Behold, the days come, saith the LORD, that I will raise unto David a righteous Branch, and a King shall reign and prosper, and shall execute judgment and justice in the earth Jeremiah 23:5
And yet another prophet, Jeremiah, predicted the coming of our King Jesus Christ Almost every prophet in the old Testament foretold the coming of Jesus.
As God has promised he “raised unto David a righteous Branch” meaning Jesus came thru the bloodline of David (Matthew 1:1) “The book of the generation of Jesus Christ, the son of David, the son of Abraham.” Prophecy fulfilled
“And a King (Jesus) shall reign and prosper” We know that Jesus is the King of Kings and Lord of Lords (Revelations 19:16) Therefore this prophecy has been fulfilled by Jesus.
“And shall execute judgment and justice on Earth” Let’s reference scripture (John 5:22) “Moreover, the Father judges no one, but has entrusted all judgment to the Son,” God has giving all authority and power to Jesusl therefore he fulfils this prophecy also.
Also we know Jesus is just (Romans 3:26) Jesus not only bringing hope and salvation to us but justice. For with the authority of God, he will eliminate all evil and rebuild God’s kingdom. (Acts 3:20-21) “And he shall send Jesus Christ, which before was preached unto you: Whom the heaven must receive until the times of restitution of all things, which God hath spoken by the mouth of all his holy prophets since the world began.”
This is why it’s important for us to remind everyone the real reason for Christmas and the importance of the birth of Jesus Christ. There is no greater gift that can be giving to us then the gift we received from God thru Jesus Christ.
Honor your King this season “For every knew shall bow and every tongue confess that Jesus Christ is Lord (Philippians 2:9-11) In Jesus name Amen
