Through The Roof

And they come unto him, bringing one sick of the palsy, which was borne of four. And when they could not come nigh unto him for the press, they uncovered the roof where he was: and when they had broken it up, they let down the bed wherein the sick of the palsy lay. Mark 2:3-4

Who do you think Jesus is? These men had faith and believed Jesus was the Messiah and not only carried the physically disabled man many miles but took him up on the roof and lowered him down to Jesus.

There were so many people who came to see Jesus that you couldn’t even get close to the door. But these men were determined to see him because they knew he could heal there friend. What lengths do you go to get close to Jesus?

When Jesus saw their faith, he said unto the sick of the palsy, Son, thy sins be forgiven thee But there were certain of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts, Why doth this man thus speak blasphemies? who can forgive sins but God only? Mark 2:5-7

Even though Jesus performed many miracles in the name of God, many doubted and questioned his authority. Still many today doubt or deny Jesus is the Messiah. But Jesus knew there hearts just like he knows ours. Anyone who acknowledges Jesus before others he will acknowledge to God

Whether is it easier to say to the sick of the palsy, Thy sins be forgiven thee; or to say, Arise, and take up thy bed, and walk But that ye may know that the Son of man hath power on earth to forgive sins, (he saith to the sick of the palsy,) Mark 2:9-10

So Jesus not only forgave the mans sins but healed him instantly to demonstrate he is the Son of God and had the authority to do so. Jesus is the only way to God and the only way to be redeemed. Trust in Jesus just as this man did and you’ll be saved also.

I say unto thee, Arise, and take up thy bed, and go thy way into thine house. And immediately he arose, took up the bed, and went forth before them all; insomuch that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, We never saw it on this fashion. Mark 2:11-12

An instant of Gods mercy and favor can cure a lifetime of struggle. This man never walked his entire life, but instantly Jesus healed him because of his faith.

Do you believe and trust in Jesus to be your Lord and Savior? Are you willing to go the extra mile to seek him? Most importantly do you have faith he will forgive your sins and heal you? Take the journey to Christ just like these men did in Jesus Name Amen

Time Of Travail

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Verily, verily, I say unto you, That ye shall weep and lament, but the world shall rejoice: and ye shall be sorrowful, but your sorrow shall be turned into joy. A woman when she is in travail hath sorrow, because her hour is come: but as soon as she is delivered of the child, she remembereth no more the anguish, for joy that a man is born into the world. John 16:20-21

The world is in a “Time of Travail” As Jesus told us before his return will be like a woman in child birth. We see the signs all around us, the world is like a pressure cooker waiting to explode, nation has risen against nation, natural disasters plaque our planet, the global economy gets worse every day. Get ready everyone the King is coming back soon

And ye now therefore have sorrow: but I will see you again…

Through his Poverty You become Rich

For ye know the grace of our Lord Jesus Christ, that, though he was rich, yet for your sakes he became poor, that ye through his poverty might be rich. 2 Corinthians 8:9

Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords, he has all the power of God. But yet he lowered himself to a poor man, beaten and hated by the world, so he can save the world and give us eternal life.

Many people when they see the words rich and poor, they automatically think of wealth. But what God is telling us is on a higher level, richness is eternal life, poverty is death.  How will money favor you if your dead?

Now therefore perform the doing of it; that as there was a readiness to will, so there may be a performance also out of that which ye have. For if there be first a willing mind, it is accepted according to that a man hath, and not according to that he hath not. 2 Corinthians 8: 11-12

Charity begins with the heart, its not about how much you give but your wiliness to give what you have. I think about the story of the Poor Widows Offering in Mark 12:41-43

Many rich people were putting large amounts in the treasury but Jesus observed a poor widow who only gave 2 coins, but that was all she had. Her gift was greater because she gave from the heart

But by an equality, that now at this time your abundance may be a supply for their want, that their abundance also may be a supply for your want: that there may be equality: 2 Corinthians 8:14

But as a family, as a Church, as neighbors we should help each other out whenever someone is in need. Then when we are in need someone should help us out also. God intended there to be economic equality not Rich and Poor.

As it is written, He that had gathered much had nothing over; and he that had gathered little had no lack. 2 Corinthians 8:15

Paul quoted a command God gave to the Israelites in Exodus 16, when God was supplying them manna in the desert some received more than others. But when they combined all the mana together there was more than enough for everyone.

This is a valuable lesson as God has supplied some of us with more than others to see what we will do with our abundance. The same is with our Lord Jesus who has everything but gave us everything so we can live also.  Remember there is richness thru poverty when you trust God in Jesus name Amen

Consequences of Sin

For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord. Romans 6:23

Many people today are taking sin lightly, they don’t understand not only does sin equal death. But sin also has consequences on you and your family. Yes Jesus died for our sins and he’s willing to forgive them, but you also must strive to live a holy life just like Christ.

Why does God hate sin so much? Because sin equals death. Every sin there is leads to your destruction. Sin comes from Satan and is an act of rebellion against God and his Kingdom.

In the sweat of thy face shalt thou eat bread, till thou return unto the ground; for out of it wast thou taken: for dust thou art, and unto dust shalt thou return. Genesis 3:19

Adam and Eve literally had the perfect life, they were immortal, living in paradise, and everything was provided for them. But they couldn’t resist the temptations of Satan. Even though God warned them it would equal death, they still went ahead with it.

We all have free will, so they had a right to choose whatever they wanted. But there are consequences for there sin and it equaled death. They once had mortality now they will return to dust just as God commanded.

Since we all are descendants of Adam and Eve, we all have inherited this curse of death. You see Adam and Eve’s sin not only effected there life but impacted humanity. This is why we all need Jesus to save us, he is the only way.

Wherefore she said unto Abraham, Cast out this bondwoman and her son: for the son of this bondwoman shall not be heir with my son, even with Isaac. Genesis 21:10

Another example is Abraham, he got tired of waiting for God to deliver him his promised son, so he had a child with his servant. This sin not only brought great distress among there family, but he also disobeyed God.

God still delivered his promise and eventually Sarah and Abraham had the promised son of Isaac. But this only caused greater distress among the household and eventually Ishmael and his mother had to leave.

Many believe the prophet Muhammad is a descendant of Ishmael which obviously originated the Islam religion. If this is true, Abraham’s sin of having adultery consequently has impacted the entire world especially his nation of Israel and all Jews and Christians.

There is a reason God forbids sin, and there is a reason why God takes it so seriously. All your sins have consequences that will impact not only you but your family. Jesus is the only one who has ever walked the Earth and never sinned, follow Jesus and break the curse of sin Amen
