Walking With Jesus

And it came to pass, that, while they communed together and reasoned, Jesus himself drew near, and went with them. But their eyes were holden that they should not know him. Luke 24:15-16

Jesus walked right along with his disciples and they didn’t even recognize him. How can this be? Could it be that they stopped seeking God and closed their eyes? How many times in our lives do you think Jesus was walking with us also and we didn’t even recognize him?

Then he said unto them, O fools, and slow of heart to believe all that the prophets have spoken: Ought not Christ to have suffered these things, and to enter into his glory? Luke 24:25-26

The disciples felt defeated, after witnessing Jesus crucifixion they doubted he was the Messiah, even after all the miracles and prophecies he showed them. So Jesus had to rebuke them and teach them the scriptures which revealed the Messiah had to suffer and die to pay for our sins. Could you be doubting because you simply don’t understand the scriptures also?

And it came to pass, as he sat at meat with them, he took bread, and blessed it, and brake, and gave to them. And their eyes were opened, and they knew him; and he vanished out of their sight. Luke 24:30-31

The disciples still didn’t recognize Jesus all this time until he blessed and broke the bread, just like he did at the Last Supper. As soon as they realized it was him he vanished, Jesus wanted to give them a clear sign that only they would recognize, is God sending you signs also?

And they said one to another, Did not our heart burn within us, while he talked with us by the way, and while he opened to us the scriptures? Luke 24:32

Even though the disciples didn’t know it was Jesus they felt the Spirit burning in there hearts. Remember you are a temple of God and the Holy Spirit dwells in you. Also be on the lookout for signs and wonders because you never know when Jesus is walking by your side Amen
