Our House

But as for me and my household, we will serve the LORD.” Joshua 24:15

Who does your household worship? What beliefs or values does your family live by? Today’s world is total chaos; we live in a society where anything goes. And with the “political correctness” of today our faith and beliefs are being challenged and censored daily. However what we can control is our own homes, we need to be the spiritual leaders our children need, teach them so they will not depart from it. (Proverbs 22:6)

We must remember that Jesus is the cornerstone (Acts 4:11) and we must build our house on The Rock (Matthew 7:24)and not by the world . Don’t conform to the ways of the world (Romans 12:2)but live by the ways of God. The righteous have an everlasting foundation (Proverbs 10:25) that foundation is Jesus Christ (1 Corinthians 3:11)

When we don’t build our house on God, we allow our homes to be invaded with the evils and snares of this world. Remember God is our fortress and shield, (Psalm 18:2) blesses your family by serving The Lord. Don’t allow your family to become more victims of this world and torn apart by its ways. Build your house on The Rock of salvation in Jesus Name Amen

House built by God

For every house is builded by some man; but he that built all things is God. Hebrews 3:4

Many people believe you can build a nice big house, fill it with some stuff, have a few children, and presto you have a family.  But without love there is no family, a house doesn’t make a home.

To have a happy family we need Jesus to be the center of it all. You can live in a mansion but without love it’ as pleasant as living in a ditch. God is love, and the only way to God is thru Jesus Christ. When we fill our hearts with Christ we fill our homes with love.

(1 John 4:7) “Beloved, let us love one another: for love is of God; and every one that loveth is born of God, and knoweth God.”

God is Love, until we know God thru Jesus we don’t truly know love. It is important for us to be the Godhead of our families and lead them to a happy and fulfilling life.  Most parents nowadays try to fill there children’s void with material items which will never bring fulfilment or purpose.

Possessions in the world are temporary and fade like the grass, but the Love of God lasts forever. It will encourage and empower them to live a meaningful life.

(Matthew 7:24) “Therefore whosoever heareth these sayings of mine, and doeth them, I will liken him unto a wise man, which built his house upon a rock:”

Build your house upon the Rock, meaning build your home on the Word of God. When you build a solid foundation for your family you will then be able to endure hardships and troubles when they arise.

Every family is going to have there challenges and problems, but when you’re the Godhead of your family and built your home on “The Rock” you will prevail. Many problems in this world are caused from within the home. We need to get back to God’s original plan of building our house on “The Rock”

(Proverbs 14:1) “The wise woman builds her house, but with her own hands the foolish one tears hers down.”

Both parents play a key role in the success of the home, parents need to be a team. Most importantly they both need to be following God. If one parent is leading one way and the other parent is leading the other way then you have division. We know what Jesus said about division, (Matthew 12:25) Every house divided against itself will not stand”

It’s important as parents and Godheads that we are united, and don’t foolishly tear down on own home. Make Jesus the center of your home and your home shall stand on “The Rock’ with peace and love in Jesus name Amen
