Blessed is the one who comes in the name of the LORD; We have blessed you from the house of the LORD. Psalm 118:26
Most of us know this scripture from Jesus triumph entrance into the city of Jerusalem before Passover. Everyone was rejoicing and screaming “Hosanna”. This should be the same reaction we have during Christmas. We are celebrating and worshiping the new born King who has come in the name of God
From a theological perspective is Gods name in Jesus? The answer is yes. God the Fathers name in Hebrew is Yahweh (YHWH) which in English is translated Jehovah. Jesus full Hebrew name is Yahoshua which eventually was shortened to Yeshua (Jesus). This would be the same as Joshua being shortened to Josh. But notice the Yah in the Hebrew name of the Father and Son. This shows you how the Father Gods name is in the Sons name. The name Jesus (Yeshua) means “Salvation of God”
Blessed is the one (Jesus) who comes in the name of The Lord (God)
When we call upon the name of Jesus we are also glorifying God the Father. This was no mistake as Jesus said “I and the Father are One “ (John 10:30) So this Christmas just as the Jews celebrated Jesus entrance into Jerusalem, lets rejoice Jesus entrance into this world in which he saved us from our sins. “Hosanna Glory to God in the highest in Jesus Name Amen!
