Salvation belongeth unto the Lord : thy blessing is upon thy people. Selah.

For as the earth bringeth forth her bud, and as the garden causeth the things that are sown in it to spring forth; so the Lord GOD will cause righteousness and praise to spring forth before all the nations. Isaiah 61:11
Lets think about and ponder this scripture. For just as the Earth grows plants and crops and brings forth life, God will also bring forth righteousness to the entire world! When I think about this scripture, I think about the birth of our Lord Jesus Christ!
Think about how a plant grows , from a seed , into the ground then springs forth into life with light and water. Jesus is referred to as “The Seed” (Genesis 3:15), think about that God sent his Son to be planted here to Spring everlasting life
When we think of his death, being buried into the ground and then after 3 days being risen back to life. Just as if you were planting a flower and it blooms forever. Our Lord did this for us so they we may inherit eternal life
I think about the line from the famous Christmas hymn Joy To World, “Let Earth Receive Her King” As the scripture says “The Earth brings forth Her bud” Did you receive Jesus? Is he planted into your heart? Did you bury your old sinful self? Did you resurrect your new self in Christ? I think of another hymn “For the beauty of The Earth”
The beauty of Christ coming down to Earth to plant everlasting hope in our souls! Amen!
And He who sits on the throne said, “Behold, I am making all things new.” And He said, “Write, for these words are faithful and true.” Revelation 21:5
As we head into the New Year, people are always looking to make themselves new again. People are looking to lose weight, or go back to school, or get a new job, the New Years is always about starting New again.
The Bible is really about making all things New again also!
Jesus says in Revelation Hes Making ALL THINGS NEW. Not just some things or some people, hes making ALL THINGS NEW. Jesus talked about making a New Heavens and Earth, eliminating pain, suffering, and death. And most importantly Jesus talked about throughout the gospels about Making Us New!
A lot of people stress out about the conditions of our planet, and about endangered species, people stress out about the glaciers are melting, guess what “Its going to be all OK”, God has got this, hes in complete control and hes going to make our Earth New again!
People are stressed out about there health, people are getting procedures and makeup to make themselves look younger, people are continually trying to restore their youth. Guess what, its going to be OK, God is making ALL Things New including You!
For behold, I create new heavens and a new earth; And the former things will not be remembered or come to mind. Isaiah 65:17
The prophet Isaiah writes when the New Heaven and Earth is established, the Former Things Will Not Be Remembered. Meaning your past may have been a disaster but in Gods eyes its ancient history, it doesn’t exist anymore.
Maybe you have memories or thoughts that are haunting you from your past, God says the former things will no longer be remembered! God is making ALL THINGS NEW including You, believe in Jesus Christ, and become transformed Amen!
When Israel was a child, then I loved him, and called my son out of Egypt. Hosea 11:1
Fortold over 700 years before Jesus was born, another prophecy fulfilled when Joseph and Mary took the baby Jesus to Egypt to avoid King Herods murder of the innocent babies of Bethlehem. However this prophecy has a deeper meaning, as we understand the Old Testament is foreshadows of Christ and his New Covenant.
And thou shalt say unto Pharaoh, Thus saith the LORD, Israel is my son, even my firstborn: Exodus 4:22
We must go back to the Exodus to understand what Christ has fulfilled and accomplished for us. The Israelites were in slavery to Egypt for over 400 years. Notice God calls Israel his Son, a foreshadow of Christ. God freed Israel from slavery through Moses and led them to the Promise Land (Israel)
Now you might ask, what does this have to do with me? The same way God used Moses to free the Israelites from slavery, God also used Christ to free us from slavery of sin and death. The Exodus was a complete foreshadow of Gods redemption plan through Jesus Christ
When he arose, he took the young child and his mother by night, and departed into Egypt: And was there until the death of Herod: that it might be fulfilled which was spoken of the Lord by the prophet, saying, Out of Egypt have I called my son. Matthew 2:14-15
So by Mary and Joseph taking Jesus to Egypt and later returning to Nazareth, they fulfilled this Old Testament prophecy, which was confirmed by the Apostle Matthew. The Son of God, Jesus Christ, has freed of us of from the slavery of sin and death.
Our chains are gone, we have been set free! And Jesus will lead you to the Promise Land of the New Heavens and Earth (Revelation 22) Amen!
Thus says the LORD, “A voice is heard in Ramah, Lamentation and bitter weeping. Rachel is weeping for her children; She refuses to be comforted for her children, Because they are no more.” Jeremiah 31:15
Part of the Christmas story that nobody usually talks about is known as “Rachels Weeping” this was prophesied by Jeremiah and fulfilled in the gospel of Matthew
However we must remember that the Christmas story is not just about the birth of Christ but about the rebirth of humanity through Christ. This could only be accomplished by Jesus taking the punishment of our sin so we can be saved. So essentially Christ was born to die, born to defeat sin and death, born to set the captives free…set us free!
Who is Rachel? Rachel was the wife of Jacob and the mother of Joseph. For those of you familiar with the story of Joseph, he was a shadow of Christ to come. Rachels Tomb, which is one of the holiest sites in Israel, is in Bethlehem, the birthplace of Jesus Christ.
The prophecy of “Rachels Weeping” was fulfilled when King Herod issued a decree that all boys in Bethlehem 2 years old and younger be put to death in fear that they were the Messiah
Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi. Matthew 2:16
Since the beginning Satan has declared war on God, he would use any means he can to try and destroy the fulfillment of the Messiah (Christ) If Jesus wasn’t important Satan wouldn’t be spending his final days trying to stop Jesus, trying to divide the Church, trying to lead people astray with false doctrine and religion.
Jesus said Satan came to rob, steal, and kill (John 10:10) Accept the gift from God which is Jesus Christ, our Lord and Savior, and the only way to salvation, Amen!
For in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily. Colossians 2:9
Who said the Bible doesn’t mention the Trinity? Here we see the Apostle Paul explaining how the Godhead (Father, Son, and Holy Spirit) dwelled in Jesus. One thing you have to remember about God is that he is Triune in nature. So whatever he is doing, hes doing it in unison with the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit
Now some would say “Well my Bible doesn’t say “Godhead” its translated as “Deity”. Well the word Deity means basically God, Divine nature, creator ect. When you say that something is a Deity , your giving that divine status. So if you rather say Jesus is the fullness of Deity, your calling him God in the flesh!
When Mary gave birth in the manger, the Triune God came in human form. But notice God didn’t come down in a castle or a mansion. He came down in a barn. Why? Because Gods not impressed with worldly riches. We may be impressed, but Gods not. As Jesus said “Store up your treasures in heaven and not of this world” (Matthew 6:19-20)
And ye are complete in him, which is the head of all principality and power: Colossians 2:10
Why did Jesus come down to Earth? To deliver us from our sin, we are completed in Him. Jesus loves you enough to leave his throne in Heaven and take the position of a baby. To eventually become crucified for your sins. Then he rose from the dead after 3 days defeating the curse of sin forever!
Rejoice for the coming of The Lord! Rejoice for the coming of The Christ! Amen!
Jesus saith unto him, I am the way, the truth, and the life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.
Jesus provided the way for our salvation, Jesus provided a way for us to be reconciled back to God. Without the Birth of Christ, none of this would be possible. Our sins could never have become atoned for without the Birth of Christ. The Word being spoken by the Living Word, could have never happened without the Birth of Christ. The Cross could have never happened, The Resurrection could have never happened! It all began at the Manger to the Cross and then To The Tomb!
But people say “There are many ways to God” , there are many ways to Hell but there is only one path to eternal life and that is Jesus Christ! Who else accomplished what Jesus did? Who else was born of a Virgin by the Holy Spirit? Who else performed miracles and rose the dead? Who else willingly died for the sins of the world? Who else rose from the grave after 3 days? Who else ascended into Heaven to sit at the right hand of God? Who else fulfilled over 300 prophecies in the scripture? Nobody else has even come close to any of this, why would you follow another way?
Jesus came to provide us The Way, because we couldn’t provide that way ourselves. So celebrate his birth, the angels in Heaven did on that glorious night. Glory to our new born King , who loved us before we loved him! The Way starts at the manger! Bow down to the King of King and Lord of Lords! Amen!
For to us a child is born, to us a son is given, and the government will be on his shoulders. And he will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Everlasting Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6
This Christmas take the time to connect with your Lord and Savior Jesus Christ. Reflect on all he has given you and your family already and bless his holy name.
From me and my family we wish you all a Merry CHRISTmas and God bless!
Who is the image of the invisible God, the firstborn of every creature: For by him were all things created, that are in heaven, and that are in earth, visible and invisible, whether they be thrones, or dominions, or principalities, or powers: all things were created by him, and for him Colossians 1:15-16
Who Is the image of the invisible God? Of course its Jesus Christ! Immanuel, God in the flesh came to this Earth, born of a Virgin, Born to save us from our sins. Notice it also says “By Him (Jesus), All Things were Created”
When we look at the baby Jesus, this isn’t just another birth. This is God coming into human form to live among us. When you try to comprehend and understand this, you understand the significance of what happened that blessed day when Christ was born. The Creator essentially became created to bring grace and glory to the world
And he is before all things, and by him all things consist. And he is the head of the body, the church: who is the beginning, the firstborn from the dead; that in all things he might have the preeminence. Colossians 1:17-18
Now some groups like Jehovah Witnesses will use will use the previous scripture “Jesus is the firstborn” (Colossians 1:15) to say Jesus is not eternal or he was a created being from God. However if you look at verse 17 it answers this mystery. Jesus is the firstborn from the dead , what is it talking about? The resurrection!
Its not saying Jesus was created by God, because we know Jesus is God. Its saying Jesus was physically brought back to life at the Resurrection, the firstborn. Therefor we can inherit eternal life through Christ at the resurrection also!
This essentially is the Christmas story, not just Jesus was born into human form. But he also died for our sins and then was risen from the dead and defeated sin and death forever! Amen!
What man of you, having an hundred sheep, if he lose one of them, doth not leave the ninety and nine in the wilderness, and go after that which is lost, until he find it? And when he hath found it, he layeth it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Luke 15:4-5
When we think about Christmas, we think about the Nativity. When we envision the Nativity, we think about the baby Jesus being surrounded by animals, specifically sheep. As we learned from previous posts, Jesus is our Good Shepherd, we know the Saviors voice and we follow him. The Shepherd also lays down his life and protects the sheep
What if one of those sheep gets lost? The Good shepherd leaves the other 99 sheep to go find his 1 lost sheep. Remember Jesus said “we belong to the shepherd”, you were bought with a price of Jesus blood (1 Corinthians 6:20) you belong to Christ and he goes looking for his lost sheep!
Notice what happens when Christ finds his sheep, he puts them on his shoulders and rejoices! He didn’t condemn the lost sheep because the price was already paid for their debt.
I say unto you, that likewise joy shall be in heaven over one sinner that repenteth, more than over ninety and nine just persons, which need no repentance. Luke 15:7
All of Heaven rejoices when that lost sheep is found and repents of their sins. Just as in the way the sky was filled with angels glorifying the birth of our Savior! The sky is celebrating with angels every time a lost sheep comes home to the Good Shepherd
If your lost, come to the manger. Come to the Good Shepherd who you belong to! Let the heaven rejoice by your return to God Amen!
