No Pain No Gain

No discipline seems pleasant at the time, but painful. Later on, however, it produces a harvest of righteousness and peace for those who have been trained by it. Hebrews 12:11

As the old saying goes “ No Pain, No Gain, this can also describe how God sometimes disciplines us to prepare and train us for his glory. Just like a parent when you were growing up, would discipline you when you were doing something or about to do something dumb or wrong. At first it made you angry that your parents would discipline you, but as we get older and look back at what they were trying to prevent or save us from, we are thankful.

This is the same with God. He is our Heavenly Father and if submit yourself to his will, he will try to guide our steps and prevent us from missing our higher callings. Think about Jonah, God called him to preach to the city of Nineveh. But Jonah had no interest in saving these people and decided to go the other direction instead. By Gods discipline Jonah eventually ended up in the belly of a Whale for 3 days to ponder his life choices. Once Jonah realized his higher calling, he was released from the whale and went to Nineveh and saved the people from Gods judgement.

If it wasn’t for Gods discipline, Jonah would have missed his higher calling and everyone in Nineveh would have been destroyed by Gods judgment. But through discipline Jonah was prepared for Gods harvest and saved many lives  through their repentance.

Maybe God is discipline you today, don’t try and run away like Jonah. Answer Gods higher calling and he will prepare you for the harvest of righteousness in Jesus Name Amen

30 Pieces

And the LORD said to me, “Throw it to the potter”–the handsome price at which they valued me! So I took the thirty pieces of silver and threw them to the potter at the house of the LORD. Zechariah 11:13
What is Jesus worth to you? As prophesied more than 5 centuries before Jesus was born, God was valued at only 30 pieces of silver! 30 pieces of silver today is only worth about $600, so imagine selling your soul for less than a thousand dollars. It might buy you some pleasure today but give you eternal damnation!
This prophecy was obviously fulfilled by Judas, who sold out the Son of God for only 30 pieces of silver. What makes this so shocking was Judas was in the inner circle of Christ. He was one of the original 12 disciples, he witnessed the miracles performed, he was taught directly by The Lord himself, all the mysteries of Gods Kingdom revealed. Yet he still was overcome by his own greed and temptation to sell his own soul.
Many of us today are living like Judas. We know the story of Jesus, we know what he did for us on the hill at Calvary. But we still decide to fulfill our own lusts and addictions, even though we know it will cost us our soul. Don’t condemn yourself like Judas. Resist the devil and he will flee from you! Be strong in The Lord and gain eternal life in Jesus Name Amen!

Be Alert!

Be alert and of sober mind. Your enemy the devil prowls around like a roaring lion looking for someone to devour. 1 Peter 5:8

When is the world going to wake up from their slumber? We see the evil acts going on everyday around the world, but everyone is still in denial. Denial about the real cause or root of all evil. We need to remember Satan controls the world (1 John 5:19) And him and his demons are looking to devour, meaning destroy , everyone in his path!

This is why we must remain Alert and Sober minded; unfortunately the world is drunk on Sin. Satan seduces everyone with his traps such as alcohol, drugs, pornography, gambling, ect. He keeps everyone in chains to their sin and eventually your mind is no longer sober.

This is why we need to fix our eyes on Jesus and not this world (Hebrews 12:2) We are in a Spiritual Warfare and your only hope for survival is Christ. Don’t fall for the traps of Satan, his agenda is clear to rob , steal, and kill (John 10:10)

Be strong in The Lord, stay alert and sober minded in the Holy Spirit. Don’t allow Satan to devour you and use you as another casualty, trust in The Lord, because he is our strength and shield in Jesus Name Amen

Spiritual Warfare

For our struggle is not against flesh and blood, but against the rulers, against the authorities, against the powers of this dark world and against the spiritual forces of evil in the heavenly realms. Ephesians 6:12

Turning on the news this morning I was in shock and horror as probably most of you. But what made it worse was my 7 year old happened to see the news also, and broke down crying in fear of his life also. Even though we live far away from the tragedy, the reality is real we are all against an evil force that is not human but demonic

Many people want to deny Gods existence, they deny the existence of angels or demons, they even deny the existence of your own soul. But they can’t explain what drives humans to do unthinkable acts of evil which only purpose is to kill and destroy life

Everyone needs to come to the realization we are in a Spiritual Warfare. The struggle is real, God wants to save your soul and Satan wants to destroy it. The question is which side will you chose? Many people get caught in the crossfire or become casualties of this war.

But as Jesus said “Don’t fear the one who can kill the body, fear the one who can destroy the body and soul (Matthew 10:28 ) Meaning Satan can torture us , sometimes he might even take our life. But our soul belongs to Jesus Christ and if your covered by his blood, nobody can destroy your soul.

There is only one hope to this Spiritual Warfare and its Jesus Christ, choose Christ and choose eternal life in Jesus Name  Amen

Faith Is Hope

Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see. Hebrews 11:1

Throughout The Bible God talks a lot about having faith, but what does that truly mean? Jesus said if you had faith the size of a mustard seed we can move mountains (Matthew 17:20) So is this literal or symbolic? Throughout The Bible and through our own lives we have seen how our faith has moved mountains.

For example when Moses came to the Red Sea, did it just part because he believed in God or did he display his faith first? He displayed his faith first by raising his staff to God, this activated Gods miracle. You see we can tell people we have faith, but if we never display that faith, is it true?

Its like that old saying “If a tree falls in a forest and nobody hears it does it make a sound”, if you never display your faith in God, how does anyone know or even yourself know you truly have faith. Faith is when we are tested and thrown into the fire (so to speak)

Just as the Hebrew men were thrown into the fiery furnace because they refused to bow down to a false god, they displayed their faith and God delivered them. Did these men know for sure what would happen? No but its faith that is the confidence in what we hope for!

When we truly have faith, we have the confidence in Gods will, we put it in his hands and say “Let your will be done in Jesus Name Amen
