Suffering Servant

I gave My back to those who strike Me, And My cheeks to those who pluck out the beard; I did not cover My face from humiliation and spitting. Isaiah 50:6

The prophet Isaiah revealed so many accurate details of our Lord Jesus by the Holy Spirit, these horrifying details about how our Lord would allow himself to become our “Sacrificial Lamb” to pay for the wages of our sins

The suffering servant who was obedient all the way to death! We can’t forget what Jesus has already done for us, the only reason he did it is because he loves us. How can we comprehend such a deep love where someone is willing to take such abuse and punishment? Its hard to fathom however we know how deeply Jesus cares for the salvation of our souls!

For the Lord GOD helps Me, Therefore, I am not disgraced; Therefore, I have set My face like flint, And I know that I will not be ashamed. Isaiah 50:7

Even though Jesus was abused, beaten, and crucified he says “I AM Not Disgraced”! Because Jesus was doing the will of the Father, he could never be disgraced, even on the cross! When we do the will of God we cant be disgraced either! Because as long as your serving God your reward will be in heaven

but emptied Himself, taking the form of a bond-servant, and being made in the likeness of men. Being found in appearance as a man, He humbled Himself by becoming obedient to the point of death, even death on a cross. Philippians 2:7-8

Jesus was obedient even to death on the cross! Our suffering servant who paid the wages for our sins! We should strive to be as humble and obedient as Christ because he loves us Amen!

How I to stay humble in my spirit is to always see what Christ did for me. It wasn’t enough that Jesus was WOUNDED, BRUISED AND BEATEN for my sins He also was STRIPED NAKED as He hung on His Cross for me. Reading in Isaiah “But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities: the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed” (Isaiah 53:5). There I get a clearer picture of the LOVE Jesus and His Father has for me! I am the one who deserves to be punished and there are days when I think of the agony His suffered on my behalf and how I am so unworthy I can’t even raise my head to the heavens. But as difficult as it is,I do, because I realize that if I don’t than I am making God the Father out to be a liar. He says that I am justified, righteous, sanctified, washed and made clean by the shed Blood of Jesus my Lord and Savior! When He looks at me He is looking at His Son Jesus, It is not enough to have head knowledge of what Christ has done for us. We must have a personal relationship with Him and prayerfully upon conversion we are brought into a deeper more meaningful relationship with our Maker. I never want my Lords death to be in vain where I am concerned. Today I know in my heart of hearts that I am the one who put Jesus to death. It was my sin He knew He had to cover in order for me to have this relationship with God. I am forever grateful to You my sweet Jesus,Thank YOU LORD! Amen 🙂

    Sweet Shalom brother!

Well said again sister! You have the Holy Spirit within you speaking Truth!

Correct if we continue to live in sin then The Lord’s death was in vein, we rather love him because he first loved us even though we don’t deserve it

      Shalom sister Amen!

It’s always good to meditate on the amount of love it took for Jehovah God to send his son and for Jesus Christ to be willing to sacrifice his life for us. Romans 5:7,8 says, “For hardly would anyone die for a righteous man; though perhaps for a good man someone may dare to die. But God recommends his own love to us in that, while we were yet sinners, Christ died for us.” This should move us to do our utmost to follow his direction and tell others about him (Matthew 28:19,20).
