Set Apart

Because it is written, “YOU SHALL BE HOLY, FOR I AM HOLY.” 1 Peter 1:16

The meaning of the word “Holy” in the Bible is “Set Apart”

Often when people hear the word Holy, they believe you are saying to be “righteous” or “holier than thou” but to truly be a Christian you need to be “Set Apart” . We all probably know a lot of Christians, that if they didn’t tell you they were Christian, you probably would never know. This is not good, and its not being holy

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

Don’t follow the ways of this world, renew your mind! This is why God wants us to be “Set Apart”, when you conform to the world , you become corrupted by the world. When you accept immorality that violates the nature of God, you have become corrupted, and are not Holy

Do not think that I came to bring peace on the earth; I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. Matthew 10:34

Jesus brought a sword (The Word of God) to divide the sheep from the goats, to Set Apart the saved from the lost. You should be Set Apart because Christ as Set You Apart by shedding his blood at the cross. You have been Set Apart when you were sealed by the Holy Spirit!

Be Holy because Christ has made you Holy in Jesus Name Amen!

Being set apart from the world for me means if a gun was held to my head would I renounce Christ as Lord and Savior or would I take the bullet? I would take the bullet! I have never felt like I belonged here on earth…this life has never offered me anything except pain and sorrow. When I read in my Bible that this world wasn’t my home,my true citizenship is in heaven I said out loud…BINGO!! This is what being set apart means…to know in your heart of hearts where you truly belong!

    Shalom dear brother!

Amen sister! Growing up I never fit in and still don’t! However having the Truth of God (Christ) sets us free!

I’m willing to lay down my life for my Lord also because he already gave up his life for me!

      Shalom sister!
