The J Bomb

“Do not suppose that I have come to bring peace to the earth. I did not come to bring peace, but a sword. For I have come to turn “‘a man against his father, a daughter against her mother, a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law–a man’s enemies will be the members of his own household.’ Matthew 10:34-36

If you really want to know what people think about you, drop the J bomb on them. When we mention the word Jesus to people it gets a strong reaction, good or bad. This is exactly what Jesus was talking about when he said he brought a sword. We live in a society that likes to be very “politically correct”, we talk about the weather or maybe sports, anything that is safe. But when we discuss Jesus Christ things get more heated. There are many Christians in the world who are persecuted or even killed for mentioning Jesus, why would the world be so fearful of him? Because the world knows he has already defeated it!

Our Jewish brothers and sisters, refer to his Hebrew name “Yeshua”, you hear of many Jewish Christians testimonies about their families disowning them because they accept Jesus as there Lord and Savior. Jewish families are taught and brought up never to mention the name Jesus or talk about him. Little do they know there entire Tanakh (Old Testament) speaks about Jesus throughout it

Jesus said that everyone will hate you because of him (Matthew 10:22) so the question is are you willing to risk rejection and persecution for your Messiah? We have to not caring about pleasing people and more concerned about pleasing God. Because your either a Christian or an Anti-Christ the choice is yours. God bless!

Good one! When I first met a new colleague, we bonded instantly as she referred to Jesus numerous times, how HE was with her in all her challenges on the job! She taught me to talk about Jesus the same way I talk about my other best friend, my husband! To know me and love me is to know I love Jesus!
But these verses always flummoxed me….so this really helps. So far, no one has rejected me because of Jesus in my life….but maybe it happened and the Lord blinded me to it….
