Hope in God

Jesus answered, “It was neither that this man sinned, nor his parents; but it was so that the works of God might be displayed in him. John 9:3

The disciples were are under the false impression that if bad things happen to you, you are cursed by God. This is an impression that many people still have today, if your battling an illness or overcoming adversity. Many people blame everything on God, however they fail to understand we live in a fallen world that is plagued with sin and death

Then to Adam He said, “Because you have listened to the voice of your wife, and have eaten from the tree about which I commanded you, saying, ‘You shall not eat from it’; Cursed is the ground because of you; In toil you will eat of it All the days of your life. Genesis 3:17

God said “Cursed is the ground (Earth) because of You (Adam)

The curse of sin and death are upon us all. Its not Gods fault but our fault because of our sinful and disobedient nature. We also have to factor in “Free Will”, God doesn’t force anyone to worship him, therefor you have “Free Will” to do as you please. Because of this “Free Will” many people commit evil and abominable acts. If God intervenes during everything, will we really have Free Will?

The Good News is we have a Savior! God sent his only Begotten Son to take our Curse for us. Jesus displayed that power when he healed the Blind Man, the Glory of God is revealed. Trust in Jesus, and he will deliver you from this curse of sin and death!

Until God reestablishes his Kingdom with the New Heavens and Earth (Revelation 21) , we can expect pain and suffering in this present world. However  “Hope in God” (Psalm 42:11)because of our Lord Jesus Christ Amen!
