That Defiles You

“But the things that proceed out of the mouth come from the heart, and those defile the man. Matthew 15:18

The religious leaders tried to condemn Jesus for not practicing there rituals, but Jesus teaches us its what comes from your heart and mind that defiles you. We all heard of the term “Garbage in , garbage out”. This is practical for our own lives. When we continiually listen and watch evil things , its plants the seed in our own minds and hearts and grows lawlessness.

Set your mind on the things above, not on the things that are on earth. Colossians 3:2

When we set our minds on holy things, we are planting the see for righteousness. Our goal is to live like Christ. When we follow Jesus we are setting ourselves free from the bondages of this world.

So what thought and words are coming from your heart and mind? Are you defiling yourself with profanity and blasphemy? Or are you speaking words of faith , hope , and love? Its important we watch the words we speak, as they have power.

Remember God breathed life into our bodies,(Genesis 2:7) the breathe we speak is essentially the Spirit of God.  Are you defiling yourself with your words and actions or are you speaking life?

Then when lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and when sin is accomplished, it brings forth death.  James 1:15

Your thoughts and actions gives birth to sin which equals death. Its important we control what we allow to be put into our minds and hearts. Don’t defile yourself with the birth of your sin. Set your mind and heart on God in Jesus name Amen

“But seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and all these things shall be added to you.” Matthew‬ ‭6:33‬ ‭NKJV‬‬
Just thought I’d share the verse because it came to mind when reading because you mentioned setting our minds on holy things. Nice blog post.

Amen, And we all are guilty. Remember that Every Word of The Word Of GOD was BREATHED into the minds of the men God chose to pen His Word. Yes, even Paul who penned; Romans 7:24-25King James Version (KJV)

24 O wretched man that I am! who shall deliver me from the body of this death?

25 I thank God through Jesus Christ our Lord. So then with the mind, I myself serve the law of God; but with the flesh the law of sin.

It is my belief that God breathed those words (see:2 Timothy 3:16-a KJV) into Pauls mind to pin so that all of us who have fled for refuge in Christ Jesus, might know that; There is none that are righteous, no not one. Note: Romans 3:10-18King James Version (KJV)

10 As it is written, There is none righteous, no, not one:

11 There is none that understandeth, there is none that seeketh after God.

12 They are all gone out of the way, they are together become unprofitable; there is none that doeth good, no, not one.

13 Their throat is an open sepulchre; with their tongues they have used deceit; the poison of asps is under their lips:

14 Whose mouth is full of cursing and bitterness:

15 Their feet are swift to shed blood:

16 Destruction and misery are in their ways:

17 And the way of peace have they not known:

18 There is no fear of God before their eyes.

Yes, though we are Saved we are still trapped inside these earthly sinful bodies. Praise God that when a man have been Born Again God then declares us Righteous, even though we continue to fall short of the Righteousness of God. I’m saved and I have the proof, though many time every day I fail to live without sinning, but my PROOF is in that God cannot lie (see: Titus 1:2), and so the promise God give fallen man in Romans 10:9, (THOU SHALT BE SAVED), therein is our assurance that we are SAVED UNTO THE UTTERMOST. Not until we leave these sinful earthly bodies will we fully understand just how much God so loved us. Thank you in the name of Jesus Christ, and please pray for me.
