Name Above All Names

In your relationships with one another, have the same mindset as Christ Jesus: Philippians 2:5

Jesus commanded us to love one another as he loved us, how much did Jesus love us? He willingly laid down his life for us all, even the people who deny and mock him. It’s important for us to try to achieve this mindset, love just as Christ loves us.

Who, being in very nature God, did not consider equality with God something to be used to his own advantage; rather, he made himself nothing by taking the very nature of a servant, being made in human likeness. Philippians 2:6-7

Even though Jesus was God in the flesh, he lowered himself to be an atonement sacrifice for our sins. He could have easily wiped out the Roman Empire with a snap of his finger but instead he decided to try and save the Romans just like he saved the entire world.

And being found in appearance as a man, he humbled himself by becoming obedient to death– even death on a cross! Philippians 2:8

Jesus was so stressed out about taking the cross that he sweated blood, but he willingly went thru the brutal beating and painful death of the cross to save us from our sins. It’s only because of the obedience and love of Jesus that we have been saved.

Therefore God exalted him to the highest place and gave him the name that is above every name, that at the name of Jesus every knee should bow, in heaven and on earth and under the earth, and every tongue acknowledge that Jesus Christ is Lord, to the glory of God the Father. Philippians 2:9-11

The Name above all Names, Jesus was exalted by God to be King of Kings and sit as his right hand. Every knee shall bow and every tongue will confess Jesus is our Lord and Savior. There is no other name greater than Jesus, exalt him everyday Amen

No Greater Love

Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one’s life for one’s friends. You are my friends if you do what I command.  John 15:13-14

How do we know if someone truly loves them? Words are nice but your actions will truly show how much you love someone. Jesus showed us the greatest act of love, to lay down his life for us. How can anyone put that deep of love into words?

Its just like a woman sacrificing her body to give birth to her child, is there any greater act of love that a mother could display than this? These sacrifices are acts of love, there is no greater love than this

I no longer call you servants, because a servant does not know his master’s business. Instead, I have called you friends, for everything that I learned from my Father I have made known to you. John 15:15

Jesus doesn’t see us as servants, as failures, he calls us his friends. How many people do you personally call your friend? And how many of them would you willingly lay down your life for?

In todays world we use the terms love and friend very loosely, but Jesus takes them very serious. Isn’t great to know you have a friend in Jesus who sacrificed everything for you?

You did not choose me, but I chose you and appointed you so that you might go and bear fruit–fruit that will last–and so that whatever you ask in my name the Father will give you. John 15:16

What’s even more amazing is Jesus comes to us, we don’t have to travel great distants or go thru great lengths to get to Jesus, he is with us. He sent us the Holy Spirit after his ascension to guide and comfort us.

Remember the story of Disciples, after Jesus died on the cross, Peter denied Jesus and thought he left him forever. But after Jesus rose from the dead, he went to visit Peter on the shore. Jesus came looking for Peter, just as he looks for us also.

This is my command: Love each other. John 15:17

Jesus has taught us what it truly means to love, now let’s follow his commandment to Love each other just as Christ loves us. When the world lets you down, remember what Jesus has already done for you, there is no great love in Jesus Name Amen.

Comfort of Christ

“Do not let your hearts be troubled. You believe in God; believe also in me.” John 14:1

Jesus is preparing his disciples for his departure; he’s telling them just because he’s not living here on Earth anymore he’s alive in Heaven waiting for them.

This is great comfort, not only knowing that Jesus is alive and waiting for us but also  Jesus reveals a little about Heaven and what we can expect on our journey there.

My Father’s house has many rooms; if that were not so, would I have told you that I am going there to prepare a place for you? John 14:2

Jesus is telling us Heaven has plenty of room for us; you won’t be turned away by lack of vacancy. Jesus promised to his followers he is going to prepare a place for you, question is are you one of his followers?

And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come back and take you to be with me that you also may be where I am. John 14:3

Not only has Jesus giving us eternal life, promised to prepare a place for us in Heaven, but also he promises to come get you on that day to your Heavenly destination.

God has promised to never leave us or forsake us and he is holding on to that promise. When you leave this Earth , Jesus is coming for you, just as he promised.

“You know the way to the place where I am going. Thomas said to him, “Lord, we don’t know where you are going, so how can we know the way? Jesus answered, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.” John 14:4-6

Do you know the way to Heaven? If your not sure don’t feel bad because Jesus disciples were not sure. But Jesus clarifies it that he is the only way to Heaven. We are not worthy to stand before God without being washed in the blood of Jesus.

If you lost a loved one or are worried about the future, take comfort in the words of Jesus. He has laid down his life for you and he has prepared a place for you, trust in Jesus and don’t let your heart be troubled anymore Amen

His Love Endures Forever

For the LORD is good and his love endures forever; his faithfulness continues through all generations. Psalms 100:5

Being a parent, we all have times when our children are being disobedient and disobeying our commands. Although we become angry at first, we quickly forgive because we love our children and our love endures forever for them.

This is the same with our Heavenly Father, there are many times we disobey his commands and probably sometimes we might even anger him, but his promise and love endures forever. We are his children and he loves us that much.

Praise be to the God and Father of our Lord Jesus Christ! In his great mercy he has given us new birth into a living hope through the resurrection of Jesus Christ from the dead, and into an inheritance that can never perish, spoil or fade. This inheritance is kept in heaven for you, 1 Peter 1:3-4

Gods love and mercy was displayed by the sacrifice of our Lord Jesus. A love that is so great it could never be matched. And this love will endure forever as you are washed by the Blood of The Lamb. We love God because he loved us first. His covenant will endure forever.

For we do not have a high priest who is unable to empathize with our weaknesses, but we have one who has been tempted in every way, just as we are–yet he did not sin. Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. Hebrews 4:15-16

Many times when our children have done something wrong they will try to hide or hide it from us, for fear we won’t understand what they did. When in fact we usually know what they did before they even did it.

This is the same with God, many are afraid to approach him with there sin or think how could God ever understand me. The fact is Jesus was God in the Flesh, he knows the trials and temptations of being human.. He knows exactly who you are and how it feels to be you. So just like a parent, don’t be afraid to approach him for his love and mercy does endure forever.

Give thanks to the LORD, for he is good; his love endures forever. 1 Chronicles 16:34

So give thanks to God everyday for his love and mercy endures forever. And apply this to your everyday life, learn to love and forgive just as God loves and forgives you in Jesus Name Amen

Where is your treasure?

Unashamed of Jesus's avatarUnashamed of Jesus

For where your treasure is, there will your heart be also. Matthew 6:21

Where is your treasure?  Is your treasure at work chasing money or at home with your family? Is your treasure in the world chasing your dreams or are you on your knees chasing Jesus?

What we make our priorities becomes our obsession. We need to be careful who or what we make our top priority because we often neglect the things that are really valuable.

Treasure– something that is very special, important, valuable

When you hear the word treasure, we often think of a case full of gold. But we need to realize what our true treasure is, the gifts that God blessed us with.

(Proverbs 31:10) “Who can find a virtuous woman? for her price is far above rubies.”

I am blessed with a wonderful wife and kids. That is where my treasure is. My…
