination. The foundation of Christianity is the death and resurrection of Christ. The fact Paul documented this so early, confirms that Jesus death and resurrection was not a fable made up over time, but actual eye witnessed events

and if Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is vain, your faith also is vain. 1 Corinthians 15:14

As Paul states without the Resurrection of Jesus, Christianity is worthless. There is no hope without the Resurrection of Christ, however because we know Jesus rose from the dead, we have the eternal hope of overcoming sin and death by the blood of Christ

Regardless of your denomination or differences with other Christians, 1 Corinthians 15 should be a foundation for your faith as all our hope rests in the Resurrection of Jesus Christ

Love of Christ

If I speak with the tongues of men and of angels, but do not have love, I have become a noisy gong or a clanging cymbal. 1 Corinthians 13:1

What is our motive for doing good? Is our motive to check some boxes off or is our motive actually love? This is very important to remember in our ministries or churches, because its easy to forget why God saved us to begin with.

We can have lots of knowledge about the Bible, we can study Theology and Apologetics, however if there is no love behind our motivation than its pointless. How can we show people Christ died for us because he loved us, when we don’t love ourselves? If you truly believe Christ died for your sins because of love, shouldn’t you love others also?

If I have the gift of prophecy, and know all mysteries and all knowledge; and if I have all faith, so as to remove mountains, but do not have love, I am nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:2

Paul goes on to say without Love we are nothing! We can have the “gift of prophecy” or “faith that moves mountains” but if you’re a hateful person, your ministry is pointless. You can preach the greatest messages but if there is no love in you, your just a noisy gong

And if I give all my possessions to feed the poor, and if I surrender my body to be burned, but do not have love, it profits me nothing. 1 Corinthians 13:3

You can go through all the motions, and do the “Churchy” things that are expected. But if your heart is full of hate it profits you nothing! Were not going to be able to reach anyone with the gospel without the Love of Christ. What is the Love of Christ?

But God demonstrates His own love toward us, in that while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.

Even when we were rebellious, blasphemous, wicked, wretched, horrible people, Jesus still showed mercy towards us and died for us. That is true love, that is the Love of Christ. If we cant humble ourselves and learn from Jesus, then our conversion is worthless

Happy Fathers Day

What is a Father? A Father is symbolically the top role or responsibility that a man can obtain. When we look throughout the New Testament Jesus always addressed God as the Father. It’s a role that requires great responsibility, leadership, commitment, and most importantly love. Psychologist suggest that a Father Love has the greatest influence on a childs life more than anything else

So why do we as a society look so negatively at Fathers? We look at TV and see images of Homer Simpson or Al Bundy. This is the image our society has portrayed the Father. Men throughout history have failed greatly in their role as Father or they abandoned their role all together, this is why I believe we have so many social issues in society today.

However we need to know that we have a Heavenly Father, who will never leave or forsake us. He will show us grace and mercy when we don’t expect it. And his Love endures forever, we can come to know this Father through our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ

So today I would like to honor all Fathers, lets strive to be the best men we can to influence and support our children in becoming  the best they can be. Sure maybe we failed from time to time, we can continue to still strive to be the best men for our families in Jesus name!

Happy Anniversary

Two become One Flesh and whatever God joined together let no one separate. As me and my wife celebrate our Anniversary, I ponder the covenant of marriage God made between man and woman. When you understand the covenant of husband and wife being joined together, you understand the beauty of marriage. Two peoples lives transforming into one life in unity with each other.

You understand that your good times are also good times for your spouse. As well as your bad times are equally shared. Everything you do has a direct impact on your spouse. Therefor as a partner you abandon selfishness and think about the greater good of your marriage.

I’ve been blessed to call Heidi my wife, my best friend , my better half, the mother of my children for over 20 years. I wouldn’t be where I am today without her and its because Two become One Flesh. I couldn’t ask for a better partner from God and I look forward to our future

Sure there will be rough times, there will be trials , but as Two remain One , nothing can separate the covenant of marriage. Happy Anniversary to my beautiful wife Love You with all my heart

Lord Of ALL

But I want you to understand that Christ is the head of every man, and the man is the head of a woman, and God is the head of Christ. 1 Corinthians 11:3

When we look at the world today we see total chaos, why? Well one of the issues is gender confusion. A lot of young people now claim they don’t know if they are a boy or a girl. The breakdown of the traditional home, we see the same genders trying to take on multiple roles. It’s all completely failing, why? Because there is no law or order

Lets take for example your job or school. Is there someone in charge at each of these places, of course there is a boss, manager, supervisor or superintendent. Why are these positions put in place? To keep structure and order. Does it mean these individuals are greater than people who worked underneath them? No, it just means different people have different roles

We are rebellious people by nature and don’t want to be subjected to authority. But in order to be obedient you have to be submissive at some point. Jesus Christ rules over all of us, even those who deny him. Jesus is Lord over us ALL. The irony of it is when you submit to his authority you are actually set free!

For this reason also, God highly exalted Him, and bestowed on Him the name which is above every name, so that at the name of Jesus EVERY KNEE WILL BOW, of those who are in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and that every tongue will confess that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

Many people want Gods love but they don’t want Gods authority. It doesn’t work that way, either Jesus is your Master or you are his enemy. Which is it going to be? Put away your rebellion and submit to Christ which is everything is placed under his feet! Amen!
