Work in Progress

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus. Philippians 1:6
When you tell people your a Christian you become unfairly judged as people expect you to be perfect or your a hypocrite
But as it says in Romans 3:23 “For we all have sinned and fall short of the Glory of God”    Jesus was the only perfect human to ever walk the Earth
The whole reason Jesus came and sacrificed himself for our sins was because we have been incapable of remaining holy; his blood redeems us
Now does that make us excusable for being sinful? Of course not as it says in Samuel 16:7 God judges from the heart”
Samuel 16:7 “But the LORD said to Samuel, “Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The LORD…

In response to the woes of this world

Jesus first loved us's avatarJesus first loved us

  • We as Christians must pray for the persecuted. I am heart broken by all that is going on.We have been warned in Ephesians 6:12 kjv: for we wrestle not against flesh and blood, but against principalities, against powers, against the rulers of this world, against wickedness in high places…. Jesus said, These things I have spoken to you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation, but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world. John 16:33 kjv …. We can find hope that the sorrows of this world are the birthing pains of our Lord’s return. Matthew 24:4-8. But we are told….. to be strong in the Lord, and in power of His might, put on the whole armour of God, that ye may be able to stand against the wile of the devil.Ephesians 6:10-11 kjv ….With all that is happening we…

Love is Sacrifice

Happy Valentines Day

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Husbands, love your wives, even as Christ also loved the church, and gave himself for it; Ephesians 5:25
What does love mean to you? Have you ever been in love or in love now? Most people would say yes, but do you really know what love is? Do you love as Jesus loves us?
Jesus loved us unconditionally; he sacrificed himself to save us not knowing if we would even acknowledge him. This is true love to give of yourself without expecting anything in return.
Love is probably one of the most overused words in our society; people will say this on a daily basis but don’t even know what love entails.
I would bet most of us in this world love conditionally. When things are going good everyone is happy, but as soon as one partner has to sacrifice or give more than the other, then most people break…

Build on the Rock

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Therefore everyone who hears these words of Mine and acts on them, may be compared to a wise man who built his house on the rock. 25“And the rain fell, and the floods came, and the winds blew and slammed against that house; and yet it did not fall, for it had been founded on the rock.… Matthew 7:24,25
What foundation have you built your house on? When the storms of life come in will you stay in faith or do you fall like a dead tree?
It’s easy to be happy, hopeful, and enthusiastic when times are good, but the real test of our character is how we act when times are bad.
Many people forget or never take the time to thank God for anything they are grateful for but as soon as things go wrong they start blaming him. Why do we only remember God during the bad times?

Divided We Fall

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

“Every kingdom divided against itself will be ruined, and every city or household divided against itself will not stand. Matthew 12:25

Division is everywhere, It’s believed there are over 41,000 different denominations in Christianity. Everyone claims to have a different interpretation on the same scriptures worshiping the same God
Even though these denominations all follow Jesus some of them are so bitter over there different ideals they probably wouldn’t even have lunch together.
What happened? Satan has divided the Christian churches making them weaker against him. Pride, Greed, Ignorance, ect. are all weapons he used against the Churches.
America has also become a divided nation, if you need an example of that just look at your own neighborhood your living in.
A generation ago everyone used to know everyone; neighbors used to help each other out, there kids used to play with each other.
Now nobody knows each other and everyone lives in…

Your Time is Now

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

Then Jesus said unto them, My time is not yet come: but your time is alway ready. John 7:6
Many times in life where always looking for a sign or reassurance to begin our destiny that God has called us to do but as Jesus told his disciples “The time is Now”
Often we worry about tomorrow or obstacles that we may face but as it says in Matthew 6:24 “Therefore do not worry about tomorrow, for tomorrow will worry about itself. Each day has enough trouble of its own.”
Every day is its own entity, focus on your goals for today and deal with tomorrow as it comes. Often we turn a mole hill into a mountain by over thinking about tomorrow.
So what dream did God plant in your heart? We are all not the same, God has blessed us each with different talents and abilities as it…

Man of God

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

But you, Man of God, flee from all this, and pursue righteousness, godliness, faith, love, endurance and gentleness. 1 Timothy 6:11

Recently I just finished reading the book “Man of God” by Dr. Charles Stanley. It’s a very inspirational book and I highly recommend it to anyone. It got me to reflect on myself and journey as a “Man of God”

What does it really mean or require to be a “Man of God”? I believe the qualities you would observe are integrity, accountability, compassion, courage, and humility.

The integrity of the upright shall guide them: but the perverseness of transgressors shall destroy them. Proverbs 11:3. To have integrity means to be blameless. Honest, and having strong morals. It’s important that your family and others can trust and respect you. Unless you have integrity this can’t be accomplished.

“So then, each of us will give an account of…

Citizens of Heaven

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

But our citizenship is in heaven. And we eagerly await a Savior from there, the Lord Jesus Christ, Philippians 3:20

Do you ever feel out of place in this world? Well that’s because you are, your true home is in heaven.    The afterlife is a subject most of us don’t want to talk or think about; but it’s reality. The good news is that death is not the end for us thru Jesus Christ.

As Jesus promised in this scripture he has already prepared a place for us in (John 14:1-3 “”Do not let your heart be troubled; believe in God, believe also in Me. 2“In My Father’s house are many rooms; if it were not so, I would have told you; for I go to prepare a place for you. 3“If I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and…

Faith Walkers

For we live by faith, not by sight. 2 Corinthians 5:7

We live in a world today that wants instant results; with the emergence of technology everything is instant. Everyone is at our fingertips now with the Internet and mobile devices.

However faith works totally different, for thru faith we learn patience, discipline, and perseverance. We learn to cherish the blessings we receive and acknowledge the victories God has won for us.

Even though our blessings will be great we will be put thru a test to get them. Stay in faith and it will see you thru it.

Abraham was promised to be the Father of many nations; his seed will cover the Earth like sand. However Abraham was almost 100 years old till that blessing came to pass.

We also live in a world where seeing is believing. The world says how can you believe in an invisible God? Do you believe in love? Can you see it? Do you believe in the wind? Can you see it?

Here’s what the scripture says: Romans 1:20 For the invisible things of him from the creation of the world are clearly seen, being understood by the things that are made, even his eternal power and Godhead; so that they are without excuse:

As it says in the scripture there is no excuse not to believe in God; We are made in the image of God and Jesus became God in the flesh. Many signs have been given to us but few want to receive them.

Faith is what builds us a strong relationship with God filled with trust and admiration of his Glory; if there never was a struggle how can faith be tested then?

As Jesus said in John 20:29 “Because you have seen me, you have believed; blessed are those who have not seen and yet have believed.”

I pray everyone takes a leap of faith and puts all there trust in God and he will make there paths straight Amen
