And, behold, thou shalt conceive in thy womb, and bring forth a son, and shalt call his name JESUS. Luke 1:31
We probably heard the story of Jesus birth many times in our lives, but can we comprehend the impact this had on the entire world? For the first time “Word became Flesh” (John 1:14) “And the Word was made flesh, and dwelt among us, (and we beheld his glory, the glory as of the only begotten of the Father,) full of grace and truth.”
Well you say what is “The Word”? Reference (John 1:1) “In the beginning was the Word, and the Word was with God, and the Word was God.” So if the Word is God and the Word became flesh (Jesus) then Jesus is the living God When we realize who Jesus is then we understand how important this moment is for us all and the world.
But why would God live thru a “Carpenters Son”? Jesus showed us the true love, mercy, and humility of God. Everyone was expecting the Messiah to be a “Ruthless King” like we humans are used to. But what Jesus showed us is “More of You and Less of Me” (John 3:30)
Jesus has the power and authority to rule the world but decided to suffer and die on the cross for our sins. Why? Because we have not been capable of saving ourselves so he showed us the mercy to do it for us. (Revelations 5:4) “And I cried and cried because no one was found worthy to open the scroll or even to look in it.
When the world justified us being stoned to death for our sins, Jesus showed mercy and forgave the sinner. Gave us another chance to repent and sin no more. (John 8:7)
What God would suffer horrific beatings and taunting from mortal men? Our God, because he loves all his children he’s willing to sacrifice his only begotten son (John 3:16)
So just like the angels Glorified Jesus when he was born so shall we, for every knee shall bow and tounge shall confess Jesus Christ is Lord Amen
