Abba Father

For You are our Father, though Abraham does not know us And Israel does not recognize us. You, O LORD, are our Father, Our Redeemer from of old is Your name. Isaiah 63:16

An Amazing revelation by the prophet Isaiah, the God is not only the Father of Israel, but Gentiles also! There was going to come a day, when God would open up his covenant with the rest of the world through his Son Jesus Christ.

By the blood of Christ, no longer are we aliens or strangers to God, we become his Children. We become the children of God by the blood of Jesus Christ. We have entered into his eternal covenant that we will inherit the Promised Land of the New Heavens and Earth with Jesus Christ ruling from the throne

For you have not received a spirit of slavery leading to fear again, but you have received a spirit of adoption as sons by which we cry out, “Abba! Father!” Romans 8:15

When you are adopted , you are a legitimate child to that family. Joseph went to Bethlehem and he adopted/registered Jesus as his own son. Even though we know Jesus is the Son of God, by the adoption Jesus fulfilled the Line of David.

We as Christians have been adopted into Gods covenant. We are no longer slaves and strangers, we are Children of God, and we call our God “Abba Father”!  Because of Jesus Christ we have all been made One with God. Because of Christ our Redeemer Amen!

Revelation Chapter 12

A great sign appeared in heaven: a woman clothed with the sun, and the moon under her feet, and on her head a crown of twelve stars; and she was with child; and she cried out, being in labor and in pain to give birth. Revelation 12:1-2

Who is this symbolic woman? I believe it’s the nation of Israel. Notice the 12 stars on her crown are the 12 tribes of Israel…Notice She (Israel) was with Child (Jesus Christ) Lets not forget Jesus is the Lion of Judah…even though he came to save the whole world, he came from Israel

For a child will be born to us, a son will be given to us; And the government will rest on His shoulders; And His name will be called Wonderful Counselor, Mighty God, Eternal Father, Prince of Peace. Isaiah 9:6

Then another sign appeared in heaven: and behold, a great red dragon having seven heads and ten horns, and on his heads were seven diadems. Revelation 12:3

The Great Red Dragon is Satan himself, and on the Beast was heads and horns representing the nations/kingdoms and rulers/kings who follow Satan and persecute Jews and Christians because of him Notice the word diadems for crowns meaning power/royalty

“After this I kept looking in the night visions, and behold, a fourth beast, dreadful and terrifying and extremely strong; and it had large iron teeth. It devoured and crushed and trampled down the remainder with its feet; and it was different from all the beasts that were before it, and it had ten horns. Daniel 7:7

And his tail swept away a third of the stars of heaven and threw them to the earth. And the dragon stood before the woman who was about to give birth, so that when she gave birth he might devour her child. Revelation 12:4

The 1/3rd of Stars from Heaven are the Fallen Angels that have followed Satan to wage war on God and Jesus Christ. Notice throughout time Satan has been trying to kill the Messiah but never succeeded.  He killed Abel in the Garden, He tried to kill Moses,  He tried to kill David, He even tried to kill Jesus when he was born through Herod.

However, Satan misunderstood Gods plan, that Jesus would lay down his life to defeat him and death forever!

Then when Herod saw that he had been tricked by the magi, he became very enraged, and sent and slew all the male children who were in Bethlehem and all its vicinity, from two years old and under, according to the time which he had determined from the magi Matthew 2:16

And she gave birth to a son, a male child, who is to rule all the nations with a rod of iron; and her child was caught up to God and to His throne. Revelation 12:5

This describes Jesus Christ exactly…Jesus is the King of Kings who will rule the world with a rod of iron..who also sits at the right hand of the Father

AND HE SHALL RULE THEM WITH A ROD OF IRON, AS THE VESSELS OF THE POTTER ARE BROKEN TO PIECES, as I also have received authority from My Father; Revelation 2:27

So then, when the Lord Jesus had spoken to them, He was received up into heaven and sat down at the right hand of God. Mark 16:19

Then the woman fled into the wilderness where she had a place prepared by God, so that there she would be nourished for one thousand two hundred and sixty days. Revelation 12:6

The woman who fled is the persecution being suffered during the tribulation. 1,260 days is the 3.5 years of the tribulation. The 7 year tribulation is divided into 2 parts based on the “abomination that causes desolation” Daniel prophecies about this and then Jesus confirms his prophecy. The second half of the tribulation will be even worse than the first half

“And he will make a firm covenant with the many for one week, but in the middle of the week he will put a stop to sacrifice and grain offering; and on the wing of abominations will come one who makes desolate, even until a complete destruction, one that is decreed, is poured out on the one who makes desolate.” Daniel 9:27

Therefore when you see the ABOMINATION OF DESOLATION which was spoken of through Daniel the prophet, standing in the holy place (let the reader understand), Matthew 24:15

And there was war in heaven, Michael and his angels waging war with the dragon. The dragon and his angels waged war, and they were not strong enough, and there was no longer a place found for them in heaven. And the great dragon was thrown down, the serpent of old who is called the devil and Satan, who deceives the whole world; he was thrown down to the earth, and his angels were thrown down with him. Revelation 12:7-9

In this scene we see Satan and his Fallen Angels been thrown out of Heaven forever. The angels led by Michael the Arc Angel. Because of this many falsely believe Michael and Jesus being the same person. Make no mistake about it, Jesus is the name above all names, the only begotten (meaning unique) Son

“Now at that time Michael, the great prince who stands guard over the sons of your people, will arise. And there will be a time of distress such as never occurred since there was a nation until that time; and at that time your people, everyone who is found written in the book, will be rescued. Daniel 12:1

Then I heard a loud voice in heaven, saying, “Now the salvation, and the power, and the kingdom of our God and the authority of His Christ have come, for the accuser of our brethren has been thrown down, he who accuses them before our God day and night. And they overcame him because of the blood of the Lamb and because of the word of their testimony, and they did not love their life even when faced with death. For this reason, rejoice, O heavens and you who dwell in them. Woe to the earth and the sea, because the devil has come down to you, having great wrath, knowing that he has only a short time.” Revelation 12:10-12

Notice God says “Because of the Blood of The Lamb, we have Overcome! Shows you just how much power there is in Jesus Christ. By his blood shed at the cross, we have become victorious over Satan and death. Now God declared Satans time is short on Earth, his final destination (Lake of Fire) is coming soon!

“These things I have spoken to you, so that in Me you may have peace. In the world you have tribulation, but take courage; I have overcome the world.” John 16:33

And when the dragon saw that he was thrown down to the earth, he persecuted the woman who gave birth to the male child. But the two wings of the great eagle were given to the woman, so that she could fly into the wilderness to her place, where she was nourished for a time and times and half a time, from the presence of the serpent. Revelation 12:13-14

Great persecution is now being caused by Satan on the Church because Christ has overcome him. The two wings of the great eagle is the same that God saved the Jewish people from Egypt. Satans time is running out, and this is his last effort destroy souls

You yourselves have seen what I did to the Egyptians, and how I bore you on eagles’ wings, and brought you to Myself. Exodus 19:4

And the serpent poured water like a river out of his mouth after the woman, so that he might cause her to be swept away with the flood. But the earth helped the woman, and the earth opened its mouth and drank up the river which the dragon poured out of his mouthSo the dragon was enraged with the woman, and went off to make war with the rest of her children, who keep the commandments of God and hold to the testimony of Jesus. Revelation 12:15-17

The flood of water pouring out of Satans mouth are heresies and false doctrines that are being delivered to the Church. These lies and deceptions are meant to tear apart the unity of the Church. Notice Satan doesn’t attack those who are led astray, he attacks those who hold to the Word of God and Jesus Christ

If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. John 14:15

The Good Shepherd

I am the good shepherd; the good shepherd lays down His life for the sheep. John 10:11

Jesus is many things for us, the Good Shepherd is one of the many characteristics of Christ. When we feel alone and unwanted, know this, that you have a Shepherd watching over you, who knows your voice! And we as Christians know the voice of our Shepherd, and we answered the call of our Shepherd

The Shepherd not only loves us, but he willingly laid down his life for us. As Jesus said “Nobody takes his life for him , he willingly gave up his life so we may have eternal life. (John 10:17-18) Think about it, Jesus is not only our Shepherd, but he was also our sacrificial Lamb that took away our sins

What man among you, if he has a hundred sheep and has lost one of them, does not leave the ninety-nine in the open pasture and go after the one which is lost until he finds it? When he has found it, he lays it on his shoulders, rejoicing. Luke 15:4-5

Jesus leaves the 99 righteous Sheep to find the 1 Lost Sheep, and when he finds that Sheep, he carries them on his shoulders rejoicing! Jesus cares about your salvation, Jesus willingly gave up everything so he can save you from condemnation! What a wonderful Lord and God we serve!

The LORD is my shepherd, I shall not want. Psalm 23:1

The Lord Jesus Christ is our Shepherd and we lack nothing! He provides everything we need including salvation that can only be received from him. Answer the call from your Good Shepherd! Stop running away and risk being devoured by wolves! Let the Lord Jesus carry you home on his Shoulders Amen!

Revelation Chapter 11

Then there was given me a measuring rod like a staff; and someone said, “Get up and measure the temple of God and the altar, and those who worship in it. Leave out the court which is outside the temple and do not measure it, for it has been given to the nations; and they will tread under foot the holy city for forty-two months. Revelation 11:1-2

What is John measuring here? Could this be the prophecy of the 3rd Temple to be built in Jerusalem? Or could this be “New Jerusalem” that will be coming down from Heaven?  The same vision  is also confirmed by prophets Ezekiel and Zechariah

So He brought me there; and behold, there was a man whose appearance was like the appearance of bronze, with a line of flax and a measuring rod in his hand; and he was standing in the gateway. Ezekiel 40:3

Then I lifted up my eyes and looked, and behold, there was a man with a measuring line in his hand. Zechariah 2:1

And I will grant authority to my two witnesses, and they will prophesy for twelve hundred and sixty days, clothed in sackcloth.” These are the two olive trees and the two lampstands that stand before the Lord of the earth. And if anyone wants to harm them, fire flows out of their mouth and devours their enemies; so if anyone wants to harm them, he must be killed in this way. These have the power to shut up the sky, so that rain will not fall during the days of their prophesying; and they have power over the waters to turn them into blood, and to strike the earth with every plague, as often as they desire. Revelation 11:3-6

Who are the 2 Witnesses? Many have speculated who they are, I believe it will be Moses and Elijah. Why? Because Moses represents The Law and Elijah represents the prophets. This is why Jesus met them at the transfiguration

Notice the symbolism of the 2 Lampstands or 2 Olive Trees, they are filled with Oil, Oil is always symbolic for the Holy Spirit. These men will preach the Word of God to the entire world before the final Woe or 7th Trumpet is sounded

And behold, Moses and Elijah appeared to them, talking with Him. Matthew 17:3

When they have finished their testimony, the beast that comes up out of the abyss will make war with them, and overcome them and kill them. And their dead bodies will lie in the street of the great city which mystically is called Sodom and Egypt, where also their Lord was crucified. Those from the peoples and tribes and tongues and nations will look at their dead bodies for three and a half days, and will not permit their dead bodies to be laid in a tomb. And those who dwell on the earth will rejoice over them and celebrate; and they will send gifts to one another, because these two prophets tormented those who dwell on the earth. Revelation 11:7-10

The Anti-Christ will eventually kill the 2 witnesses and the wicked who are left in the world will celebrate. There dead bodies will lay in the streets for 3 and half days. But how does the entire world view their dead bodies? Today this is simple, with smart phones and social media, just more proof we are living in the last days. There dead bodies will be streamed live to everyone’s phone while the wicked rejoice and celebrate

As Daniel prophesied , during the End Times Knowledge will Increase, we are seeing this today with technology and social media

“But as for you, Daniel, conceal these words and seal up the book until the end of time; many will go back and forth, and knowledge will increase.” Daniel 12:4

But after the three and a half days, the breath of life from God came into them, and they stood on their feet; and great fear fell upon those who were watching them. And they heard a loud voice from heaven saying to them, “Come up here.” Then they went up into heaven in the cloud, and their enemies watched them. Revelation 11:11-12

The 2 Witnesses are then “resurrected” after 3 and half days of death. Imagine watching this live on your smart phone. Breaking News 2 prophets killed have now come back to life! And then there were ascended back to the Father! What a powerful scene, surely everyone left on Earth will be terrified and should be!

When He had said these things, He cried out with a loud voice, “Lazarus, come forth.” John 11:43

And in that hour there was a great earthquake, and a tenth of the city fell; seven thousand people were killed in the earthquake, and the rest were terrified and gave glory to the God of heaven. The second woe is past; behold, the third woe is coming quickly Revelation 11:13-14

Notice after this massive earthquake that killed thousands of people, the wicked on the Earth have now given Glory to God! Again people would ask, why would God do these judgements? Because its saving souls! Many people have hardened their hearts so much, that it will take a natural disaster for them to repent

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Then the seventh angel sounded; and there were loud voices in heaven, saying, “The kingdom of the world has become the kingdom of our Lord and of His Christ; and He will reign forever and ever.” Revelation 11:15

What a wonderful announcement by God! The Kingdom of the world now belongs to God again, evil will be completely purged and eliminated. The setting up for the New Heavens and Earth is coming!

Arise, O God, judge the earth! For it is You who possesses all the nations. Psalm 82:8

And the twenty-four elders, who sit on their thrones before God, fell on their faces and worshiped God, saying, “We give You thanks, O Lord God, the Almighty, who are and who were, because You have taken Your great power and have begun to reign. Revelation 11:16-17

And the worship service continues, notice it says “You (God) have begun to reign” Meaning evil is finally being abolished from the Earth. Anyone who wants to continue to live in Sin will not be doing so in Gods Kingdom

If you have died with Christ to the elementary principles of the world, why, as if you were living in the world, do you submit yourself to decrees, such as, Colossians 2:20

“And the nations were enraged, and Your wrath came, and the time came for the dead to be judged, and the time to reward Your bond-servants the prophets and the saints and those who fear Your name, the small and the great, and to destroy those who destroy the earth.” Revelation 11:18

Jesus is setting up his “Great White Throne of Judgement” which will be talked about in a later chapter. Stay tuned! Also its mentioned how its time to reward all those who served God throughout the years! This often a topic misunderstood, yes we cant earn our salvation however we should be working for the Lord to spread his Kingdom.

“For to everyone who has, more shall be given, and he will have an abundance; but from the one who does not have, even what he does have shall be taken away. Matthew 25:29

And the temple of God which is in heaven was opened; and the ark of His covenant appeared in His temple, and there were flashes of lightning and sounds and peals of thunder and an earthquake and a great hailstorm. Revelation 11:19

The Temple of God in Heaven has been revealed, what does this mean? We are drawing closer to the time when Heaven and Earth come together to form the new Paradise or Kingdom. The Ark of Covenant is his Law. Gods Law still rules in the minds and hearts of all those who will be in Gods Kingdom! The Awesomeness of God and his Kingdom cant even be fully described, the power and majesty!

THIS IS THE COVENANT THAT I WILL MAKE WITH THEM AFTER THOSE DAYS, SAYS THE LORD: I WILL PUT MY LAWS UPON THEIR HEART, AND ON THEIR MIND I WILL WRITE THEM,” He then says, Hebrews 10:16

Who Is Worthy?

“I looked, and there was no one to help, And I was astonished and there was no one to uphold; So My own arm brought salvation to Me, And My wrath upheld Me. Isaiah 63:5

Its very simple, We couldn’t save ourselves so God came to save us!  So My Own Arm (Jesus Christ) brought Salvation to God!

God was looking for people to bring him honor and glory, yet he couldn’t find anyone! Everyone has turned their own way, everyone was lost and mislead by idols and sin. However God always had a solution to humanity’s problem and its Jesus Christ. Isaiah revealed multiple times throughout his writings that Jesus is the Arm of God

Then I began to weep greatly because no one was found worthy to open the book or to look into it; Revelation 5:4

Fast forward to Revelation, still God couldn’t find anyone worthy, in Heaven or Earth , to open the scrolls, except our Lord Jesus Christ!

and one of the elders said to me, “Stop weeping; behold, the Lion that is from the tribe of Judah, the Root of David, has overcome so as to open the book and its seven seals.” Revelation 5:5

Do not weep or mourn any longer, because the Lion of Judah (Jesus Christ) is worthy to open the book of Life. Jesus is the only one to bring us salvation , and he did on the cross at Calvary, Hallelujah to Lamb of God, he is worthy of ALL Praise Amen!

Revelation Chapter 10

I saw another strong angel coming down out of heaven, clothed with a cloud; and the rainbow was upon his head, and his face was like the sun, and his feet like pillars of fire; and he had in his hand a little book which was open. He placed his right foot on the sea and his left on the land; and he cried out with a loud voice, as when a lion roars; and when he had cried out, the seven peals of thunder uttered their voices. Revelation 10:1-3

We begin this chapter with “another strong angel” coming down from heaven. Many believe this is Christ himself however it clearly says its “another angel”. Notice a Rainbow was on his head, what do we know about the Rainbow? It was the covenant God made with humanity from the judgement of the flood. The covenant is clearly still on the mind of God and he wants everyone to become saved

What are the 7 peals of thunder? Remember 7 is the number of completion in the Bible. Thunder is typically symbolic of judgement. The original Greek word for “thunder” is bronte which also means “to roar” So the 7 peals of thunder are loud yells of judgement to the world

When the seven peals of thunder had spoken, I was about to write; and I heard a voice from heaven saying, “Seal up the things which the seven peals of thunder have spoken and do not write them.” Revelation 10:4

Whatever was spoken during the “7 Peals of Thunder” it has been sealed up by God Almighty. We can’t even begin to speculate what was said, because these words have been sealed and not revealed anywhere in the Bible.

Then the angel whom I saw standing on the sea and on the land lifted up his right hand to heaven, and swore by Him who lives forever and ever, WHO CREATED HEAVEN AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE EARTH AND THE THINGS IN IT, AND THE SEA AND THE THINGS IN IT, that there will be delay no longer, but in the days of the voice of the seventh angel, when he is about to sound, then the mystery of God is finished, as He preached to His servants the prophets. Revelation 10:5-7

When the 7th and final Trumpet sounds, the mystery of God is finished! What does this mean? What is about to be revealed by God? I think this is the final warning by God for sinners! Its time to repent and be saved through Jesus Christ, after this trumpet will be the seven bowls of wrath poured out onto the Earth

Notice the angel says “there will be delay no longer” many question why didn’t Jesus return yet. Because God wants everyone to be saved! He is delaying his wrath as long as possible, however people just never want to repent. The time is running out!

The Lord is not slow about His promise, as some count slowness, but is patient toward you, not wishing for any to perish but for all to come to repentance. 2 Peter 3:9

Then the voice which I heard from heaven, I heard again speaking with me, and saying, “Go, take the book which is open in the hand of the angel who stands on the sea and on the land.” So I went to the angel, telling him to give me the little book. And he said to me, “Take it and eat it; it will make your stomach bitter, but in your mouth it will be sweet as honey I took the little book out of the angel’s hand and ate it, and in my mouth it was sweet as honey; and when I had eaten it, my stomach was made bitter. Revelation 10:8-10

The little book that was in the angels hand was given to John. Why was the book bitter and sweet? First off let’s be clear, the message in this little book was the Word of God. The Word of God is very sweet to those who understand its salvation and redemption. However those who reject God and his word, we know the bitterness of his wrath and judgement! This makes the Word of God very bittersweet

How sweet are Your words to my taste! Yes, sweeter than honey to my mouth! Psalm 119:103

 

He said to me, “Son of man, feed your stomach and fill your body with this scroll which I am giving you.” Then I ate it, and it was sweet as honey in my mouth. Ezekiel 3:3

And they said to me, “You must prophesy again concerning many peoples and nations and tongues and kings.” Revelation 10:11

This is setting the stage for the 2 Witnesses that we will see later in Revelation. They will preach the Truth to the entire world! But also us, since we are digesting the prophecy here in Revelation, we need to witness to the entire world before its too late!

Revelation Chapter 9

Then the fifth angel sounded, and I saw a star from heaven which had fallen to the earth; and the key of the bottomless pit was given to him. Revelation 9:1

This Chapter we begin the start of the “3 Woes” things are going to get very bad for whoever is left on the Earth. The 5th Trumpet has sounded, and a “Star” from Heaven  is thrown down to Earth. What is this Star? The correct question is Who is This Star?

The Star is reference to Satan himself, being cast down to Earth and given permission to open the Abyss (bottomless pit)

How you have fallen from heaven, O star of the morning, son of the dawn! You have been cut down to the earth, You who have weakened the nations! Isaiah 14:12

And He said to them, “I was watching Satan fall from heaven like lightning. Luke 10:18

He opened the bottomless pit, and smoke went up out of the pit, like the smoke of a great furnace; and the sun and the air were darkened by the smoke of the pit. Then out of the smoke came locusts upon the earth, and power was given them, as the scorpions of the earth have power. Revelation 9:2-3

Satan now on the Earth and has opened the Abyss (Bottomless Pit) What is the Abyss? It’s a holding cell for demons. We remember the story when Jesus cast out the demons of Legion, they begged him not to send them into the Abyss (Bottomless Pit) I believe the Abyss is also referred to as Hades

We see the demons described as Locusts coming out of the ground. Have you every accidently uncovered a bees nest or something similar? I have recently and I can understand what John is trying to describe here. There are so many demons, that they are being released in swarms. What a scary sight, the Earth is covered with Demons and Satan himself

 

And they begged Jesus repeatedly not to order them to go into the Abyss. Luke 8:31

For if God did not spare angels when they sinned, but cast them into hell (Tartarus) (Bottomless Pit) and committed them to pits of darkness, reserved for judgment; 2 Peter 2:4

 

They were told not to hurt the grass of the earth, nor any green thing, nor any tree, but only the men who do not have the seal of God on their foreheads And they were not permitted to kill anyone, but to torment for five months; and their torment was like the torment of a scorpion when it stings a man. Revelation 9:4-5

Anyone who is not sealed by the Holy Spirit, the Demons are permitted to torture you for 5 months. As bad as this sounds, the fact that the Holy Spirit is still on the Earth, means that people still have a chance to repent and come to salvation through Christ

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

And in those days men will seek death and will not find it; they will long to die, and death flees from them. Revelation 9:6

With all the evil and torment on the Earth, many will seek to die however God wont allow death. Notice even after all this torment, the wicked people still will not Repent! However God is granting them time to still repent and be saved

The appearance of the locusts was like horses prepared for battle; and on their heads appeared to be crowns like gold, and their faces were like the faces of men. They had hair like the hair of women, and their teeth were like the teeth of lions. And they had breastplates, as it were breastplates of iron; and the sound of their wings was as the sound of chariots of many horses running to battle. They have tails like scorpions, and stings; and in their tails is their power to hurt men for five months. Revelation 9:7-10

Here we see the Demons described:

  • Horses prepared for Battle Terrifying and intimidating. I would guess they are rather large and strong
  • Faces of Men Meaning highly intelligent..Demons are very intelligent…this is why the world is so easily deceived
  • Hair of Women Meaning physically beautiful…remember Demons/Angels are beautiful creatures not how we portray them…they can be very deceiving
  • Breastplates of Iron Meaning they are indestructible to us….those left won’t be able to kill them or fight them off
  • Tails of Scorpions They have been given the authority to torment anyone who is not sealed by the Holy Spirit

They have as king over them, the angel of the abyss; his name in Hebrew is Abaddon, and in the Greek he has the name Apollyon. The first woe is past; behold, two woes are still coming after these things. Revelation 9:11-12

The world seems to be spinning out of control, but notice even in judgement, God is still in complete control. The demons even have a King over them (Apollyon) to keep them in line. And the demons are only permitted to torture and not kill

Abaddon/Apollyon means destruction or destroyer. Is this angel Satan himself or the Anti Christ? I don’t think so, remember the Bible never teaches that Satan controls Hell or anything. God is always in control, I believe this angel is under Gods authority

This completes only the 1rst Woe and the 5th Trumpet

 

Then the sixth angel sounded, and I heard a voice from the four horns of the golden altar which is before God, one saying to the sixth angel who had the trumpet, “Release the four angels who are bound at the great river Euphrates.” Revelation 9:13-14

The 6th Trumpet has sounded and the 2nd Woe will begin.  What is symbolic of the Euphrates River? Its been an important river through the Bible, it was a river in the Garden of Eden and also a River that divided the “Promise Land” to the nation of Israel. The Euphrates is the dividing line for Armageddon. When this river dries up it will enables the enemies of Israel to cross over and attack them..stay tuned

And the four angels, who had been prepared for the hour and day and month and year, were released, so that they would kill a third of mankind. The number of the armies of the horsemen was two hundred million; I heard the number of them. Revelation 9:15-16

More Demons are released, and it’s says about 200 million of them! Think about that staggering number. And these demons didn’t come to just torment, they came to Kill this time. They kill 1/3 of mankind that is left on the Earth! Think about that we could be talking about millions maybe billions of people

And this is how I saw in the vision the horses and those who sat on them: the riders had breastplates the color of fire and of hyacinth and of brimstone; and the heads of the horses are like the heads of lions; and out of their mouths proceed fire and smoke and brimstone. A third of mankind was killed by these three plagues, by the fire and the smoke and the brimstone which proceeded out of their mouths. For the power of the horses is in their mouths and in their tails; for their tails are like serpents and have heads, and with them they do harm. Revelation 9:17-19

Not only are these demons terrifying to look at, but they are also powerful and deadly. They obviously have more power and authority then the first batch of demons. They kill 1/3 of mankind with fire and brimstone!

The rest of mankind, who were not killed by these plagues, did not repent of the works of their hands, so as not to worship demons, and the idols of gold and of silver and of brass and of stone and of wood, which can neither see nor hear nor walk; and they did not repent of their murders nor of their sorceries nor of their immorality nor of their thefts. Revelation 9:20-21

However despite all the death and destruction, there are still many people who will not repent! People may wonder why God would send all these plagues and demons, because God wants us all to be saved! He wants us all to repent and come to Jesus Christ!

Or do you not know that the unrighteous will not inherit the kingdom of God? Do not be deceived; neither fornicators, nor idolaters, nor adulterers, nor effeminate, nor homosexuals, nor thieves, nor the covetous, nor drunkards, nor revilers, nor swindlers, will inherit the kingdom of God. 1 Corinthians 6:9-10

Son Of Man

Jesus said to him, “You have both seen Him, and He is the one who is talking with you.” John 9:37

Jesus cured the blind man, and rather than the Religious Leaders accept him, they false accused him of blasphemy. Why is this? Because the Religious Leaders love their religion. They love their manmade positions and doctrines more than they love God

Jesus asked the blind man, Do you believe in the Son of Man? The blind man asked who is the Son of Man? Jesus clearly revealed he is the Son of Man! The one who opens the eyes of the blind. To Gentiles the Son of Man title doesn’t mean much, but to the Jewish people they knew exactly what Jesus was talking about

“I kept looking in the night visions, And behold, with the clouds of heaven One like a Son of Man was coming, And He came up to the Ancient of Days And was presented before Him. Daniel 7:13

Daniel prophesied about the Son of Man, The Messiah, God in the Flesh. All the Jewish people clearly understood this prophecy, the understood this title of Son of Man. Jesus clearly identifies himself as the Son of Man

And he said, “Lord, I believe.” And he worshiped Him John 9:38

Notice the man understood who Jesus was saying who he was and worshipped him! Would Jesus allow someone to worship him if he wasn’t God? Absolutely Not, However Jesus is the Son of Man, God in the Flesh (John 1:14), therefor he is worthy of all praise Amen!

Revelation Chapter 8

When the Lamb broke the seventh seal, there was silence in heaven for about half an hour. Revelation 8:1

Finally, the 7th and final seal is Broken. Notice this Seal is complete silence in Heaven, just like a Sabbath of Seals. God rested on the 7th day of Creation, there is a break/silence on the 7th seal of the great tribulation. This marks the beginning of the next phase of judgement, natural disasters,  the 7 trumpets

(Remember from previous chapters, 7 is symbolic for completion)

In this Chapter we will only see the first 4 Trumpets sounded

And I saw the seven angels who stand before God, and seven trumpets were given to them. Another angel came and stood at the altar, holding a golden censer; and much incense was given to him, so that he might add it to the prayers of all the saints on the golden altar which was before the throne. And the smoke of the incense, with the prayers of the saints, went up before God out of the angel’s hand. Revelation 8:2-4

In this scene we see the 7 Angels (who represented the 7 Churches) and the 7 trumpets that are now given to them. Each trumpet will represent a different judgement/natural disaster upon the Earth, some of them are very similar to the plagues of Egypt. We will break them down in more detail as we go along.

Remember our prayers are collected by God and released like a sweet-smelling incense. Just think of all your heartfelt prayers to God are not only heard but are being collected and used to glorify God!

May my prayer be counted as incense before You; The lifting up of my hands as the evening offering. Psalm 141:2

Then the angel took the censer and filled it with the fire of the altar, and threw it to the earth; and there followed peals of thunder and sounds and flashes of lightning and an earthquake. And the seven angels who had the seven trumpets prepared themselves to sound them. Revelation 8:5-6

The censer filled with all our prayers is now thrown down to Earth to begin massive judgement of the wicked and evil. Now all that is left is judgment for the wicked!

The trumpets have now been sounded…Judgement is now beginning! Judgement that is on a scale that has never been seen before!

The first sounded, and there came hail and fire, mixed with blood, and they were thrown to the earth; and a third of the earth was burned up, and a third of the trees were burned up, and all the green grass was burned up. Revelation 8:7

The 1rst Trumpet,  1/3rd of the entire Earth is scorched! Imagine this scene, we see the wildfires going on in California, imagine 33% of the Earth is on fire! No green grass is left on the entire Earth! Its beginning to look like Hell on Earth already. Compared to the fire and brimstone God sent down on the Earth during the plagues of Egypt

And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and the LORD sent thunder and hail, and the fire ran along upon the ground; and the LORD rained hail upon the land of Egypt. Exodus 9:23

The second angel sounded, and something like a great mountain burning with fire was thrown into the sea; and a third of the sea became blood, and a third of the creatures which were in the sea and had life, died; and a third of the ships were destroyed. Revelation 8:8-9

The 2nd Trumpet, 1/3rd of the sea turns to Blood! 33% of everything living in the sea dies! Again very similar to the plagues of Egypt.

So Moses and Aaron did even as the LORD had commanded. And he lifted up the staff and struck the water that was in the Nile, in the sight of Pharaoh and in the sight of his servants, and all the water that was in the Nile was turned to blood. The fish that were in the Nile died, and the Nile became foul, so that the Egyptians could not drink water from the Nile. And the blood was through all the land of Egypt. Exodus 7:20-21

The third angel sounded, and a great star fell from heaven, burning like a torch, and it fell on a third of the rivers and on the springs of waters. The name of the star is called Wormwood; and a third of the waters became wormwood, and many men died from the waters, because they were made bitter. Revelation 8:10-11

The 3rd Trumpet is sounded, and now 1/3rd of all the fresh drinking water is contaminated. A great star named “Wormwood” is thrown into the water and poisons it, so what is Wormwood? Wormwood is a popular bitter herb , even still used today. So when you say “Wormwood” people generally associate it to “Bitterness”. However as we read, the water are not only Bitter but Poisonous. This will cause great distress among the Earth

The fourth angel sounded, and a third of the sun and a third of the moon and a third of the stars were struck, so that a third of them would be darkened and the day would not shine for a third of it, and the night in the same way. Revelation 8:12

The 4th Trumpet is sounded, and darkness is cast upon the Earth, as the Sun, Moon, and 1/3rd of all stars are struck. Again this is very similar to the plague in Egypt where God cast darkness upon Egypt for 3 days.

Then the LORD said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be darkness over the land of Egypt, even a darkness which may be felt.” Exodus 10:21

Then I looked, and I heard an eagle flying in midheaven, saying with a loud voice, “Woe, woe, woe to those who dwell on the earth, because of the remaining blasts of the trumpet of the three angels who are about to sound!” Revelation 8:13

The ending of this Chapter is very interesting, the finally 3 Trumpets are known as the 3 Woes because of this warning upon the Earth. The word “Woe” in the Bible is often used to describe a Judgement that is beyond description. Jesus used the warning of Woe throughout his Ministry

As bad as the first 4 Trumpets were, the last 3 Trumpets (Woes) are going to be even worse! Get Ready!

“Woe to the world because of its stumbling blocks! For it is inevitable that stumbling blocks come; but woe to that man through whom the stumbling block comes! Matthew 18:7
