I wonder why this command is pointed to those who serve in the night? More temptation to grumble? What do you think?

The priests would take shifts at night to guard the Temple
However it can also be symbolic of us watching for the return of Christ

I saw commentary relating to when the disciples fell asleep in the garden when Jesus was praying….Jesus kept encouraging them to keep awake and pray…much like the priests were continually encouraged to stay awake and protect the temple
Reminds me of us today….we cant fall asleep spiritually because Christ is coming soon!
