We have this hope as an anchor for the soul, firm and secure. It enters the inner sanctuary behind the curtain, Hebrews 6:19

What is the purpose of an anchor? An anchor is designed to connect a vessel to the bed of a body of water to prevent it from drifting away.  Also the anchor helps keep the vessel under control during a storm. This is exactly what Jesus Christ does for us, he is the anchor for our soul when the storms of life come through

No matter who you are, eventually you are going to deal with a trial or tragedy. Without Christ what is your anchor for your soul? What are you going to lean on when the storms come crashing in and destroy everything you had? People often turn to temporary pleasures in this world as an escapre from reality. But the reality is nothing can save you but Jesus Christ

He is the Rock, the foundation that we can build our lives on and never fail. No matter how big of a storm comes through, Christ has already overcome the world. Evil has already been defeated at the cross, this is why we can have the hope of Jesus Christ forever.

Even death was trampled at the feet of Christ, nothing can overcome you. This is why Jesus Christ is the anchor for our souls in everyone who puts their trust in him Amen
