Jesus Is Lord

If you declare with your mouth, “Jesus is Lord,” and believe in your heart that God raised him from the dead, you will be saved. For it is with your heart that you believe and are justified, and it is with your mouth that you profess your faith and are saved. Romans 10:9-10

Noticing the importance of declaring Jesus is Lord, when Jesus was on trial with Pontius Pilate he was asked “Are you the King of the Jews?” Jesus replied “Are you asking?” Jesus wanted to know who Pilate believed Jesus was, who was he confessing he was with his mouth. Same when Jesus was with his disciples he asked them, who do you think I am? He wanted to see who they confessed him to be before others.

The second thing you notice about this scripture is the importance of the resurrection. We all know the story of Christ Risen on Easter Sunday, but what do you really believe in your heart? Do you really believe Christ was physically raised from the dead? As Paul taught without the resurrection, Christianity is pointless.

As Scripture says, “Anyone who believes in him will never be put to shame. For there is no difference between Jew and Gentile–the same Lord is Lord of all and richly blesses all who call on him, for, “Everyone who calls on the name of the Lord will be saved.” Romans 10:11-13

God will never leave us or forsake us. We may go thru trials but we can put our trust in Him. But the important thing to notice that the scripture says “Anyone” who believes and “Everyone” who calls on The Lord.

This is important to understand the new covenant created by Jesus at the cross, we are all now Children of God through the blood of Jesus. We can all inherit the Kingdom of God through Christ. Believe in your hearts and declare with your mouth that Jesus is Lord and He is Risen Amen

My Virtuous Wife

Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies. Proverbs 31:10

When we consider the blessings God has given us, do we acknowledge our spouse? Consider Adam who was given the entire world, he had everything but was still not at peace. So God sent him his wife Eve do be his partner and they would live a fruitful life.

God has blessed me with my wife, Heidi, and I thank him every day. There is no greater value or blessing you can receive than true love, that’s why a virtuous wife is worth more than anything the world can give us

The heart of her husband doth safely trust in her, so that he shall have no need of spoil. She will do him good and not evil all the days of her life. Proverbs 31:11-12

Trust is the foundation for any marriage, when you can fully trust someone, its value is far above anything. I totally trust Heidi with all my heart and I know she will always be there to support and encourage me.

Her children arise up, and call her blessed; her husband also, and he praiseth her. Proverbs 31:28

Not only is Heidi an incredible wife but she is an amazing mother. Our children love her so much and we are all blessed to have Heidi. If she is ever not around, our kids continually look and ask for her, because they love their mother very much and she loves them.

We are blessed, I am blessed for God to have given me my virtuous wife Heidi. We have the peace and confidence knowing no matter what storms may come our way, we will endure as a family in Jesus Name Amen

Love Not The World

Love not the world, neither the things that are in the world. If any man love the world, the love of the Father is not in him. 1 John 2:15

Just like when Satan deceived Adam and Eve into falling for the lusts of this world, Satan is also trying to deceive us. He wants you to believe you need money, power, and fame to be special. But you are already famous in Gods eyes. Your Heavenly Father knows your name and every hair on your head.

For all that is in the world, the lust of the flesh, and the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, is not of the Father, but is of the world. 1 John 2:16

As Jesus said the Spirit is strong but the flesh is weak. We must resist the temptations of this world because they are a trap. Once you fall into that trap you may never get back out. Satan uses our lust as the bait. We lust for money, power, sex, possessions, idols, ect. Things that provide temporary satisfaction but death to your soul

And the world passeth away, and the lust thereof: but he that doeth the will of God abideth for ever. 1 John 2:17

As Jesus said what does it profit to gain the whole world and lose your soul? This world is temporary, it will pass away and everything in it. We need to prepare for the eternal life and not the temporary life. It will take some patience and obedience but in the end there is victory through Jesus Christ Amen

Pentecost

And suddenly there came a sound from heaven as of a rushing mighty wind, and it filled all the house where they were sitting. And there appeared unto them cloven tongues like as of fire, and it sat upon each of them. Acts 2:2-3

The day of Pentecost, the day of Gods promised Holy Spirit had arrived. The day that was prophesied by Joel and Jesus has come to pass. God said he would never leave us and he kept his promise thru The Holy Spirit.

But this is that which was spoken by the prophet Joel; And it shall come to pass in the last days, saith God, I will pour out of my Spirit upon all flesh: and your sons and your daughters shall prophesy, and your young men shall see visions, and your old men shall dream dreams: Acts 2:16-17

The prophet Joel foretold about the Holy Spirit over 800 years before the event happened. Jesus also taught us about the coming of the Holy Spirit in John 14. Jesus teaches he will be a comforter, advocate, helper that lives inside us to strength and peace

And it shall come to pass, that whosoever shall call on the name of the Lord shall be saved. Acts 2:21

Jesus fulfilled this prophecy at the cross, he created a new covenant with his blood that everyone who calls upon Jesus as there Lord and Savior shall be saved. God has blessed us not only with this life we have, but then he sent us a Savior and a Comforter

Therefore let all the house of Israel know assuredly, that God hath made that same Jesus, whom ye have crucified, both Lord and Christ. Acts 2:36

During the day of Pentecost Peter gave a great sermon which he explains the prophecy fulfillments of Jesus through David and The Holy Spirit through Joel. Peter was teaching the nation of Israel that Jesus is there Messiah, Lord, and King

I encourage everyone to read the entire Acts Chapter 2 and let the Holy Spirit speak to you also in Jesus Name Amen

Unseen Power

Jesus said to him, Thomas, because you have seen me, you have believed: blessed are they that have not seen, and yet have believed. John 20:29

Why did Jesus say Blessed are those who have not seen but still believed? Because Jesus knows it takes true faith to believe in the unseen. It takes the faith of Moses to part the Red Sea, it takes the faith of David to slay a giant with a sling shot, it takes the faith of Peter to walk on water with Jesus.

When we display this deep faith, it pleases our Heavenly Father and he will move mountains for us, he will fight our battles for us with forces we can’t comprehend

While we look not at the things which are seen, but at the things which are not seen: for the things which are seen are temporal; but the things which are not seen are eternal. 2 Corinthians 4:18

Our human minds we have a tendency to hold on to things of this world because they are known to us. But the things of this world are temporary and not fruitful. When we fix our eyes on Jesus, we fix our minds on the eternal promises delivered to us by our Creator. The promises of hope and victory!

Now faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. Hebrews 11:1

The original greek word in the scripture is “elpis” which not only means hope but means expect. There for this scripture says “Faith is the substance of things expected for” When we have true faith we expect the blessings of God even when we don’t see them

For we walk by faith, not by sight 2 Corinthians 5:7

Walking by faith is the Christian lifestyle, we don’t walk with doubt, fear, defeat, because our God is an awesome God. He spoke the Heavens and Earth into existence, he sent his Son to deliver us from death, and he sent his Holy Spirit to give us “Unseen Power” over are enemies in Jesus Name Amen

Word of God

The grass wither, the flower fades: but the word of our God shall stand for ever. Isaiah 40:8

For the first time in History, The Bible, is on the top 10 list of books to be banned. That’s right to be banned. The Bible has already been removed from our public schools and businesses, eventually The Bible will become illegal to even read. You can read the article here:

http://www.latimes.com/books/jacketcopy/la-et-jc-bible-top-10-challenged-books-2015-20160411-20160411-snap-htmlstory.html

Why is The Bible so feared or offensive to the heathens? Because the Word of God is living and powerful. You don’t read The Bible, it reads you. God speaks to us through the Holy Scriptures passed down for centuries.

For the word of God is quick, and powerful, and sharper than any twoedged sword, piercing even to the dividing asunder of soul and spirit, and of the joints and marrow, and is a discerner of the thoughts and intents of the heart. Hebrews 4:12

There is Power in Gods Word, demons shutter and obey at the name of Jesus. There is wisdom, knowledge, and instruction that you can’t acquire anywhere else. This is why Satan doesn’t want you to read The Bible, to disarm you from his attacks

All scripture is given by inspiration of God, and is profitable for doctrine, for reproof, for correction, for instruction in righteousness: That the man of God may be perfect, throughly furnished unto all good works 2 Timothy 3:16-17

Even though we are living in The Last Days, we are blessed to have The Bible, the living Word of God that gives us hope and victory through Jesus Christ.

Jesus who is The Word became flesh and taught us and revealed the mysteries of God and Heaven. And has given us eternal hope thru his victory at The Cross Amen

Move Mountains

Then came the disciples to Jesus apart, and said, Why could not we cast him out? Matthew 17:19

The disciples were perplexed, they couldn’t understand why they couldn’t cast out the demon like Jesus instructed them. Many times in our own lives we are perplexed also, why hasn’t God answered our prayers? Why hasn’t this obstacle or illness been removed from us?

The disciples were kind of embarrassed about their failure to heal the man, so they talked to Jesus in private about it. Think about it, these men were the chosen disciples of Gods son, and yet they failed to perform the miracle they claim they could. Humility set in on them very quickly

And Jesus said to them, Because of your unbelief: for truly I say to you, If you have faith as a grain of mustard seed, you shall say to this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible to you. Matthew 17:20

Notice the disciples went to Jesus about this problem and asked him why they failed, we need to take the same approach. We need to pray and ask for guidance and wisdom from God when we don’t understand a particular situation.

Jesus answered them and told them they failed because of their lack of faith. How many times do we throw up empty prayers that we really don’t believe there ever going to happen, because of our lack of faith they never will happen.

However what if we do put all our faith and trust in our Heavenly Father, do you really want to see that mountain move?

However, this kind goes not out but by prayer and fasting. Matthew 17:21

Jesus also reminds us that some miracles take deeper faith, God was not going to remove this particular demon based on empty faith. He required deeper prayer and even fasting. Why would God require this? God wants you to show him your trust and obedience. God will fight your battles for you, you just need to give your heart to him. True faith will move mountains in Jesus Name Amen

Eyewitnesses

For we have not followed cunningly devised fables, when we made known unto you the power and coming of our Lord Jesus Christ, but were eyewitnesses of his majesty. 2 Peter 1:16

We need to understand and remember, the Disciples of Christ were eyewitnesses to all the events and miracles that happened. The events and miracles of Jesus were sometimes witnesses to thousands of people at that moment. As Peter said, we can reply and trust on The Bible because the disciples were eyewitnesses to his majesty

For he received from God the Father honour and glory, when there came such a voice to him from the excellent glory, This is my beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased. And this voice which came from heaven we heard, when we were with him in the holy mount. 2 Peter 1:17-18

One of the greatest events, the Transfiguration on The Mount. Peter, James, and John were there with Jesus and witnessed this amazing event. They stood there with Elijah and Moses and heard to voice of God proclaim Jesus is his beloved Son

This moment was so special Jesus told them not to tell anyone till after his resurrection. We can have the faith and confidence knowing that Jesus revealed these things to his disciples who then revealed them to us

We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto ye do well that ye take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the day dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts: Knowing this first, that no prophecy of the scripture is of any private interpretation. For the prophecy came not in old time by the will of man: but holy men of God spake as they were moved by the Holy Ghost. 2 Peter 119-:21

The Bible isn’t just written by men its written by God. The Holy Spirit filled the authors of the Bible and revealed Gods messages and prophecies to us. We can have the faith knowing that all scripture is God breathed and used teaching and instruction in Jesus Name Amen
