Living Water

“Blessed is the man who trusts in the LORD And whose trust is the LORD. “For he will be like a tree planted by the water, That extends its roots by a stream And will not fear when the heat comes; But its leaves will be green, And it will not be anxious in a year of drought Nor cease to yield fruit. Jeremiah 17:7-8

This sounds so simple doesn’t it? Just trust in God, just have faith in Jesus Christ and you will be blessed! However we have trust issues as humans. And the older we get, and the more let down we get by people,we lose that ability to trust. However our Heavenly Father is not human, he wont let you down!

Picture a Tree planted by a stream of water, that Tree will thrive because it has a constant flow of “Living Water” supplying it. That Tree doesn’t have to worry about a drought because the Living Water will continually supply that Tree even when everything else has dried up

He who believes in Me, as the Scripture said, ‘From his innermost being will flow rivers of living water.'” John 7:38

Jesus is that “Living Water” when you put your trust in Jesus you will be blessed. You will never have to be anxious about a drought because you are filled with the Living Water. You might say “Things don’t look good right now”, Have Faith in that stream of water you are planted by will supply all of your needs!

Blessed is the one who trusts in Jesus Christ! The Living Water that wont allow you to thirst again Amen!

King of Kings

Behold, the days are coming,” declares the LORD, “When I will raise up for David a righteous Branch; And He will reign as king and act wisely And do justice and righteousness in the land. Jeremiah 23:5

Here is another Messianic prophecy given by God to Jeremiah.God will raise up a righteous King! This Branch (Messiah) will be from the line of David. How can Jesus be from the Line of David when he is the Son of God?

Joseph also went up from Galilee, from the city of Nazareth,to Judea, to the city of David which is called Bethlehem, because he was of the house and family of David, in order to register along with Mary, who was engaged to him, and was with child. Luke 2:4-5

Joseph was from the Line of David, when the census was ordered, he registered his family including Jesus , as descendants of David.Now we know Joseph was not Jesus biological Father, however he basically“adopted” him legally as his own Son. This technically made Jesus from the Line of David

Also there is a lot of symbolic meaning with the Line of David.  David was the first King that was picked and anointed by God. Saul was Israels first King however God did not pick him, and it ended terribly for Israel and Saul

And on His robe and on His thigh He has a name written, “KING OF KINGS, AND LORD OF LORDS.” Revelation 19:16

Jesus is the King of Kings, the fulfillment of being the righteous Branch of David (King)

In His days Judah will be saved, And Israel will dwell securely; And this is His name by which He will be called, ‘The LORD our righteousness.’Jeremiah 23:6

The title here for Jesus is “ The Lord (Yahweh) our Righteousness” basically meaning of the Messiah (Christ) God becoming Flesh to rule over the Earth! This has been fulfilled and Jesus is returning soon Amen!

Stem of Jesse

Then a shoot will spring from the stem of Jesse, And a branch from his roots will bear fruit.Isaiah 11:1

The Stem of Jesse is the Line of David, Jesus fulfilled this prophecy when Joseph (who is from the Line of David) registered Jesus as his Son. In the City of David (Bethlehem) Jesus came down to Earth to save the world from their sins.

The Branch (Jesus Christ) will bear fruit meaning righteousness. Remember Jesus said we will be known by the fruit we bear(Matthew 7)

The Spirit of the LORD will rest on Him, The spirit of wisdom and understanding, The spirit of counsel and strength, The spirit of knowledge and the fear of the LORD. Isaiah 11:2

Remember when Jesus was baptized in the Jordan River, the Holy Spirit came down like a Dove and baptized him with fire. The Spirit of The Lord (The Holy Spirit) rests on Jesus Christ to heal the sick, make the spiritual blind see, and set the captives free!

And He will delight in the fear of the LORD, And He will not judge by what His eyes see,Nor make a decision by what His ears hear; But with righteousness He will judge the poor, And decide with fairness for the afflicted of the earth; And He will strike the earth with the rod of His mouth, And with the breath of His lips He  will slay the wicked. Isaiah 11:3-4

Jesus the King of Kings and Lord of Lords didn’t come to judge but to save the world from its sins. Jesus first came as the Lamb of God and he will be returning as the Lion of Judah. With the rod of his mouth ( The Word of God) he will slay the wicked! Jesus is the Living Word and the truth shall set you Free! Amen!

Good News

But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid; for behold, I bring you good news of great joy which will be for all the people; for today in the city of David there has been born for you a Savior, who is Christ the Lord. Luke 2:10-11

The Day that Jesus was Born, the Angel said it brought “Good News”. The Biblical meaning of Gospel is “Good News” So essentially the day Christ was born, the gospel was Born also. The Gospel of Christ is Good News for everyone! However often when we hear about the Gospel people react in a negative way or perception

The Angel also said this Good News will bring us all “Great Joy”. Obviously, thing brings Great Joy because Jesus has brought salvation to the world. Jesus has brought us a solution for our sins so we can inherit eternal life.

Some might say I don’t feel this Great Joy , know this the coming of Christ is the fulfillment of Gods promise to bring us salvation. There may be pain in the night but Joy comes in the morning!

“Glory to God in the highest, And on earth peace among men with whom He is pleased.”Luke 2:14

The worship service continued as all the Angels celebrated and glorified there Lord and Savior being born this day! The Angels said “Peace on Earth”! Where is this Peace? When the world is continually at war with each other, how can there be Peace?

Jesus , The Prince of Peace, gives us an inner Peace that the world cant take away. Knowing whatever happens in this world, you are saved, you are set free, you are loved, should give you the greatest inner peace beyond human comprehension.

Don’t be afraid for the Savior has already been born, receive him into your heart today Amen!
