Society Needs The Church

And I say also unto thee, That thou art Peter, and upon this rock I will build my church; and the gates of hell shall not prevail against it.. Matthew 16:18

The picture above is of New York City during Easter time in 1956, notice the change in culture of America. Only a few decades ago, many families based their faith and morals around Jesus Christ. Today sadly if anyone tried to put up a cross in a public building they would be sued immediately. So what happened? How did our society go to such extremes? The answer is The Church

As Christians we have unrealistic expectations of The Church. We expect The Church to be perfect, to be fun, to be catering to our needs. However this is not what “The Church” was designed for in the first place,  these unrealistic expectations have caused many to turn their back on “The Church” and cause a major backslide in society.  Unfavorable images from the media have also caused many to have a negative opinion on “The Church”

I am guilty of this myself, we have these images or ideas of how we believe the perfect Church should be and strive to seek that. However we fail to understand “The Church” in Greek is “Ekklisia” which simply means “assembly of people”. The Church is simply a group of people coming together to worship Jesus Christ, to believe that any Church would be perfect or not have issues, is nonsense

Years ago, The Church was the foundation of society, just as Jesus instructed it to be. Fast forward today “The Church” has become the scapegoat for society’s problems and has become abandoned. Turning on the news today has become a scary routine, the evil among this world has spread at epic proportions. It’s time for all of us Christians, to recommit ourselves to “The Church”, and build upon the rock foundation for our children and grandchildren in Jesus Name Amen!

Not Of This World

Do not love the world nor the things in the world. If anyone loves the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

Do you ever feel out of place in this world? Feel like you just don’t fit in? This isn’t a bad thing, as anyone who loves this world doesn’t love God. What does this mean exactly? Does this mean we shouldn’t care about the planet? No this is speaking symbolically of the things or lust of this world. You look at our culture, the music and movies, it’s a filled with immorality. The world lives for the flesh and the spirit

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh and the lust of the eyes and the boastful pride of life, is not from the Father, but is from the world. 1 John 2:16

Pride and lust don’t come from God, they come from Satan. They are used as traps to enslave us in sin and death. Fix your eyes on Jesus and not on the things of this world. For the things of this world are temporary, but the kingdom of God is eternal

And do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, so that you may prove what the will of God is, that which is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

So what should we do as Christians? Should we just live in a cave, separated totally from society? Jesus has called us to be the light and salt of the world, how can we do this if we don’t associate with the world? Be a good example for people, show them the resurrection power of Christ living through you! Be a testimony! But dont conform to the evil ways of this world, be transformed in Jesus Name Amen!

Rebuke Evil

Just then there was a man in their synagogue with an unclean spirit; and he cried out,saying, “What business do we have with each other, Jesus of Nazareth? Have You come to destroy us? I know who You are– the Holy One of God!” Mark 1:23-24

Jesus entered the synagogue (Jewish place of worship) and there was a man possessed with a demons. Make note of this, we don’t usually think of demons being active in holy places such as churches, however as we see, demons are everywhere!

However the demons immediately recognize who Jesus is, “The Holy One of God” and they trembled as they said “Have you come to destroy us?” Even these demons recognizes the power and position of our Lord Jesus Christ, do you understand who Jesus is?

And Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be quiet, and come out of him!”  Throwing him into convulsions, the unclean spirit cried out with a loud voice and came out of him. Mark 1:25-26

Jesus had no fear of these demons or their evil and rebuked them immediately. And at his command they were cast out, understand the power that we poses through Jesus Christ. As you walk through the valley of death, we can Fear No Evil (Psalm 23)because we are victorious through Jesus Christ!

Whatever evil Satan and his demons are tormenting you with today, don’t fear them, REBUKE them in the name of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ Amen!

The AntiChrist

Let no man deceive you by any means: for that day shall not come, except there come a falling away first, and that man of sin be revealed, the son of perdition; 2 Thessalonians 2:3

Satan is called the great deceiver and he will deceive the entire world with one man, the Anti Christ, know who you are following, know the truth which is only found in the Word of God

His intentions will appear to be good but his purpose  is for the destruction of humanity, to remove God from the world and take as many souls to hell with him.

Who opposeth and exalteth himself above all that is called God, or that is worshipped; so that he as God sitteth in the temple of God, shewing himself that he is God. 2 Thessalonians 2:4

The Anti Christ will eventually rise up and convince others that he is a God, he will perform great miracles and wonders, but they will be done in the name of Satan and not God. He will deceive entire world into worshipping him and his false one world religion.

For the mystery of iniquity doth already work: only he who now letteth will let, until he be taken out of the way. 2 Thessalonians 2:7

The war between good and evil has been ongoing since the fall of Adam. But once the followers of Jesus Christ are raptured from the Earth, hell will be unleashed upon the Earth.

There will be no more righteous Christians in this world who continually battle Satan and his demons. All that will be left are the lawless ones and those who rejected Jesus as there Lord and Savior.

And then shall that Wicked be revealed, whom the Lord shall consume with the spirit of his mouth, and shall destroy with the brightness of his coming: 2 Thessalonians 2:8

And then the day will come when Jesus returns with his army of Angels and destroys Satan and his followers and throws them in the pit of hell.

That they all might be damned who believed not the truth, but had pleasure in unrighteousness.2 Thessalonians 2:12

It’s very simple your either following Jesus or your following Satan, there is no other way. Those who follow the world and The Anti Christ will be cast into the lake of fire.

Are you ready for the return of the King of Kings, Lord Jesus Christ? Have you accepted him as your Lord and Savior? Time is running out, the war is coming to an end and we have eternal victory in Jesus Name Amen
