For this reason God gave them over to degrading passions; for their women exchanged the natural function for that which is unnatural, and in the same way also the men abandoned the natural function of the woman and burned in their desire toward one another, men with men committing indecent acts and receiving in their own persons the due penalty of their error. Romans 1: 26-27
Is Homosexuality natural? Homosexuality has become a hot topic in the Christian church. Pauls teaching in Romans is pretty clear that it is unnatural, however there is a movement trying to change this doctrine as saying “Homosexuality is natural, therefor the above scriptures don’t apply to them. My question would be if Homosexuality was natural, why can’t they reproduce naturally?
So what does God think?
‘You shall not lie with a male as one lies with a female; it is an abomination. Leviticus 18:22
God called Homosexuality an abomination. The original Hebrew word for “Abomination” is “toe-bah” meaning “detestable” , “morally disgusting” “loathsome” The abomination that God feels towards “Homosexuality” is the same he feels towards “Idolatry” , it’s the highest
So what does Jesus think?
“If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love; just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love. John 15:10
Jesus kept all of Gods commandments, as we know he was sinless and the pure “Lamb of God” . Remember any sex outside of the covenant of marriage is adultery (Matthew 5). Jesus taught on the covenant of marriage between a man and woman (Mark 10)
Is there still hope for Homosexuals? Yes , we are all sinners and falling short of the glory of God, however we need to repent. The word Repent means to “changes ones mind” “become transformed”
From that time Jesus began to preach and say, “Repent, for the kingdom of heaven is at hand.” Matthew 4:17
If you deliberately continue to sin, without remorse or change, then you haven’t truly repented. Remember with God all things are possible, call upon Jesus and you can become transformed Amen
