The Lords Prayer

The Lords Prayer giving to us by Jesus himself is one of the most powerful prayers you can say, lets analyze each verse to see why it’s a blessing

Our Father which art in heaven, Hallowed be thy name. Matthew 6:9

First we are acknowledging God as our Heavenly father, by this you acknowledge his is our creator. The world hallowed means “to honor as holy” and “greatly respected” so we say Hallowed be God we are saying he is the holiest and greatest of all.

Thy kingdom come. Thy will be done in earth, as it is in heaven. Matthew 6:10

What is our purpose in life? Our purpose to prepare for the coming of Gods Kingdom, we our acknowledging our purpose will this verse.

Also we are acknowledging we put our lives in Gods hands, whatever his will let it be done. As promised God will restore the Earth back to perfection and innocence as it is in Heaven.

Give us this day our daily bread. Matthew 6:11

Jesus said don’t worry about tomorrow for today has enough trouble of its own. Each day we should focus on that day and ask God to enable us to prosper thu this day.

And forgive us our debts, as we forgive our debtors. Matthew 6:12

Each day we should start by asking for mercy and forgiveness for our sins and forgive others who have sinned against us. By doing this each day you will live in peace. To hold grudges against people who have wronged you will only keep you imprisoned to there actions.

And lead us not into temptation, but deliver us from evil: For thine is the kingdom, and the power, and the glory, for ever. Amen. Matthew 6:13

God promises not to give us more temptation then we can bear, ask for Gods help to keep the temptations of this world away from you so we won’t fall.

Whenever you call upon God he will answer us, so by asking God to deliver us from evil he will protect us from Satan.

Interesting in the NIV translation they removed the last part of this verse. I feel its important because you are acknowledging Gods kingdom reigns forever.

I usually say this prayer each morning to start my day, as this will start your day right with God and protect and prosper you thru the day in Jesus Name Amen

Thank God for the same Holy Spirit who once taught me details, the importance and the powerful uniqueness of the Lord’s Prayer.
Matt.6:9 – “After this manner therefore pray ye:…” Jesus was teaching His disciples to pray.
it is really not a recitation but prayer points.
I have since then been praying likewise every single morning and I never cease to tell those who care to listen and especially in my Talk assignments about this fact.

Thank you @Unashamed of Jesus for reminding me and adding to my knowledge on this most important prayers teaching ever taught.
