Hear His Voice

So, as the Holy Spirit says: “Today, if you hear his voice, do not harden your hearts as you did in the rebellion, during the time of testing in the wilderness, Hebrews 3:7-8

When God is calling you, do you listen or just ignore him? The Holy Spirit is telling us today, listen to God and humble yourself before The Lord. Stop making excuses why you can’t or why it won’t work it. Listen to the voice of God with obedience.

God delivered the Israelites from 400 years of slavery and was leading them to “The Promise Land”, however despite all the victories and miracles God performed. The Israelites hardened their hearts, they complained about everything God had provided them even saying they would rather be slaves to Egypt.

What happened? They didn’t trust in God with all their hearts. They heard his voice but hardened their hearts with everything he told them. They didn’t realize the journey was only temporary but “The Promise Land” was eternal. Isnt a little suffering worth eternity?

The Holy Spirit is trying to guide you today to listen to Gods voice, don’t harden your heart. Do be rebellious like the Israelites, listen with obedience and know that Gods Kingdom is eternal. You may have to suffer a little now, or give up some temporary pleasures. But God is leading you and preparing you for his eternal kingdom in Jesus Name Amen

Call To God

‘Call to Me and I will answer you, and I will tell you great and mighty things, which you do not know.’
Jeremiah 33:3

If you had one lifeline to call, who would it be? Do you ever turn to God first? Almost seems like a no-brainer to turn to the Creator of the Heaven and Earth. But most people don’t even think about God, in fact most people only pray when there is a tragedy.

God wants a relationship with you! He wants you to call on him and trust him. He promises to show you great and might things that nobody knows. Since the beginning of Creation, everyone is still trying to figure out how life began or the solar system was formed. God already gave us these answers!

The fact is nobody can deny an “Intelligent Designer”, nobody can say that everything just randomly happened or created itself. Its mathematically impossible and not scientifically supported. Everything was designed and made for a purpose by your Heavenly Father including You!

“Ask, and it will be given to you; seek, and you will find; knock, and it will be opened to you. Matthew 7:7

Jesus taught us to keep on asking, keep on knocking on Gods door. He will open the gates of knowledge and wisdom, human minds can’t comprehend. Don’t minimize God or put him in a box, Call to him and he will show you great and might things in Jesus Name Amen

#Unashamed

Both the one who makes people holy and those who are made holy are of the same family. So Jesus is not ashamed to call them brothers and sisters. Hebrews 2:11

We talk a lot about professing our faith, not being ashamed to declare Jesus Christ is Lord. However Jesus is not ashamed of us also. Remember even when we were still sinners Christ was willing to die for us, its important not to forget Jesus loved you before you even knew him.

Being a Christian in todays world, a lot of times we don’t feel a lot of love from people. Its important to remember God is with us and he is not ashamed to call us his children. Through Christ we have become anointed and set apart. Whatever the world may think of you because of your faith, Jesus is proud to be your Shepherd, your King and Savior.

Whoever acknowledges me before others, I will also acknowledge before my Father in heaven. Matthew 10:32

Just as Jesus is proud and unashamed of us, we need to be unashamed of Jesus. What does that mean? We need to profess our faith openly without being afraid of the consequences. We shouldn’t just conform to the ways of this world to please people. Transform yourself like Jesus and please your Heavenly Father.

So lift your head up high, take heart knowing that you are loved and redeemed in Jesus Name Amen!

New Covenant

“Behold, days are coming,” declares the LORD, “when I will make a new covenant with the house of Israel and with the house of Judah, Jeremiah 31:31

Over 600 years before Christ was born, the prophet Jeremiah fortold about a “New Covenant” coming from God. “Not a covenant like I made with their ancestors (Jeremiah 31:32) Gods original covenant he made with the Jewish people through Abraham, that they would be his people. “My covenant which they broke, although I was a husband to them,” declares the LORD.” (Jeremiah 31:32) The covenant that the Jewish people broke over and over again even though God had given everything to them.

God even calling himself a “Husband” to Israel. Meaning he was fully committed to the Jewish people, but they cheated on him over and over again. Worshipping false gods and breaking his laws repeatedly. “”I will put My law within them and on their heart I will write it; and I will be their God, and they shall be My people.”(Jeremiah 31:33) God has a redemption plan, not only for Israel, but for the entire world, a “New Covenant” that will bring everyone close to God

And in the same way He took the cup after they had eaten, saying, “This cup which is poured out for you is the new covenant in My blood. Luke 22:20

Fast forward to Jesus Christ, the Son of God who was sent to be the ransom for our sins. His blood that he spilled on the cross at Calvary, is the royal blood that fulfilled Gods “New Covenant”. A covenant not only with the Jewish people but with everyone who calls Jesus Lord.

The days have come, Christ has fulfilled the “New Covenant”, its time for you to become part of Gods chosen people. Choose Christ and have eternal life in Jesus Name Amen

#LaborDay

“Come to Me, all who are weary and heavy-laden, and I will give you rest. Matthew 11:28

Are you felling weary and burdened? Labor Day is a holiday designated to give everyone who works an extra day off for rest. Often times when we get wrapped up in our lives and work, we become overwhelmed and stressed out. When we take a rest, things don’t seem as bad when we come back to them.

This is the same concept God designated us in the beginning with the Sabbath Day. 6 days we should work and the 7th day we are to rest. Why did God require this? Because he knows us better than we know ourselves, he is our Creator. He knows if we don’t take a rest, we will become burned out and overwhelmed.

Fast forward and Jesus has become our rest. At the cross Jesus has taken on all of our sins and burdens. He provides us rest for our soul. The Prince of Peace, gives us his peace because he has overcome the world. But we must not forget to “Come to Jesus”, to take that Sabbath rest with him.

When you refuse to take Gods Rest, you are not only defying God but your hurting yourself physically and spiritually. This Labor Day, while you are relaxing with your family and friends, remember Jesus and what he has done for us on the cross. And remember every Sunday is Labor Day for those who follow Christ in Jesus Name Amen
