All Things Are Possible

But Jesus beheld them, and said unto them, With men this is impossible; but with God all things are possible. Matthew 19:26

The other night I was watching a Greys Anatomy episode with my wife, where the couple found out there baby was going to be born with birth defects and were advised to induce labor and let the baby die prematurely.

The mother was a devout Christian her entire life and believed God might be able to save her child, while her husband was an Atheist and believed the child’s life was doomed.

Eventually the mother gave in to everyone’s advice and prematurely induced her labor eventually resulting in the baby’s death.  Honestly it was a powerful episode and can’t help but make you think about the afterlife whether you believe in God or not.

(Matthew 17:20)” And Jesus said unto them, Because of your unbelief: for verily I say unto you, If ye have faith as a grain of mustard seed, ye shall say unto this mountain, Remove hence to yonder place; and it shall remove; and nothing shall be impossible unto you”

The Atheist father said he did believe in miracles and did see some happen, but they both believed this situation would be too much for God.

Makes me think, at what point do we limit God ourselves? Jesus said that “All things are possible” do we really believe that? At what point do we say that’s impossible this can’t be done?

This is why Jesus said if we have faith as small as a Mustard seed we can move mountains. Faith is really more difficult than we perceive. We can say we have faith, but when the time comes and were at the edge do we really have it? Are we really willing to let go all control and hand it over to God?

(John 11:43)” And when he thus had spoken, he cried with a loud voice, Lazarus, come forth.”

Jesus raised Lazarus from the dead, and unthinkable event that was witnessed by many people, our human minds try to comprehend this, how can this happen? The reality is just need to trust in God and not lean on our own understandings.

Before Jesus raised Lazarus he asked Martha “And whosoever liveth and believeth in me shall never die. Believest thou this?” and she replied “She saith unto him, Yea, Lord: I believe that thou art the Christ, the Son of God, which should come into the world.”

Her faith was confirmed therefor she received God’s blessing, see we can’t activate God’s miracles without having faith. Even though it may seem impossible, NOTHING is impossible for God, in Jesus name Amen

The experts said my grandchild would die, never making it to term.
My son and his wife called the mortician, but prayed, and had many pray.
    They refused to induce anything.
My granddaughter is now 2 and very healthy. So, your post hits home with me.

I’ve heard it said by James Maloney (and others who operate in the healing anointing) that unbelief is the biggest sin. I know we hear that no sin is greater than another, but think about it; unbelief keeps us separated from God (if we don’t believe in God), but it also makes any amount of faith void in the believer’s life. It was ultimately the disciples unbelief that caused them to not be able to drive the demon from the boy (Matt. 17:17). You can’t have faith AND unbelief. This is something I personally have been working on. I have gone to many healing conferences and received words of knowledge from those anointed in the healing ministry but have not received my miracle. That creates doubt and unbelief . . . I am now replying soley on God to heal me, not through a man, but through Him and Him alone. I am pouring over His Word getting His TRUTH so rooted in my soul that I believe Him at His word, as He’s not a man that He should lie. All sickness, death, and disease come from the pit of hell, and it IS God’s will that we be whole and healed. You won’t find me praying “if it is your will.” I know my Father’s will. I choose no to settle with my disability, but to continue to press in like the persistent widow. God bless you brother!

It’s all connection… Non- believers can’t pray for believers. Be careful who prays for you. Everyone is not a believer, but might think they are.
This question….”our human minds try to comprehend this, how can this happen?” This is reason for doubt. Our human minds are consumed with an overpowering degree of sin/doubt already. We see it everyday. It’s the spiritual mind that connects to God and faith is born in us. When you surrender your human thinking (all sinful/doubtful thoughts) its easier to live in the spirit and to connect with God. In order to stay connected requires a daily regime of spiritual awareness which will support less doubt. God is always omnipresent and faithful to those who are faithful to Him.

I believe my wife and I saw this episode too, and felt some of the same things as you. It makes me feel so sad for those who do not believe in the Lord. I know this example is just a TV show, but there are many in the real world who reflect some of these same thoughts regarding the things of God, despite the mounting evidence in His favor!

One day, all people will bow before the Great I Am. It’s better we all do so on this side of eternity!

Thank you! I love the name of yours…”Unashamed of Jesus.” Sadly, some of His own children are embarrassed or “ashamed” to let others know of their faith.

They need to read (Luke 9:26)…

“For whoever is ashamed of Me and My words, the Son of Man will be ashamed of him when He comes in His glory, and the glory of the Father and of the holy angels.”

Keep on preaching the good news!
