Run For The Prize

Do you not know that in a race all the runners run, but only one gets the prize? Run in such a way as to get the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:24

Do you give everything your best effort or just do the bare minimum to get by? We are all in a race, and it’s a race against time. Nobody knows how long we have on the Earth, that’s why we should approach everyday and every moment with urgency and importance as we prepare for Gods Kingdom.

Everyone who competes in the games goes into strict training. They do it to get a crown that will not last, but we do it to get a crown that will last forever. 1 Corinthians 9:25

Practice makes perfect, this is the same with our faith. The more we study the Bible and practice the ways of God, the stronger and smarter we become as Christians. Nobody can graduate from school without studying, the same is with God, nobody can understand God without studying his Word.

Therefore I do not run like someone running aimlessly; I do not fight like a boxer beating the air.  1 Corinthians 9:26

It’s important we strive to do and best the best we can. When you make a commitment to Christ, you have committed yourself. Put your whole heart into your faith and Jesus will change your heart forever.

No, I strike a blow to my body and make it my slave so that after I have preached to others, I myself will not be disqualified for the prize. 1 Corinthians 9:27

Professional athletes don’t become pros by not committing themselves or practicing. They live for there craft, just like you should live for your Lord. Don’t  be lazy, live with a passion.

We are preparing and living for the greatest prize of all, the crown of life. Be ready, prepare yourself to stand before The Lord , Run the Race in Jesus Name Amen

God Is Calling

Nevertheless, each person should live as a believer in whatever situation the Lord has assigned to them, just as God has called them. This is the rule I lay down in all the churches. 1 Corinthians 7:17

We all have different callings, God has giving each of us different talents and skills, therefor we all have different expertise and careers.  Whatever God has called you to do, use this opportunity to do his will and be an example of Christ.

Was a man already circumcised when he was called? He should not become uncircumcised. Was a man uncircumcised when he was called? He should not be circumcised. Circumcision is nothing and uncircumcision is nothing. Keeping God’s commands is what counts. 1 Corinthians 7-18-19

Thru the blood of Jesus the new covenant was established, meaning we are all now Gods people thru Jesus Christ not just Israel. No matter who you are or where your from, Jesus died for you and has created a new covenant for you with God.

Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. 1 Corinthians 7:20

Many times in life we become impatient or discouraged with our current job or situation. We need to remember God has brought us where we need to be. God brings us to certain people or situations for a reason and we need to be patient and wait for his will and not follow our own.

Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you–although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings 1 Corinthians 7:21-23

No matter how bad the situation or circumstances are, you are free thru Jesus Christ. He is the only one who has the power and authority to redeem. With him there is hope for the hopeless. Because the one that is in you is greater than he that is in the world.

Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. 1 Corinthians 7:24

Wherever you are, God has put you there for a reason. Instead of being discouraged, stay alert and answer the calling God has giving you. Whatever you do , do it all for the Glory of God in Jesus Name Amen

Servants of Christ

This, then, is how you ought to regard us: as servants of Christ and as those entrusted with the mysteries God has revealed. 1 Corinthians 4:1
When people hear the word servant, our human pride gets all upset. But the word servant in the Bible also means “minister” as in Numbers 11:28 Joshua was a servant for Moses.
However as Jesus said Nobody can serve two masters, so your either serving God or serving Satan, there is no in between. Jesus willingly laid down his life for us, won’t you be willing to do the same for him?
Now it is required that those who have been given a trust must prove faithful. I care very little if I am judged by you or by any human court; indeed, I do not even judge myself. 1 Corinthians 4:2-3
We answer to a higher authority than man. Follow the Laws of God and not the Laws Man has deemed acceptable. Judgement is also not ours. Jesus has appointed the authority by God as King of Kings. He is worthy to judge we are not.
My conscience is clear, but that does not make me innocent. It is the Lord who judges me. 1 Corinthians 4:4
Are you prepared to stand before the Lord on Judgement day? If not repent and ask for mercy, for the Blood of Jesus redeems us. We are all sinners and have fallen short to the Glory of God, renew yourself with Jesus.
Therefore judge nothing before the appointed time; wait until the Lord comes. He will bring to light what is hidden in darkness and will expose the motives of the heart. At that time each will receive their praise from God. 1 Corinthians 4:5
Jesus came to save the world and not condemn it, we must live like Christ and be merciful and loving like him. The Lord knows the evil of this world and he will judge accordingly in due time. It’s our job to lead people to Christ, not condemn them.
What will it take for you to serve Jesus? Does he need to die for you? Does he need to wash your feet? Does he need to forgive you? He has done all this and more, serve the Lord and not this world in Jesus Name Amen

You Are Gods Temple

Don’t you know that you yourselves are God’s temple and that God’s Spirit dwells in your midst? 1 Corinthians 3:16

When Jesus said he was going to raise the temple up in 3 days, everyone thought he was crazy. That’s because they thought he was talking about the physical temple but what he really was referring to was the resurrection. We are the temple of God, you are sacred washed by the blood of Christ.

If anyone destroys God’s temple, God will destroy that person; for God’s temple is sacred, and you together are that temple. 1 Corinthians 3:17

Blessed are those who are persecuted because of righteousness, for theirs is the kingdom of Heaven. Our God is a just God, no crime will go unpunished. Those who are persecuting Christians and children will receive the wrath of God on judgement day.

Do not deceive yourselves. If any of you think you are wise by the standards of this age, you should become “fools” so that you may become wise. 1 Corinthians 3:18

Professing themselves to be wise they became fools, nobody can truly comprehend the greatness of God. Stop pretending you know all the answers, because nobody does. Humility is the beginning of wisdom. They say you can’t teach an old dog new tricks, well maybe that old dog needs to be reborn.

Jesus answered them, “Destroy this temple, and I will raise it again in three days.” John 2:19

When Jesus said this he shocked an entire nation, they hated and feared him, because they didn’t understand what he was saying. Don’t lean on your own understanding, trust in God he has a bigger plan.

Thru Jesus we are the temple of God, we have been reborn and transformed. It’s important your treat yourself this way and keep it holy. You are a reflection of Christ, let the world see him thru you in Jesus name Amen

Jesus Christ Our Foundation

By the grace God has given me, I laid a foundation as a wise builder, and someone else is building on it. But each one should build with care. For no one can lay any foundation other than the one already laid, which is Jesus Christ. 1 Corinthians 3:10-11

No matter who you are, eventually your life will be rocked by significant event. The foundation that your standing on will determine your outcome. When we foolishly build on sand, eventually the storms of life come in and we sink, but when we build on the rock we can withstand any storm.

If anyone builds on this foundation using gold, silver, costly stones, wood, hay or straw, their work will be shown for what it is, because the Day will bring it to light. It will be revealed with fire, and the fire will test the quality of each person’s work. 1 Corinthians 3:12-13

Many believe money will buy them a false sense of security, but green paper won’t save your life. There is only who can save and that’s our Lord Jesus. Don’t build your life on false idols, build your life on a solid foundation.

If what has been built survives, the builder will receive a reward. If it is burned up, the builder will suffer loss but yet will be saved–even though only as one escaping through the flames. 1 Corinthians 3:14-15

There will be fire and trials in life, but it will only make you stronger, the testing of your faith produces perseverance.  Those who have deep roots of faith can withstand the storms, but those who faith is shallow will collapse at the first trial.

“Therefore everyone who hears these words of mine and puts them into practice is like a wise man who built his house on the rock. Matthew 7:24

Jesus told us those who follow him are building on “The Rock” . Why? Because Jesus is the truth , life, and the way. Follow false idols and false religions is like building on the sand, there is no foundation or hope

If your storm hasn’t hit its coming, be ready. Build your foundation on Jesus Christ, follow truth, persevere under trials in Jesus Name Amen.
