What Is Sin?

Everyone who sins breaks the law; in fact, sin is lawlessness. 1 John 3:4

What is Sin? The Biblical definition of Sin is Lawlessness. The definition of Lawlessness is “a state of disorder” Remember Satan is the “lawless one” (2 Thessalonians 2:8) he has come to steal, kill ,and destroy(John 10:10) he doesn’t want law and order , hes wants to destroy your soul.

So when you sin, you are obeying Satan, you are pleasing him with your lawless ways. Because remember sin does not come from God.

When tempted, no one should say, “God is tempting me.” For God cannot be tempted by evil, nor does he tempt anyone; James 1:13

See God doesn’t tempt anyone with sin, Satan tempts everyone and traps them with there lusts and desires. Sin never came from God, Sin was created as a death trap by Satan and was introduced to mankind in the Garden of Eden (Genesis 3)

The world has a sin problem, for we all have sinned and fallen short of the Glory of God (Romans 3:23) and the wages of sin are death (Romans 6:23) God has a problem with sin because its pure lawlessness.

But God sent a solution for our sin, through his only only Son (Jesus) he took the wages of our sins and paid the price. The time is now to repent from your sinful ways for the Kingdom of God is at hand in Jesus Name Amen!

Submit to Authority

“Caesar’s,” they replied. Then he said to them, “So give back to Caesar what is Caesar’s, and to God what is God’s.” Matthew 22:21

Do we submit to authority or rebel against it? When people were asking Jesus about paying taxes, they were hoping he would say don’t pay them. But instead Jesus gave a powerful answer to give back to Caesar (Rome) what belongs to Rome and give to God what belongs to God. Jesus is saying “submit to authority”, even though Jesus is our ultimate King ,there will still be Earthly governments set to in place. We are to respect our government authorities

Many people want to live in a civil and orderly society but they don’t want to submit to their authority leaders, such as the President of the United States. You can’t have it both ways, you can’t expect live in a free nation while displaying anarchy. It is actually unbiblical to display lawlessness Most people don’t realize that all government and rulers are actually setup by God (Romans 13:1) The Bible tells us “let everyone be subject to the governing authorities”

Does that mean we have to agree and or everything the government tells us? No, for example Daniel refused to bow down to a pagen God of Nebuchadnezzar, and was thrown into the blazing fire for the penalty. But because Daniel honored God he was saved and protected by an Angel of The Lord (Daniel 3) We need to learn to just be civil and respectful to our governing authorities, however we don’t have to allow them to disobey God

We should all know that there is only one ultimate King of Kings (Revelation 19:16) where all nations and governments will rest on his shoulders (Isaiah 9:6) and he will rule with a rod of iron (Revelation 2:7)Every knee will bow and tongue will confess, that Jesus Christ is Lord, so prepare for the return on our ultimate King and stay submissive to your current authorities in Jesus Name Amen

The J Bomb

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law–a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ Matthew 10:34-36

If you really want to know what people think about you, drop the J bomb on them. When we mention the word Jesus to people it gets a strong reaction, good or bad. This is exactly what Jesus was talking about when he said he brought a sword. We live in a society that likes to be very “politically correct”, we talk about the weather or maybe sports, anything that is safe. But when we discuss Jesus Christ things get more heated. There are many Christians in the world who are persecuted or even killed for mentioning Jesus, why would the world be so fearful of him? Because the world knows he has already defeated it!

Our Jewish brothers and sisters, refer to his Hebrew name “Yeshua”, you hear of many Jewish Christians testimonies about their families disowning them because they accept Jesus as there Lord and Savior. Jewish families are taught and brought up never to mention the name Jesus or talk about him. Little do they know there entire Tanakh (Old Testament) speaks about Jesus throughout it

Jesus said that everyone will hate you because of him (Matthew 10:22) so the question is are you willing to risk rejection and persecution for your Messiah? We have to not caring about pleasing people and more concerned about pleasing God. Because your either a Christian or an Anti-Christ the choice is yours. God bless!

Do You Confess?

Who is the liar? It is whoever denies that Jesus is the Christ. Such a person is the antichrist–denying the Father and the Son. 1 John 2:22

The word Christ is Greek for Messiah. The definition of Messiah is Savior , anointed One, Son of Living God

Jesus once asked his disciples “Who do you say I am?” and Peter answered correctly that Jesus is the Messiah, the Son of God (Matthew 16:16) Many of us know who Jesus is or heard of him, but who do you say his is to others? What do you believe in your heart and mind? Is Jesus your Lord and Savior?

The confession of Jesus being the Christ (Messiah) is important, because anyone who denies this is an Anti-Christ and the Spirit of Satan lives in you.  Anyone who confesses Jesus is Lord and believe in your heart God raised him from the dead, you will be saved (Romans 10:9) You can’t be saved with the proclamation of Jesus as Christ!

Remember Jesus said “Nobody comes to The Father (God) except through me (Jesus) (John 14:6) If you deny Jesus you also deny God. You can’t say you believe in God and deny his Son Jesus. Without the atonement of Christ, we can’t stand in the presence of our Heavenly Father.

So do you confess Jesus is the Christ (Messiah)? Is he Lord in your heart and mind? Remember there is no middle ground, your either a Christian or an anti-Christ, which do you choose?

Living Sacrifice

Therefore, I urge you, brothers and sisters, in view of God’s mercy, to offer your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and pleasing to God–this is your true and proper worship Romans 12:1

What does it mean to offer your body as a “Living Sacrifice” for God? The definition for Sacrifice is to surrender or offering. The first thing we need to remember is that our bodies are the “Temple of God” (1 Corinthians 3:16) as Christians the Holy Spirit lives inside you to be your Comforter, Advocate, and Counselor. (John 14:26) The Spirit of God can’t dwell in you if your Temple is corrupted.

To offer your body as a “Living Sacrifice” to God is to refrain from using your body to sin. Refrain from drugs, drunkenness, sexual immorality, cursing, ect. If you want to know why you’re not filled with the Holy Spirit, then you need to reevaluate your Temple.

Would you ever go to church drunk, or high, or using profanity? Then why is it acceptable in your Temple of God? The act of being a “Living Sacrifice” to God is to give up the Earthly pleasures of sin and focus on our higher calling in Christ Jesus.

Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewal of your mind, that by testing you may discern what is the will of God, what is good and acceptable and perfect. Romans 12:2

The next verse tells us “Don’t conform to this world”, just because the world is living in immorality, doesn’t mean you have to conform to it. Offer yourself as a pleasing “Living Sacrifice” to God and watch the power of the Holy Spirit transform you in Jesus Name Amen

Fulfillment of The Law

“Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. Matthew 5:17

Did Jesus abolish The Law? The word “abolish” means to end or terminate, so did Jesus really end The Law? First  what is The Law? The Law or Torah are the first 5 Books of The Bible (Genesis, Exodus, Leviticus, Numbers,  and Deuteronomy) that are written instructions given by God handed down to Moses. The Law not only defines what sin is, but also the consequences of sin.

Without The Law there would be no consequences for anyone’s actions. Imagine if your town abolished all its laws, what would happen? There would be anarchy, looting, rioting, probably even murder. This is the same with Gods Law, if he abolished it there would be no consequences for sinners. So it wouldn’t make sense for Jesus to abolish The Law.

Jesus did however “fulfill” The Law. What does this mean? We know from the Bible that the wages of sin is death (Romans 6:23) and we are all sinners (Romans 3:23) therefore if we all lived “Under the Law” we would all be condemned to death. No matter how righteous you believe you are, you are guilty. But on the cross, Jesus became our ransom (1 Timothy 2:6) and took our place of condemnation. As it says God sent his Son (Jesus) born “Under The Law” (Galatians 4:4) Therefore Jesus fulfilled The Law for us.

But if your led by The Spirit, you are not Under The Law (Galatians 5:18) When you truly become a Christian and live for Christ, you no longer live for the flesh but by The Spirit of God. Does The Law still exist? Absolutely, and all those who live by the flesh and reject Christ are condemned under the Law. But all those who call upon the name of Jesus shall be saved (Romans 10:13) Amen!
