Revelation Chapter 14

Then I looked, and behold, the Lamb was standing on Mount Zion, and with Him one hundred and forty-four thousand, having His name and the name of His Father written on their foreheads. And I heard a voice from heaven, like the sound of many waters and like the sound of loud thunder, and the voice which I heard was like the sound of harpists playing on their harps. Revelation 14:1-2

We begin this chapter with the 144,000, remember these are the 12 tribes of Israel. The name of God written of their foreheads, meaning they are sealed by the Holy Spirit.

A loud sound begins to play out of Heaven, this will begin another worship service for our Lord Jesus Christ

In Him, you also, after listening to the message of truth, the gospel of your salvation– having also believed, you were sealed in Him with the Holy Spirit of promise, Ephesians 1:13

And they sang a new song before the throne and before the four living creatures and the elders; and no one could learn the song except the one hundred and forty-four thousand who had been purchased from the earth. These are the ones who have not been defiled with women, for they have kept themselves chaste. These are the ones who follow the Lamb wherever He goes. These have been purchased from among men as first fruits to God and to the Lamb. And no lie was found in their mouth; they are blameless. Revelation 14:3-5

The worship service begins with the 144,000, the 4 creatures, and the elders. Greater detail is now given about the 144,000. Not only are they the 12 Tribes of Israel but they are also “spiritual virgins”. Are they actual virgins, that is debatable, however we know that they are holy and blameless before God.

It reminds me of when Jesus taught about the “Ten Virgins” , was he being literal? No , spiritually we are to be holy for God, as a virgin bride

For I am jealous for you with a godly jealousy; for I betrothed you to one husband, so that to Christ I might present you as a pure virgin. 2 Corinthians 11:2

And I saw another angel flying in midheaven, having an eternal gospel to preach to those who live on the earth, and to every nation and tribe and tongue and people; and he said with a loud voice, “Fear God, and give Him glory, because the hour of His judgment has come; worship Him who made the heaven and the earth and sea and springs of waters.” Revelation 14:6-7

We are now going to see a series of 3 angels who are going to give warnings to the entire world. “Fear God” is the core of their message, how far we have gotten away from this message even in our world today. “Judgement Has Come” time is up for all the wicked who have rejected God and continue to live in their immorality

Do not fear those who kill the body but are unable to kill the soul; but rather fear Him who is able to destroy both soul and body in hell. Matthew 10:28

And another angel, a second one, followed, saying, “Fallen, fallen is Babylon the great, she who has made all the nations drink of the wine of the passion of her immorality.” Revelation 14:8

Who or what is Babylon? You will read and hear a lot of different interpretations of it. My belief is Babylon is symbolic for the False Religion and Political system of the Anti Christ. We are even seeing it today, the False Religion of Babylon has invaded the Christian Church. Many Churches have fallen away from the true gospel and doctrine, Beware!

But even if we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you a gospel contrary to what we have preached to you, he is to be accursed! Galatians 1:8

Then another angel, a third one, followed them, saying with a loud voice, “If anyone worships the beast and his image, and receives a mark on his forehead or on his hand, he also will drink of the wine of the wrath of God, which is mixed in full strength in the cup of His anger; and he will be tormented with fire and brimstone in the presence of the holy angels and in the presence of the Lamb. And the smoke of their torment goes up forever and ever; they have no rest day and night, those who worship the beast and his image, and whoever receives the mark of his name.” Revelation 14:9-11

Here we see a warning from the 3rd and final Angel. Again we are seeing reference to the “Mark of The Beast”, I believe its more of a “spiritual” mark than a physical one. But notice anyone selling out to Satan will be thrown into the Lake of Fire! Be careful who or what you are worshipping or devoting your time to. This entire world is controlled by Satan and his empire Babylon.  Worship the Lord Jesus Christ for your salvation!

And He said to him, “‘YOU SHALL LOVE THE LORD YOUR GOD WITH ALL YOUR HEART, AND WITH ALL YOUR SOUL, AND WITH ALL YOUR MIND.’ Matthew 22:37

Here is the perseverance of the saints who keep the commandments of God and their faith in Jesus. And I heard a voice from heaven, saying, “Write, ‘Blessed are the dead who die in the Lord from now on!'” “Yes,” says the Spirit, “so that they may rest from their labors, for their deeds follow with them.”Revelation 14:12-13

The key word for Christians left behind is “Endure”! Keep the commandments of God , Keep your Faith in Jesus Christ! God never promised are journey as Christians will be easy, but he did promise us ultimate victory in his Kingdom for eternity!

But the one who endures to the end, he will be saved Matthew 24:13

Then I looked, and behold, a white cloud, and sitting on the cloud was one like a son of man, having a golden crown on His head and a sharp sickle in His hand. Then another angel came from the Temple and shouted to the one sitting on the cloud, “Swing the sickle, for the time of harvest has come; the crop on earth is ripe.” Then He who sat on the cloud swung His sickle over the earth, and the earth was reaped. Revelation 14:14-16

The Harvest is Here! The Son of Man (Jesus Christ) is coming with his angels to remove any remaining Christians from the Earth. Jesus is preparing for the Final Judgement of the Earth, the moment has finally arrived, don’t be left behind!

 

Then He said to His disciples, “The harvest is plentiful, but the workers are few. Matthew 9:37

 

And another angel came out of the temple which is in heaven, and he also had a sharp sickle. Then another angel, the one who has power over fire, came out from the altar; and he called with a loud voice to him who had the sharp sickle, saying, “Put in your sharp sickle and gather the clusters from the vine of the earth, because her grapes are ripe.” Revelation 14:17-18

The symbolism of a harvest of grapes is key to understand the wrath and devastation of the wicked. Picture grapes being put through a winepress, this is the scene about to happen here on Earth

 

Put in the sickle, for the harvest is ripe. Come, tread, for the wine press is full; The vats overflow, for their wickedness is great. Joel 3:13

So the angel swung his sickle to the earth and gathered the clusters from the vine of the earth, and threw them into the great wine press of the wrath of God. And the wine press was trodden outside the city, and blood came out from the wine press, up to the horses’ bridles, for a distance of two hundred miles. Revelation 14:19-20

 

Notice the symbolism of Gods Wrath here, Blood came up to the horses bridle. Meaning the amount of blood from all the corpses was deep enough to come up to the horses mouth (probably 5 feet deep)! And the river of blood flows 200 miles!

The wrath of God is real and coming! Make sure you are saved by the blood of Jesus Christ!

 

“But who can endure the day of His coming? And who can stand when He appears? For He is like a refiner’s fire and like fullers’ soap. Micah 3:2

Have You Forgotten?

Has a nation changed gods When they were not gods? But My people have changed their glory For that which does not profit. Jeremiah 2:11

Israel has forgotten everything God has done for them during the Exodus, he provided them “Heavenly Manna” and “Living Water” in the desert when they had nothing. He kept them all from harm and getting ill, he even kept their clothes from wearing out. He fulfilled his promise of delivering them to the Promise Land (Israel) yet they total forgot

Israel began worshipping false idols and gods, they began practicing abominations and sorcery. What could these false gods provide for them that the true living God (Yahweh) hasn’t provided? As God says “they changed their glory for that which does not profit”!

How much severer punishment do you think he will deserve who has trampled under foot the Son of God, and has regarded as unclean the blood of the covenant by which he was sanctified, and has insulted the Spirit of grace? Hebrews 10:29

Fast forward to Jesus and his Bride (Church) Have You forgotten everything Christ has done for You at the Cross? Yet we continue to live in the world , worship our false idols (musicians, actors, athletes), we make money our new god, we have trampled on the blood of Christ.

Just like Israel forgot what God did for them, don’t forget what God has done for You through Jesus Christ! Don’t insult the Holy Spirit by following Sin, flee from Evil and Satan, surrender to our Lord and God Jesus Amen!

Endure

They will fight against you, but they will not overcome you, for I am with you to deliver you,” declares the LORD. Jeremiah 1:19

God called Jeremiah to preach to the people, but notice God didn’t say this was going to easy, God didn’t say this was going to be fun. God said “They will fight against You”. Notice God is not promising any prosperity for Jeremiah. God is telling Jeremiah get ready your going to be persecuted

However God makes a great promise “They will not overcome You”. Even though our task or battle may seem hopeless or scary, God is not going to allow us to be defeated! If its Gods will, then he will see it through. If we go and do our own will, then that’s a different story

You will be hated by all because of My name, but the one who endures to the end, he will be saved. Mark 13:13

Jesus taught us the same thing, Everyone will hate us because of the name of Jesus. If you ever went out to talked or preached the gospel , you are going to face strong resistance. The world is Anti-Christ, the world has an agenda, the world doesn’t want anyone to be saved. So despite the resistance we must still preach the gospel so everyone has the opportunity to come to Christ

Notice Jesus promise to us “Those who endure will be Saved”  So even if your journey is difficult right now, even if your being persecuted Endure in Jesus Name Amen!

Hour Has Come

And Jesus answered them, saying, “The hour has come for the Son of Man to be glorified. John 12:23

There are many people and groups who identify themselves as Christians, yet they refuse to worship Jesus Christ. They have no problem accepting his atoning blood on the cross for their sins, but when it comes to glorifying and worshiping him, they refuse. Let me tell you, if you refuse to worship Christ you are not a Christian, therefor your not saved or born again

The Greeks have come to Jerusalem to meet Jesus, they came to worship him. Jesus didn’t deny them instead he said “The hour has come to glorify the Son of Man (Christ)” Jesus was prophesying about his own crucifixion , which would be the atoning sacrifice for our sins

“He who loves his life loses it, and he who hates his life in this world will keep it to life eternal. John 12:25

But it will cost you a price, you must lose your old life to gain your new eternal life. You must repent and give up your sins, you must give up your love for this world, and become a new creation. You cant be Born Again if your still living in the same old sin. Your life was bought with the blood of Jesus Christ

If anyone serves Me, he must follow Me; and where I am, there My servant will be also; if anyone serves Me, the Father will honor him. John 12:26

If you want to get to God the Father, you must go through God the Son. Often people try to bypass the Son and go straight to the Father, you are not worthy to stand before the Father. Only by the blood of Jesus Christ, and the baptism of the Holy Spirit, can you stand in the presence of the Father

Jesus said Nobody comes to the Father except through Me (Christ) The hour has come, worship in Jesus name Amen!

Modern Day Pharisee

“If we let Him go on like this, all men will believe in Him, and the Romans will come and take away both our place and our nation.” John 11:48

The religious leaders were perplexed with Jesus. If they continue to allow him to teach the truth about God and demonstrate the miracles and powers of God, nobody will follow their religion anymore. If nobody follows their religion anymore, then they will all lose their positions and big salaries.

Think about this, this is exactly why they rejected Christ. It wasn’t about truth or seeking God, it was about money and power. This is exactly what religion is still about today, money and power. “Modern Day Pharisees” are denying the Word of God to please the culture of society today. Its not about serving Jesus its about power and money. Its all about feeding the religious machine of human greed

Then Jesus said to His disciples, “If anyone wishes to come after Me, he must deny himself, and take up his cross and follow Me. Matthew 16:24

Jesus message is pretty clear “Get over yourself!” The religious leaders greatest failure is they couldn’t get over themselves to believe in Christ. They loved their power, they loved their money, their loved their sin, they loved themselves! Jesus isn’t interested in feeding your ego or wallet, he came to give you salvation. You must deny yourself first, repent, and accept Jesus Christ as Lord.

Don’t be a Modern Day Pharisee who decided it was better to kill the Son of God then repent of their sins. Jesus is offering you salvation, humble yourself and come to Christ Amen!

Revelation Chapter 13

And the dragon stood on the sand of the seashore. Then I saw a beast coming up out of the sea, having ten horns and seven heads, and on his horns were ten diadems, and on his heads were blasphemous names And the beast which I saw was like a leopard, and his feet were like those of a bear, and his mouth like the mouth of a lion. And the dragon gave him his power and his throne and great authority. Revelation 13:1-2

We begin this scene with seeing the “Trinity of Satan” (Satan (Dragon), AntiChrist (Nations), and False Prophet (Beast) We notice throughout the Bible, Satan try’s to copy or mimic God to fool the masses. The Ten Horns are the Ten Nations in unity against God. The Seven Heads are kings/leaders over time who wages war against God. We can speculate who all the nations and leaders are, we have a good idea who most of them are. But the point is to focus on the Anti Christ is a collective force of Evil, the Prophet Daniel had this same vision (Read Daniel Chapter 7)

And four great beasts were coming up from the sea, different from one another. Daniel 7:3

I saw one of his heads as if it had been slain, and his fatal wound was healed. And the whole earth was amazed and followed after the beast; they worshiped the dragon because he gave his authority to the beast; and they worshiped the beast, saying, “Who is like the beast, and who is able to wage war with him?” Revelation 13:3-4

One of the Evil world leaders will be fatally wounded and then miracously recover. This will fool the masses , and a majority of the world will be misled into worshipping Satan. Notice again, Satan tries to copy God but mimicking the resurrection

‘I will ascend above the heights of the clouds; I will make myself like the Most High.’ Isaiah 14:14

There was given to him a mouth speaking arrogant words and blasphemies, and authority to act for forty-two months was given to him. And he opened his mouth in blasphemies against God, to blaspheme His name and His tabernacle, that is, those who dwell in heaven. Revelation 13:5-6

The Beast will continue to speak Blasphemy against God. And God will allow this to go on for almost 2 years of the Great Tribulation. Notice it says “ The Beast will speak blasphemy against those who dwell in Heaven” so there are already Christians in Heaven with God at this time

He will speak out against the Most High and wear down the saints of the Highest One, and he will intend to make alterations in times and in law; and they will be given into his hand for a time, times, and half a time. Daniel 7:25

It was also given to him to make war with the saints and to overcome them, and authority over every tribe and people and tongue and nation was given to him. All who dwell on the earth will worship him, everyone whose name has not been written from the foundation of the world in the book of life of the Lamb who has been slain. Revelation 13:7-8

Looks like there will be a short time of false hope for Satan and his followers. Any Christian who is left at this time will be killed. Everyone who is left on the Earth at this point is worshipping Satan and condemned!

But make no mistake about it, we are already victorious through Christ! Christians may need to endure suffering, persecution, maybe even death. However we have the final Victory!

May they be blotted out of the book of life And may they not be recorded with the righteous. Psalm 69:28

If anyone has an ear, let him hear. If anyone is destined for captivity, to captivity he goes; if anyone kills with the sword, with the sword he must be killed. Here is the perseverance and the faith of the saints. Revelation 13:9-10

Here Jesus is giving a final message to the Saints! Persecution on a great scale is coming, most likely death. However whatever happens to us , let it be done, because we are already free and victorious with Christ!

“Then they will deliver you to tribulation, and will kill you, and you will be hated by all nations because of My name. Matthew 24:9

Then I saw another beast coming up out of the earth; and he had two horns like a lamb and he spoke as a dragon. He exercises all the authority of the first beast in his presence. And he makes the earth and those who dwell in it to worship the first beast, whose fatal wound was healed. He performs great signs, so that he even makes fire come down out of heaven to the earth in the presence of men. Revelation 13:11-13

Notice this Beast (False Prophet) will look like a Lamb (Christ) This False Prophet will deceive the entire world and get everyone to worship Satan. Notice Satan tries to copy God again by performing miracles to deceive the masses

For many will come in My name, saying, ‘I am the Christ,’ and will mislead many. Matthew 24:5

And he deceives those who dwell on the earth because of the signs which it was given him to perform in the presence of the beast, telling those who dwell on the earth to make an image to the beast who had the wound of the sword and has come to life. And it was given to him to give breath to the image of the beast, so that the image of the beast would even speak and cause as many as do not worship the image of the beast to be killed. Revelation 13:14-15

Notice this miracle performed by the False Prophet, a statue of Satan will be made and the False Prophet will make it come to life. The entire world will be deceived and worship Satan.

This is a good reminder that not all spiritual power comes from God, as the Bible tells us “Test all Spirits to see if they are from God”

that is, the one whose coming is in accord with the activity of Satan, with all power and signs and false wonders, 2 Thessalonians 2:9

Beloved, do not believe every spirit, but test the spirits to see whether they are from God, because many false prophets have gone out into the world. 1 John 4:1

And he causes all, the small and the great, and the rich and the poor, and the free men and the slaves, to be given a mark on their right hand or on their forehead, and he provides that no one will be able to buy or to sell, except the one who has the mark, either the name of the beast or the number of his name. Here is wisdom. Let him who has understanding calculate the number of the beast, for the number is that of a man; and his number is six hundred and sixty-six. Revelation 13:16-18

What is the Mark of The Beast? This subject has been highly debated for centuries. Obviously we are living in the technological age, so it could be a microchip implant. However I believe the “Mark” is your alliance in your heart, mind, and soul to Satan.

As Christians we are sealed by the Holy Spirit, covered by the blood of Jesus Christ, those who follow Satan will probably be marked by Satan. I believe its more of a spiritual thing than a physical thing.

Who is 666? Remember the number 6 is symbolic for man, three 6’s is the Trinity of Satan (Satan, Anti-Christ, False Prophet) Its most likely not one individual by the entire evil empire of Satan
