Free Indeed

So if the Son sets you free, you will be free indeed. John 8:36

Are you truly free? Many people will answer yes because they live in a free country. However, this freedom cannot free you from the imprisonment of ourselves. Many are prisoners to their thoughts, worries, guilt, and addictions. However, there is true freedom in Jesus Christ (Galatians 5:1)

At the cross Jesus released the chains of everything that binds us, addictions, anxiety, anger, fear, hatred (Psalm 107:14) Jesus is the Truth, Life, and Way (John 14:6) and when you know the truth it shall set you free (John 8:32) Jesus bore all your sins and transgressions that imprisoned you and put them on his shoulders (Isaiah 53:4-5) Cast all your cares on him (1 Peter 5:7) and you will experience true freedom in Christ

Repent for the Kingdom of God is at hand (Matthew 3:2) This is the key that will unlock your prison cell, without repentance there can be no salvation. If your tired of living as a prisoner to the traps that Satan has set for you (2 Timothy 2:26) then come to the cross, let your old self die and your new self (Ephesians 4:24) be resurrected with Christ (Romans 6:4) the Son has set you free in Jesus Name Amen

Are You Prepared?

But in your hearts revere Christ as Lord. Always be prepared to give an answer to everyone who asks you to give the reason for the hope that you have. But do this with gentleness and respect, 1 Peter 3:15

Are you prepared to tell someone about Christ? If someone asked you a Biblical question, can you answer it? One of the responsibilities of beings a Christian is to know the Word of God, this can only be done through reading the Bible, prayer, and the Holy Spirit.

When going to Church or listening to other preach, how do you know its sound doctrine? (Titus 2:1) If you don’t know the True Gospel of Jesus Christ you can easily be deceived by False Prophets and False religions, who twist scriptures to fit their manmade agendas (Matthew 24:23)

What if somebody asked you a question about the Bible, can you answer it honestly? Jesus commanded us to preach the gospel to everyone (Mark 16:15) How can you preach the gospel if you don’t even know if yourself? What if you give people false information leading them astray?

Jesus taught us the Word of God is the rock we stand on during the storms of life (Matthew 7:24-27) But without the solid foundation of God’s Word rooted in you, there can be nothing to stand on. When storms arise, many will panic, but knowing Gods promises and truth, we have the peace and confidence that God is our salvation

So what should we do? Devote yourself to reading Gods Word (1 Timothy 4:13) Pray without ceasing (1 Thessalonians 5:17) and ask for the Holy Spirit for guidance (1 Corinthians 12:7-11) For we all know the Bible is God breathed and useful for teaching, rebuking, correcting, and training (2 Timothy 3:16) in Jesus Name Amen

Weeds

But while everyone was sleeping, his enemy came and sowed weeds among the wheat, and went away. Matthew 13:25

Are there weeds in your life? No matter where you go in life you’re going to come across some weeds. The reason is Satan wants to distract you, he wants to keep you off your path to victory and righteousness.  And although we may not be able to control the weeds, we can control how we react to the weeds. You might say why don’t God just remove the weeds? Jesus explains this , since the weeds are mixed in with the wheat, God can’t just bring judgement on the bad people or good people would be harmed also (Matthew 13:29)

So it’s important to remember to be alert and sober for Satan is looking to devour us like a Lion (1 Peter 5:8) Be aware of the “weeds” that surround you, as Satan sets traps all around you (2 Timothy 2:26) Remember the “weeds” are not from God as he does not tempt us beyond our control (James 1:13) and everything that is good is from God (James 1:17)

But remain patient for one day the Harvest will come, and God will remove the “weeds” and they will be thrown into the fire (Matthew 13:30) For Jesus will send out his angels and they will weed out of his kingdom everything that causes sin and all who does evil (Matthew 13:41) For the Harvest is plentiful but the workers are few (Matthew 9:37) in Jesus Name Amen

Master of Your Mind

Then, after desire has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, gives birth to death. James 1:15

Where does sin begin? Are you in control of your mind? One thing Jesus tried to teach us is nothing outside that defiles us but what comes out of our heart and mind that defiles us (Mark 7:15) Sin takes root in your mind and heart, and when you let it manifest and fantasize about it, it eventually becomes reality, which ultimately leads to death, as we know the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23)

So knowing this its important we refrain from evil influences such as pornography, watching violence and hatred on TV and movies, listening to hateful and evil messages in music. You are what you think (Proverbs 4:23) When you subject yourself to evil thoughts and imaginations, it becomes your reality. This is why we are not to conform to the ways of the world but renew your mind in Christ (Romans 12:2)

Jesus said anyone who even looks at a woman lustfully has already committed adultery (Matthew 5:28) Why? Because of the same concept, your imagination plants the seed for sin. We must learn to get control of our minds and hearts. Guard your heart for everything you do flows from it (Proverbs 4:23) Meaning if there is sin in your heart there will be sin in your life.

And the peace of God, which transcends all understanding, will guard your hearts and your minds in Christ Jesus. (Philippians 4:7) If you want the salivation and peace of God, set your minds on things above and not earthly things (Colossians 3:2) in Jesus Name Amen

Faith, Hope, and Love

And now these three remain: faith, hope and love. But the greatest of these is love. 1 Corinthians 13:13

Our Lord Jesus gives us many things, three of these things are faith, hope, and love. These three gifts can be anchors when we are caught in the storm. There are many things that people can take away from you, but they cant take your faith, hope and love when your rooted into the word of God

Faith- complete trust or confidence in someone or something

Do you have faith? Can you truly trust someone with your heart? God demonstrated to us that we can have complete faith and trust in him, through the sacrifice of Jesus Christ (Romans 5:8) Even though we were still sinners God not only forgave us but sent his only begotten Son to give us eternal life (John 3:16)

Hope- a feeling of expectation and desire for a certain something to happen

Do you have any hope? When we put our hope in God, it’s not an empty hope but an expected hope because God never breaks his promises (Numbers 23:19) When God makes a covenant its forever, because God does not change (Malachi 3:6)

(Agape) Love- selfless, sacrificial, and unconditional love

When we think of love, we don’t normally think as deeply as sacrificial. But this is the love God demonstrated us from the cross. God so loved the world that he gave his only begotten Son (John 3:16) How could our Creator show us deeper love than this?

So be strong in The Lord knowing that you have the faith, hope, and love of your Heavenly Father that no one can take away from you in Jesus Name Amen

Love Endures Forever

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalm 100:5

Do you feel like God has forgotten about you? Or do you feel that you screwed up your life so bad, God could never redeem you again? Take hope in the promise of God, that his love endures forever. We must remember that every day is a new day, Gods love is new every morning and his compassion never fails (Lamentations 3:23)

We must also remember that even though we were sinners, God still demonstrated his love for us by Christ dying for us (Romans 5:8) See God knows the beginning and the end (Isaiah 46:10) You may have fallen down but God knows you’re going to get back up and be victorious through him (1 Corinthians 15:57)

Remember Jesus came looking for his lost sheep (Luke 15:4) If your feeling lost today, know this that God is looking for you, he waiting to reconnect with you to bring you back home to your promise land Jesus didn’t come here to call the righteous but came here to call the sinners back to repentance (Luke 5:32)

The power of the blood of Christ, can break every chain and cleanse us from our sins ( 1 John 1:7) Because Jesus has overcame the world we can overcome also (John 16:33) So praise our Lord Jesus Christ and give thanks to God our Father for his love and mercy truly endures forever Amen

God Sent?

I have not sent these prophets, yet they ran: I have not spoken to them, yet they prophesied. Jeremiah 23:21

Are you following a false prophet or religion? Many people believe just because someone mentions God or the name of Jesus that they are trustworthy, but this not the case. For Jesus warned us there would be many false prophets that will deceive many (Matthew 24:24)

So how do you know who is true? God told us to test the spirits (1 John 4:1) Don’t believe every spirit because many false prophets have gone into the world. So how do we test a False Prophet? Simple does their doctrine or lifestyle match what God commanded in The Bible? For you will know a False Prophet by their fruits (Matthew 7:16)

Also just because someone quotes scriptures, doesn’t mean they are using them in context. Remember Satan used scriptures in the Bible to try and deceive Jesus (Matthew 4) But because Jesus knows the Truth, he was able to easily rebuke Satan’s claims. Do you know the Bible well enough to spot a False Prophet?

Remember the ultimate goal of a False Prophet is to distract you from Gods real plan, which is salvation through Jesus Christ. When you put yourself, money, and objects above God, remember Jesus taught nobody can serve two masters. You can’t serve God and Money (Matthew 6:24) which is why most religions and churches are corrupted.

So what is the Truth? Jesus is The Truth , The Life, and The Way nobody get to God except through him (John 14:6) If you want to follow truth , follow Jesus, and don’t follow manmade doctrines (Acts 5:29) Amen

Our Fathers House

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me. John 14:1

At some point in all of our lives, regardless of what your faith or beliefs are, you will have to face our enemy death. Many times people don’t even think about God or the afterlife until a death occurs to someone close to them. But Jesus actually taught us about death and what to expect, right before he was going to be crucified for our sins

Jesus gives us the hope and reassurance by starting out “Don’t let your hearts be troubled” he knows the pain of death, as Jesus wept during the death of his friend Lazurus. But Jesus is telling us were going to be ok, if we believe in Christ as our Lord and Savior , we are saved through him

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2

Jesus goes on to describe Heaven, in Gods house (Heaven) there are many room, which means God has prepared a place for us with him. As we know Jesus is living Word of God, the Truth, since he told us this we should expect this after death

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:3

Next Jesus reveals not only did God prepare a place for us but Jesus himself will come back for us and take us to be with him. Isn’t that a comfort to know when we crossover to the other side our Lord will come get us and we won’t be alone

You know the way to the place where I am going.” John 14:4

Jesus ends with a strong statement, You know the way to the place (Heaven)where I am going” Many will try to complicate death but its simple. When you give yourself to Christ you belong to God. You are going to be with him in his Kingdom forever. Take comfort in these words and promises that our Messiah delivered to us in Jesus Name Amen

Fear No Evil

Even though I walk through the darkest valley, I will fear no evil, for you are with me; your rod and your staff, they comfort me. Psalm 23:4

Are you walking through a dark valley right now in your life? Are you fearful or anxious about your future? We don’t have to be because God told us he would never leave or forsake us (Deuteronomy 31:6) Because God has not given us a Spirit of fear but one of power, love, and a sound mind (2 Timothy 1:7) So whatever struggle you are facing against, say I will Fear No Evil, because God is with you. And if God be for us who can be against us? (Romans 8:31)

You may say then, how can God be with me? Why does he feel so far away? But Jesus taught us that God would send a Comforter and he will stay with you forever (John 14:16) That comforter is the Holy Spirit, the power of the living God, the same power that rose Christ from the dead is living inside you (Romans 8:11)

There will be trials and tribulations, however God blesses those who perseveres under trial, having stood the test, that person will receive the Crown of Life (James 1:12)  So don’t walk through your dark valleys defeated, remember God has commanded us to Be Strong and Courageous for God will be with us wherever we go (Joshua 1:9) in Jesus Name Amen

Nothing Can Separate Us

For I am persuaded, that neither death, nor life, nor angels, nor principalities, nor powers, nor things present, nor things to come, Nor height, nor depth, nor any other creature, shall be able to separate us from the love of God, which is in Christ Jesus our Lord.  Romans 8:38-39

Is there anything that can separate you from God? For God has chosen us to be his children (John 15:16), and even when we were still sinners, Christ died for us (Romans 5:8) and he loved us enough to sacrifice his only begotten Son (John 3:16)

So even though we didn’t deserve his grace and mercy, God gave it to us anyway, why because he loves us. So what could separate us from our Heavenly Father? Sin (Isaiah 59:2) Sin is a rebellion against God (1 John 3:4) So when we knowingly and continually sin,  we are declaring war on God

However, because God loves us, he gave us the grace and mercy through the blood of Jesus Christ to forgive us of our sins. (John 3:16) The blood of the Lamb took our transgressions and made us white as snow. (Isaiah 1:18)

Satan will continually try to separate you from God, through his traps of sin. (2 Timothy 2:26) However if we fix our eyes and mind on Christ (Hebrews 12:2), we can avoid his traps through Christ who gives us strength.  (Philippians 4:13)

Because the blood of Jesus Christ is more powerful than anything in the world (1 Peter 1:19), and has overcome the world,(John 16:33) we can’t be separated because of the power of Jesus Christ Amen
