What is Truth?

“You are a king, then!” said Pilate. Jesus answered, “You say that I am a king. In fact, the reason I was born and came into the world is to testify to the truth. Everyone on the side of truth listens to me.” “What is truth?” retorted Pilate. With this he went out again to the Jews gathered there and said, “I find no basis for a charge against him. John 18:37-38

What is Truth? Asked Pilate, a simple but powerful question. Pilate knew deep down inside that Jesus was the Messiah, but choose to follow the world in fear of being hated. Can anyone else relate to this?

Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me. John 14:6

But since the question has been asked, let’s examine What is truth? Jesus clearly told us he is the truth and everyone who is truthful follows him. So if Jesus is the Truth the World is a lie.

Do not conform to the pattern of this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind. Then you will be able to test and approve what God’s will is–his good, pleasing and perfect will. Romans 12:2

Think about the things the World wants you to believe, Money will buy Happiness? We evolved from monkeys? The Heavens and The Earth randomly created itself? There is no God, therefor no consequences or purpose for your life? This is the great deception of the World.

Then you will know the truth, and the truth will set you free.” John 8:32

The truth is Jesus Christ and he shall set you free. Free from the slavery of debt, depression, addictions, and loneliness.  You are made in the image of God and you do have a purpose.

What is Truth? It’s you have been redeemed; you are a citizen of Heaven, paid for by the blood of Jesus Christ. Don’t believe the Lies of the World, God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son in Jesus Name Amen

Great Post. Can I make on comment which I hope you will take as positive to make your Blogs sharper. I would have liked you to bring more clarification on the difference between “The Truth, who is Jesus Christ” and the truth (small t), and which one was Jesus referring to when he said in your quoted Scripture, “Everyone on the side of truth….”.
By the way, can I share with you another Blog address and the Post I posted, called, “How to listen to God’s voice” @ how2experiencegod.wordpress.com
