This is another one that was very difficult to listen to because as you pointed out Pastor Warren the heresy.

He has the audacity to say that the truth (in this case) is “fundamentally flawed” because it relegates God to a “transactional” God (paraphrased)? Then to essentially say that Jesus died on the Cross just to show God’s perfect love to mankind? That there was no other purpose to Jesus dying on the Cross but to show God’s perfect love to mankind? So, he (they) say that Jesus didn’t have to die on the Cross.

This is utter nonsense. Who would die for no definitive purpose? This is disturbing and should be disturbing to anyone who knows the truth.

This is another example how Satan and his minions use only part of Scripture or the truth to deceive people.

True, Jesus dying on the Cross was out of love for mankind (ref. John 3:16, e.g.). The second part of the truth, however, is that He showed His love for mankind by paying for their sins by dying on the Cross. To pay a debt that we couldn’t pay. A debt that only He could pay.

What they espouse grossly cheapens what Jesus did on the Cross. That is certainly the work of the Devil.
