We Rise Again

For though the righteous fall seven times, they rise again, Proverbs 24:1

Somedays it’s hard to be the light of the world when the world keeps blowing your light out

How deep are your roots of faith? This will only be answered when you endure the storms of life

On days like this it feels like God is a million miles away we know he is with us but can’t feel him

I reflect on sad Psalms from David like Psalms 88:13 3But I, O LORD, have cried out to You for help, And in the morning my prayer comes before You. 14O LORD, why do You reject my soul? Why do You hide Your face from me?…

But I take comfort in knowing God never forsaken David and always delivered him from his distress.

Or I reflect on the  book of Job where Satan took everything from Job “Therefore I will not keep silent; I will speak out in the anguish of my spirit, I will complain in the bitterness of my soul.

But again I take comfort in knowing even though Job lost everything God repayed him twice for what he had and redeemed him.

Someday are faith is going to be tested, how deep really are your roots? Because one day a hurricane of life will come through and uproot the shallow so be prepared.

But today is a new day and I declare  “This is the day the Lord has made and I will be glad and rejoice in it.

As it says in Psalms There maybe pain in the night but joy comes in the morning.

And most importantly I always remember the cross, the sacrifice Jesus made for us to redeem us for our sins. Always remember the covenant he made with us and the hope it brings.

Today we rise again in knowing our God will endure forever and won’t forsake us

I pray that God gives us the strength and peace to endure thru the storms of life and we hold on to his covenant he made with us.  Amen
