While they were there, the time came for the baby to be born, and she gave birth to her firstborn, a son. She wrapped him in cloths and placed him in a manger, because there was no guest room available for them. Luke 2:6-7
During the time of Jesus birth, everything seemed like a great struggle. They had to travel far to go back to Bethlehem to complete a census, when they got to Bethlehem there was nowhere to have baby Jesus, but what they didn’t realize was they were fulfilling Biblical prophesies to show everyone Jesus is the Messiah
Even though Jesus is The King he lowered himself below the angels to be born in a Manger. To show humility and that Jesus is for everyone.
An angel of the Lord appeared to them, and the glory of the Lord shone around them, and they were terrified. But the angel said to them, “Do not be afraid. I bring you good news that will cause great joy for all the people. Luke 2:9-10
Notice the Angels didn’t go to the Kings and Governments to announce the birth of Jesus, they went to the Shepherds. Thought by society to be insignificant, they were the first to know and see The Lord Jesus.
Let’s remember the birth of Jesus is Good News, he came to save the world, he conquered death. Let’s rejoice and give glory to Jesus
Today in the town of David a Savior has been born to you; he is the Messiah, the Lord. This will be a sign to you: You will find a baby wrapped in cloths and lying in a manger.” Luke 2:11-12
The angels confirming Jesus is the Messiah, fulfilling prophecies of being from the line of David to the swaddling cloth. This is your King, Jesus is your Lord and Savior Born to You that you may have eternal life and be forever part of Gods Kingdom in Jesus Name Amen
