“If you love Me, you will keep My commandments. John 14:15

Why do you love Jesus? Many people identify themselves as “Christians” but why do you follow Jesus? Many people will say “I follow him to receive eternal life” but is that really love? We must remember that God searches our hearts and minds (Jeremiah 17:10) he knows our true desires. If your just following Jesus to save your life, that is not true love

We should love Jesus because even though he knew no sin, he died for our sins (2 Corinthians 5:21) Jesus is the truth, the living word. If you truly love righteousness than you truly love Jesus. Sin should repulse you, it repulses your Heavenly Father, the creator of the Heavens and the Earth. There will be no sin in the Kingdom of God, therefor those who love sin won’t be there

As Jesus said if you truly love him you would keep the commandments. That means if you truly love God and righteousness and hate sin, then you truly do love Jesus. But if your just following Jesus as a ticket to save yourself from “hell”, the is not true love. And Jesus on the day of Judgement will tell you, “Depart from me you who practice lawlessness, I never knew you (Matthew 7:23) Lawlessness is defined as sin (1 John 3:4) So those who love sin do not truly love Jesus.

Blessed are the pure in heart for they will see God (Matthew 5:8)

The pure in heart or those who hate sin and love righteousness. The pure in heart are those who truly love Jesus Christ and are washed in his blood to stand before the Father in his Kingdom Amen
