I agree that this pastor is way off, regarding the issue of homosexuality. But I do agree with him that Christ-followers too often have attitudes that exude hostility instead of compassion. I have known people with same sex attraction who are believers, and they struggle daily with temptation that they never asked for. When they turn to the Church for help, they should be treated with the same compassion as one struggling with any other temptation. When asked if I believe homosexuality is a sin, I ask for clarification – the emotion or the activity? Homosexual behavior is sin. The attraction is temptation, something we all have to deal with in one form or another.
I agree, but these “Churches” don’t preach a true gospel, they tell them they are not in sin and have no need for repentance, leaving them dead in their sins and headed to Hell, this is not loving at all
The loving thing to do is tell people the truth, we all need to repent, become Born Again in Christ, and live for Jesus and not the world, God bless!
i agree totally. I’m just saying that if the first thing they sense from us is condemnation, it will be hard to hold out the Word of God to them. (“People don’t care how much you know until they know how much you care.”)
